Right before I came to BC, I had a real blind date....you know a friend of a friend knows somebody, a fixer-upper kind of a thing!!!

I had the courtesy of speaking to this blind date beforehand, which I thought was great. The guy had a nice voice and sounded decent. We actually had a few things of interest in common and everything was set for the blind date.

On the day he arrived.....I was dressed in a beautiful short sleeved, form fitting red blouse that tied in the back, a pair of dressy black...ummm...sort of tight jeans, and cute/sexy-ish 3-inch sandal heels. We were to go to the movies and then dinner.

My blind date gets to my driveway....steps out of the car and I couldn't believe his attire!!!! Here goes.....sneakers, scruffy/worn out black jeans, a cartoon shirt and cartoon cap to match.

Certainly I felt one of us was overdressed while the other under-dressed. He told me he would be dressed semi-fancy as we would be going out to a nice restaurant after the movie.

This is going to be a continuation story....to let you know what actually happened....but also to know how you might react in the same situation!!!

Sooooooooo..........what would have been the best thing to do in this situation???

a. Say something to him?
b. Say nothing, but dart away quickly and change to match his ensemble?
c. Go out on the date anyhow, so it's embarrassing, it's not the end of the world...yeah he doesn't know how to dress....he needs a woman's taste and style?
d. Tell him to hit the road?
e. Other.....explain!!

It's so very sad.....I've been busy lately reacquainting with some of my old friends and a girlfriend reached out to me with her troubles. She had already had an uncaring/cheating husband her first time around and so when she met Mr. Right#2 she believed him to be the paradise she longed....she now tells me it's more like paradise lost!!!

Perhaps it wasn't love....her second time around, but merely bandaging the wounds of LOVE. I, of course, could never be the judge of something like that. Though she revealed the manner in which she met her second husband. She was separated from her first, met the second, and became pregnant even before her divorce was final. When she discovered she was pregnant, she was unsure whether the baby was her husband's or the new-to-be husband.

Though things went well in the beginning.....the excitement of the new baby and all......now that baby number 2 has come along, he's become lazy, he doesn't want to do anything around the house, if she mentions her worries to him, he tells her not to tell him her troubles. They argue where they hadn't before.

Soooooooo where did the love go???

Sometimes when friends reveal their troubles or unload them, they aren't really looking for an answer but rather just to release tension and get something off their chest.

To me, personally, I feel very deeply for couples who fall out of love....it's no fun. Who's to say where things went wrong......but I often feel that if both parties don't strive to keep things together, make the marriage the best it can be....then they're only headed for trouble. We can choose not to love as much as we choose to love. Where there is love God's presence is very strong......when we love less.....it weakens His presence.........it's no wonder marriages/relationships fail!!! I think it truly all has to do with LOVE!!!

We all have something that when we hear it named, i.e., Ice cream.....we say.....oh, I love that....and our mind dances happily with all delight, we are excited and long for it!!! Right?

Well, it should be the same as when we either hear our loved one's name or they are in our presence.....just like the snap of our fingers.....they should excite us and make us come alive....."just like they used to" to use a familiar phrase.

Soooooooo, it looks like if we keep the LOVE in it, it will last forever!!! Don't ya think???

Love is such a strong feeling, an emotion that has many directions and can include an abundance of things, especially people, whether it's our family, our friends, our one and only, or God!!!

I really do believe that the most incredible thing in this world is Love!!!!

I used to play this particular song of Billy Joel's over and over and today, it's been a while since I've heard it. Usually, it totally pulls greatly at my heart, half in pain of heartache and half in knowing that it's so special to share your heart fully with someone, trusting someone completely enough to give your heart to them.

I know how to love and give my heart but I haven't experienced it in return......you know, to be given someone's heart....to win their heart, as the saying goes. Even though I didn't experience it, yet, I think it's kind of the love you feel when God extends His mighty, but tender hand in comfort when pain is too great!!

And So It Goes

Recently, I discovered two things about blogging and they are....first if you do a blog and put it on private....you know, by selecting the option to pre-review all comments before they show up, it shows how many comments you've received but not whether or not there are any new comments as does a regular blog.

So when someone comments, since it's on the review/private it does not show up on the side panel under Most Recent Comments Made By Others. If you have a fantastic memory it's easy enough to realize there's another comment when it's one or more up from that, but if that post slides off to page 2, then it gets difficult. One way I remedied this was by putting my own post on watch!!!

