Hey Everyone
I am kind of new to this whole internet dating scene and I am not too comfortable giving my phone # out to a person I am emailing or chatting with until I feel that I have gotten to know them and I feel comfortable.

Today I recieved a really nice email from a young man, I enjoyed his profile and I decided to IM him. The entire converstation consisted of him trying to get me to call him on the phone. Even after I politely declined...he was relentless and ended up just logging off with out even so much as a " hey nice to meet ya!" LOL What a turn-off and dissapointment.

So, when do you make the move?
Right away...what can it hurt?
After 3 emails
After I have ruled out married, serial killer or creep!
Never.....you can never be to safe!!!
Other...please share your experiences

Wrestling with God....

Wrestling.

Me and God on the mat.

Wrestling with God.

But it's not a fair fight. Not a equal match. God, well He is a heavyweight, ya know a pro. Not only is He an expert, a Master of skill and agility, He has invented this sport.(And all things for that matter.)

Me, well I am a novice. I beginner. Unskilled, untrained, I am in the pee wee league.

And yet I seem to challenge God to a face-off time and time again. Recently is no exception.

And for what? I know I can't win. I know I won't win. And truth be told, I don't wanna win....not really.

And yet, I roll around, around, around the mat. Exhausted, sweaty, panting.

I have been pinned in matches past, pinned by love, pinned by grace, mercy, pinned by conviction.

Oh, that God would pin me now and end this futile display.

But I wonder if I could leave it all on the mat. Could I truly concede this match, extend my hand to God in a measure of good sportsmanship, turn and exit the circle and wrestle this issue no more?

REVERSE PERSECUTION?

It would appear to me that here in blogland that their is a general consensus that their are two camps of believers ...

One is deemed right by the majority

One is deemed wrong by seemingly the same.

And how fickle that majority has become. Since most who are now "wrong" were at once here hailed "right". And the same could be said about the reverse.

I personally have no problem with either those deemed right or those deemed wrong. I myself like discussion and seemingly opposing view points, because I certainly have much, much, much to learn and I enjoy being challenged, I enjoy questioning, researching scriptures and asking the Father Himself for confirmation or clarity.

What troubles me is this reverse persecution, when the camp of the "right" forces bloggers into the camp of the "wrong" by labeling, accusing alliances, crying wolf, and literally exhibiting the same frightful behavior that they seemly abhor and protest.

Some say they are Champions for Truth.

And others say they are Champions for Love.

The Loves point out the faults of the Truths for the sake of sparing others hurt and the Truths point out the flaws of the Loves for the same....

So in the end both truth and love are tarnished. And what is gained?

Even the most despicable among us here have been bought with a price, and even the the most revered was desolate with out a Savior.

........hey

LOL....I forgot to write this in my other TWO blogs today LOL....

Monday I start training at the new CareNet facility to become a peer counselor and work with women in crisis pregnancy situations.

I am extremely excited about this opportunity.

Please keep me in your prayers concerning this and other future opportunities.

Truth be told I am more interseted in learning about the director's role and responsibilities in managing a ministry and outreach such as this. Not that I am necissarily striving to be the director of this particular ministry but something I would like to have knowledge about for the future..ya know.

Well anyways I love you guys....Have a blessed day all of you!!!!

GOD as HE longs for us to see HIM ......

I just joined a small group study on...
God as He longs for you to see Him.

It's based on a book by the same name written by Chip Ingram and basically it explores the attributes of God in hopes to allow us to begin to see God for who He really is and let that revalation transform who we are, how we relate to God and to each other, the world.

I am very excited about it...I listen to Chip Ingram on the radio and I also get his free podcasts from itunes. I love his teaching style and the way he breaks things down and goes one step further into application and what that may look like in your life.

I was just wondering if any one had ever read this book or if you listen to this radio program?

What books or studies have you really enjoyed in your own life?

I will no doubt be sharing any and all great things God shares with me through this study...

Look forward to reading your comments...BE BLESSED

Hey Friends

I went shopping today and GUESS WHAT?

EVERYTHING I bought was one size SMALLER!!!

LOL LOL

I have been having some health issues over the last six months or so and I had to totally change my eating habits and as well as some medication and I guess it is paying off! LOL

I have been feeling better and hey...smaller when it comes to clothes sizes is always a plus!

I have only been really following the new diet for about a week and a half and I do not own a scale....so I was very pleasantly surprised.

BUT.....I really do not want to loose too much weight, for one because I have always been a curvy kind of girl and I like that!
And two because if I get too small I can't shop at my favorite store anymore!!!!! LOL

I don't care what any one says....I for one love being a girl and all the girly things that come along with! Shopping, Shoes, and Sales!!!

Blessings Everyone ...

Hey Friends

Do you find that you are especially drawn to certain phrases or themes in worship music....like if a certain word or emotion, or name for God or something, when you hear it in a song...it just touches you differnt or your just drawn to sing it more?

For example with me, songs that speak to seeing, looking, eyes and vision seem to really strike me. I love to listen to and sing Be Thou my Vision, for example.

I also love to sing the name of Jesus....any song that has the name of Jesus.....I just love it.

Here is a new song I like, and I also just bought. Hope you like it too....Be Blessed!

Artist Name- Bebo Norman
Song lyrics- I will lift my eyes

God, my God, I cry out
Your beloved needs You now
God, be near, calm my fear
And take my doubt

Your kindness is what pulls me up
Your love is all that draws me in

I will lift my eyes to the Maker
Of the mountains I can’t climb
I will lift my eyes to the Calmer
Of the oceans raging wild
I will lift my eyes to the Healer
Of the hurt I hold inside
I will lift my eyes, lift my eyes to You

God, my God, let Mercy sing
Her melody over me
God, right here all I bring
Is all of me

‘Cause You are and You were
and You will be forever
The Lover I need to save me
‘Cause You fashioned the earth
and You hold it together, God
So hold me now

Hey EveryOne

Yesterday my and I were at the laundry mat and we were talking about a bunch of different things....trying to keep him occupied, ya know!

And I brought up the topic of step-dads and what would be some important traits to my , that a potential step-dad might have.

His criteria is as follows: (In this order)
1) He must like white bread! (We have switched to wheat and my is very unhappy with the choice! )

2) He must be rich....after some more discussion, he is willing to settle for enough money to pay for a wedding and a Nintendo DS!

3) He must love animals and be able to whistle. And of course I asked...Able to whistle?
To which my relplied, How else will he call the dog , mom!(Now we do not have a mind you, so marriage to my also means not only adding a man to our family but also a dog!)

...how can ya not just love them!!!!

So if you know of anyone who matches this discription....just let me know!

Organization or Organism....Take Two

Hey Everyone....

I have been thinking on some things...I would love your input.

Do you think the "Church and the "Body" are the same thing?

I think in scripture they are referring to the same thing.

But out here I think they have taken on different meanings. I have been thinking about how church has become more organization....and less organism.

We are the body, we are the bride...that is life, that is relationship, intimacy. That is living, Christ living in us living...that is organism. Functioning body....living, breathing body.

In our culture...independence is king. Be your own person....make your own choices...do what is best for you....

..that individualist outlook has crept in the church too. It's my walk, my struggle, my growth, my joy....it's me and God. Just me and God and we are alright....

But Christ said He is coming back for one Bride....not large number of individual believers??? That has to have significance.

Elect is a corporate term...it is plural. I think that we don't realize that....

I heard a word for this year about heaven rejoicing over people coming out of dead structures...

Organization is lifeless.....these are some things I have been pondering.

BTW..I titled this take two...because I started to writing once and then suddenly I hit something and closed everything down..????...LOL
