Does anyone else have a problem trying to leave comments on blogs, emails, or even reply on your own blog?

I've noticed anywhere there is that required number it shows as click to listen!

Anyhow.....I've signed out and waited for a while but it's still the same.

Hope it's just a temporary glitch!

Perhaps you've heard this one before....maybe it'll make some of us laugh today!!

A daft man wanders along a baptismal service on Sunday afternoon down by the river.

He proceeds to walk down into the water and stand next to the preacher. The minister turns and notices him as someone who's been hanging around but never participates and says, "Mister, are you ready to find Jesus?"

The man looks back and says, "Yes, Preacher, I sure am."

The minister then dunks the fellow under the water and pulls him right back up. "Have you found Jesus?" the preacher asked.

"Nooo, I didn't!" he responds.

The preacher then dunks him under for quite a bit longer, brings him up and says, "Now, brother, have you found Jesus?"

"Noooo, I have not, Reverend."

The preacher in disgust holds the man under for at least 30 seconds this time, brings him out of the water and says in a harsh tone, "My God, man, have you found Jesus yet?"

The man wipes his eyes and says to the preacher, "Are you sure this is where he fell in?"

HEHEHE!!! Come on I know you laughed!!!

I've been rejected, loved and then unloved, just like most of us here....we all know what pain and heartache love lost is or to no longer have that love returned, it's broken and can't be repaired, etc.....but is it possible to feel what it's like for God not to love us?

I'm not sure if it's even possible that God would even for a moment not love us......and actually I think if it were possible it just might kill us instantly! But I do know that we will be judged someday....so I guess if Heaven isn't the judgment result....would it then be that we'd not be loved by God? This is just hard for me to contemplate since I'm just 100% happy with the fact that God loves me and I never want to think there's anything else!!!

What are your thoughts?

Actually, my nephew needed to do a report for school and asked to use my computer because I have a printer and he doesn't.

I, of course, gladly agreed!!!

Ohhhhhhhh, poor little boy.....he needs to look at the keys to type. Problem is since I do an extreme amount of typing, between 20,000 to 30,000 words a day, some of my keys are just blank, namely these......OILES (and the greater and less than symbols, too....but for some reason BC doesn't allow those symbols to be used in the blogs....probably cuz it's a coding symbol and could interfere somehow) and then half of the lettering of these keys is worn away.......MCWANK

Even the little raised indicators on the F and the J have worn away....you know, that little bump on the F and J that's supposed to let you know where your right and left index finger is to be positioned.....that is, for those who don't look at their fingers when they type!

Needless to say I typed his report!!! He tells me though....kid advice, you know.......I think it's time for a new keyboard! But for me, what's the difference....the keyboard works great and the only time I need to look at it is when typing all the numbers and any of the symbols on the number keys. Truthfully, I don't have long enough fingers to reach the number keys.....so I've always had to look!

I've used loads of computers and it's always been the same way, I wear out the key lettering!!!

A pet peeve of mine is that whenever working a new job....I could never begin a position until I first cleaned all the equipment I was to use.....and if the keyboard was beyond a general cleaning, like say if something spilled like coffee or soda on it or was badly stained.....I just bought a new keyboard of my own!!! I know, I'm sooo fussy!!! But to me appearance, having always dealt with customers, was something I kept forefront....besides....just thinking about all those years of germs.....and crumbs in the keyboard......nope......a new one suits me just fine!!!

Hey, yep, I even clean my remote for the TV.....and no I'm not a neat freak....I just notice the places where grunge and grime from constant finger use shows up and have always made it a part of my routine of clean up!

So what does your keyboard look like? Missing letters like mine?

BTW, my keyboard is black in color.....the first time I've ever had anything other than the usual off-white!!! And I kind of like it.

Are You Passionate About Reading.....Or Do You Hate To Read? Sep 12, 2008 11:11 am

I will be very honest and say I hate reading anymore!!

My reason is because every day I'm responsible for capturing every exact word people say, working as a legal/corporate reporter, looking at words for pleasure kind of isn't my thing anymore. So something really has to draw me in and keep me else I just don't read it. I think that's understandable, don't ya think???

But I'm curious.....since I'm going to give this writing thing another try.....I'd like to know (as it may inspire me) what guys read....what holds their attention, where they pick up a book or a magazine and read it from cover to cover. Of course I want to know the same of the ladies, too. But being a woman I kind of know what we women read.....we may not always love what we read but do anyhow to gain answers to questions that we find the answer isn't there anyhow, just the hype!!!

So help me out, tell me what's the name of the book or at least the genre you like best???

Do You Like Sleeping With Someone??? Sep 12, 2008 10:31 am

I remember growing up having to bunk with my sister....it was okay as far as sharing a room and even the bed with her.....but.....she was impossible to sleep with....always moving, kicking, touching me with her cold feet and then getting smacked in the middle of the night by her flailing arms......YIKES!!!

So I thought I was ruined forever to allow anyone to sleep in my bed!!!

But I have to admit there's a coziness and a closeness of sleeping with a husband that's very comforting......until.....of course, he started snoring......or breathing for that matter....when all is quiet even his breathing was loud....but I think it was always a precursor to or perhaps in lieu of his......snoring!!

I'm a very light sleeper so noises tend to wake me up. Even the sound of someone rolling over during the night wakes me!!

I used to get upset (but kept it to myself) with being disturbed every night, not really getting the rest and sleep I needed. I'd feel restless, longing to toss and turn....but never wanted to disturb him.....gees, tit for tat, huh???

Talk about pressure.........first we search for our perfect one and only and then we find out we can't sleep with them!!!

Anyone else come across this same situation? Or is it only us light sleepers who will unfortunately have trouble with this all our lives???