And the second little thingy I discovered is while I was away at my training seminars and did the blind date blog, I thought it would be easier if I just printed out all the responses, curled up in bed with my laptop, and entered the information in to get results for blind date match ups. Hmmmmmm.....seemed easy enough. There were three pages at that time. I figured it would probably amount to perhaps six or seven total pages as printed..........YIKES.........to my surprise, one full page equaled 10 printed pages!!! Who would have thought??? That would have been 30 pages I had to juggle around.....not to mention a waste of paper as I'd be tossing it as soon as I was finished.

Sooooooooooooo.....in case you didn't know.....now you do!!!

We are God's from the moment of birth. He made us to love and worship Him while we're on our journey here on earth. So we honor, obey and love him each and every day. He gives us peace and joy in just knowing Him. We endure many trials and hardships here on earth, though, at times find life cruel and hard, but nothing is impossible with our Loving Lord. He gives us His wisdom and guidance in everything that we do.

It is the times that we endure trials and hardships that gets so confusing. Long standing prayers seem to go unanswered, yet, perhaps the answer is, no. Why is the answer no????? If the Bible says, ask and it shall be given to you....then why is the answer no? If nothing is impossible with God....then why do certain things we pray for not take place???

Has anyone ever contemplated this before? It just dawned on me this past Sunday as the the message of our scripture read was......ask and it shall be given you.

Hmmmm.......I've been asking for something very specific for quite a long, long time.....what does one need to do in order that it be given to them?

It's awfully confusing!! Does anyone have a good explanation?

Do you really hate it when your parents argue....I do. Actually, I don't like it when any couple argues or has major disagreements.....and even worse, if they actually resort to physical altercations!!!

My parents just seem to argue constantly. And I've noticed some of my siblings do the same. It seems like as if right from the day they were married it's been the same way, yelling, bickering, and becoming aggravated over nothing at all. How do they make is last? It's beyond me. I hate arguments.....even hearing them.....UUUUUGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!

I'm glad it doesn't run in the family in me!!!

I'm not the type of person who cares at all to argue or disagree. It's not my nature. I'm too easy going. Live my life simply and I don't nag.......yep, I don't nag!!!

For me, I seek joy and happiness, cozy relaxation with the one I care about, togetherness, fun and laughter. I just don't see the need to be so huffy, over opinionated, or the need to be right!!!

Sooooooooo, is it actually healthier to argue with your spouse everyday....does it make a better marriage.....perhaps fighting over the small stuff actually helps them come together over big things???? I dunno!!!

I'm just puzzled to know that these type people really make it work!!!

I'll never know.....cuz, BC removed the "Hot List" tab of complied data!!!

I've seen, especially, women complain they really hated that feature!! Never bothered me.

I remember when I first came to BC.....I made the biggest mistake of my life......if I looked at a profile I clicked to add it to that list because I wanted to know whether or not I viewed someone's profile.....I didn't want to re-review guys' profiles by mistake and then they'd be thinking....gee, this girl thinks I'm something special!!! Well.....duh.....what I did was worse.....by adding them to my "Hot List" it gave the wrong impression!!!

I laugh about it now.....but I couldn't figure out why I had soooooooo many men bothering me......it dawned on me after a while that the emails I'd get were from the guys I "Hot Listed"!!! That and one of our fellow bloggers mentioned I "Hot Listed" him and explained it to me!!!

You see, I also didn't know anyone else would be able to see that information!!!

So, yeah.......my being Hot Listed was very very high!!! So now guys are sending waves, hugs, winks......and even kisses!!! I tried it out, tried to send a wave.......hmmmmmm.......I was told I winked.....no....no....no.....I didn't so maybe one must be a paying member to send something other than a wink!!!

It's strange how once you begin blogging.....you don't even look at all this information any longer!! It just happened to catch my eye all these different features BC put in place.....I do like the feature where if you roll the mouse over someone's picture it pops up all sorts of info....that's cool!!!

I noticed also there's info about what you're friends are doing.....sometimes it indicates a new blog they've posted and at other times it shows they renewed their membership or went from silver to gold.....like who cares......if they blog I'm going to see it.....and it's none of my business what membership status they are....wonder why that feature is there......not too helpful.....just a waste of time and space, don't ya think????