The other morning I was in a hurry getting ready, after applying moisturizer I didn't wipe my hands clean before dotting on a bit of foundation!

Now ladies know moisturizer on hands and a glass bottle don't mix!!!

Yep, oops, dropped it on my lap and it spilled all over my outfit. Seriously not having enough time to pre-treat, I just changed quickly and dealt with it later.

Big mistake, right? Actually, as I reached for the stain remover, I accidentally grabbed Lysol Orange Breeze, an all purpose cleaner and sprayed it on the stain. Oops.....nope.....not an oops, the stain came out easily. So I purposely used it on a few other items and found it to work great!!! Imaging that!!

Did anybody know about that laundry trick? How about any others???

Does Opportunity Ever Knock Twice? Sep 9, 2008 9:12 am

Most people say it does not, therefore we have to grab the opportunity as it presents itself the first time!!!

I'm not so sure!!!

But then again, perhaps, what I believe may be opportunity is actually destiny!!

I have three areas of opportunity that continually present themselves to me or is it destiny???

One is a place to live. I found a home ten years ago that I fell in love with though it was seriously out of my reach. I know I wasn't making enough money at the time, had no down payment, etc., and because I did nothing about it, it quickly slipped away. Now ten years later, the same house is available and is just a tiny bit out of my reach. The house is in absolute terrific condition, really move in.....just a cleaning and personal changes, that's it! So I've got to make a decision.......because truly opportunity is a knocking!!! Twice, ya think???

Second is for the last 15 years of my life people have been telling me to write a novel!! Be an author!!! Well, I've published somewhat, articles, three children's books, and was a journalist for a newspaper! None of which led anywhere or afforded me funds to pursue it any further. Of late, it seems everyone I run into keeps telling me I ought to write a novel of my experiences and encounters. I was just presented with an invitation to work with professors and fellow authors to get something publish........so what's odd is that I do believe I have readers, because it was very evident working at the newspaper, sales went up and people came right out telling me and praising my work! But I have such extreme anxiety over submitting my work to publishers......we all know you can submit to 100 and 99 will reject your work! It's finding that one that's most difficult! And who can spend all their time just finding that one???? Writing in one's spare time would work well here.....but, hey, what's spare time????? So, here I think I hear opportunity knocking yet again!!! But what to do????

And then there is LOVE!!! Ugggghhhhh!!! Admittedly, I just don't understand it!!! So many opportunities come to pass, meeting and dating guys.....yet (sorry to some guys) it's just not an opportunity at all! And then with others.....there's a wonderful opportunity, yet the guy has no intention of getting serious any time soon, if ever!! Go figure!!! Opportunity knocking.....I don't know!! Destiny..............oh, please........thought destiny was soooooooo much easier!!!

So what do you all think???? Do you have opportunity in your life that seems to knock more than once?

An Awesome Business/Pleasure Trip!! Sep 9, 2008 8:00 am

Recently I had the opportunity.....or perhaps burden.....to visit Manhattan....NYC for a business trip that was to also include a night out on the town!!!

I have to admit, I was treated royally, not only by being picked up in a stretch limousine, but also returned safely home in same!!! I was so lucky to have had that safety fortune!!!

Actually, however, riding in a limo was no big deal (sorry, but it wasn't my first experience) it's just been part of my job. Seriously for anyone who may not have had the opportunity.....to me.........it's like riding in any other vehicle. The only part that shocks me every time is when pulling up to curbside and I get out......I wonder why all heads turn and eyes are on me. That's freaky! Then it dawns on me it's just the limo.....not me!!! But on this occasion, I think it was a little bit because of me!! Here's why.....and yes, I laugh now, but I didn't then!!! I was wearing a pretty outfit and my skirt though long had side slits that reach a respectable area of just an inch above the knee. A little sexy but still very modest. However from a seated position and scooting over to the edge of the limo to get out gracefully and elegantly while wearing heels, my skirt kind of took an extreme upward hike. Okay......so everyone saw a little bit too much leg and perhaps then some.....YIKES.

Oh, well. Good thing I had fast hands and righted the situation quickly. I'm just glad I didn't hook my heel in the hem of my skirt and fall flat on my face!

My business meeting consisted of a little over 40....MEN!!! Ooooooooooooo la la!!! They were all executive types, mainly business men from the US but several from around the world!! Kind of intimidating to be the only woman in the room!!! It went well and was actually a bit of fun!

I only wish I had taken more photos and had more time to explore all of Manhattan! I guess since I hadn't, this way I'm more inclined to revisit soon!

The architecture of buildings and bridges I found amazing. And something else sort of surprised me, is the noise or business.....I didn't seem to see that or experience it. It was actually quite peaceful! Amazing, huh????

In this photo below, I'm not sure exactly where the location is but.....if anyone knows me a little bit they'll understand why I found it to be one of the best places I visited...........cuz, I love the water!!!

I believe that's the Hudson River and across the way is something called the Palisades!

So that's kind of it for my......hey, you know something, this was actually sort of my very first pleasure trip (I know, I know, mixed with a little business in there, too) but seriously the last time I was on a vacation.....hmmmmm.....seems like ages ago!!! Even when I went to the lake during the winter, it was more business than fun!!!

I think I'm getting the bug for travel!!! Hmmmmm....that's a new leaf for me!!! Only thing is going places don't mean as much unless you go and share them with someone!! This trip taught me that!!!

The time has come where I must confess, I can't blog any longer!!!

For several months, my life has grabbed hold of growth and opportunity, occupying me entirely and thus not leaving much time to communicate, share or even play among the blogs!!! So I'm giving up. Though, I'll still try to hop around visiting fellow blogs from time to time!!!

Sorry I've not responded to the last blog (if I get the chance....I shall)!!
