Holiday Wishes & A Christmas Kiss Dec 19, 2007 12:09 pm
Mood: cheerful, 807 Views

Holiday Wishes

I made a Christmas wish for you,
a wish for Christmas filled
with joyous holiday cheer.

The stars will be bright
and the sky will be clear
And all whom you love
will be happy and near.

Your home will be warm,
and everything right
With laughter and smiles
flowing into the night.

Your hopes and your wishes
will surely come true,
With all that you've dreamed of
just waiting for you.

All that you've given
will cause so much cheer,
And all whom you love
will be happy and near.

***********************************

A Christmas Kiss

I've watched from afar, so timid and shy
my efforts a bit too polite.
Ever so hoping he'd sweep me off my feet
painfully wishing tonight could be that night.

I've waited long for a kiss so dear.
And the mere thought
keeps me from celebrating with good cheer.

Oh, how I wish he'd glance my way
just him noticing would fill me with such bliss.
So I wait patiently by the mistletoe,
ready with my heart to be captured by his kiss.

Merry Christmas

So all in good cheer...who would you like to greet with a kiss or send good wishes to this year???

Can You Spare A Prayer?? Dec 18, 2007 11:32 am
Mood: shocked, 601 Views
Recently something has been bothering me....I couldn't put my finger on it until this morning when I woke up and caught the annoying issue still mulling around in my mind. I am relieved to finally know what's been disturbing my mood. It is one that I believe needs prayer.

Sometimes in my line of work I handle criminal cases and for the past couple of weeks I've been working out in California where this problem seems to be so prevalent.

Because I cannot reveal much about the cases I handle, due to confidentiality, I can give you a brief overview.

Our children are at great risk!! Prayer is desperately needed to end racism!

Children....just 14-years old, 15, 16 and even up to 18-years old are literally killing one another. In schools they form gangs, on the street they form gangs. Hispanics hating the Blacks (African-Americans---sorry to be blunt but the word Blacks is the words used when one nationality describes their hatred for the other) and vice versa.

Dislike goes on all over the world and exists as little as in newborn babies, but the display of out and out racism amongst our children is a very bad sign for the future.

To describe the scene, during an investigation of a battery and stabbing that occurred in a community neighborhood park in California. It is among young adults that this scene is becoming so commonplace. Police seem to hesitate in responding perhaps to rather deal with a homicide than toss two children in jail or risk taking a bullet in crossfire. As one mother remarked, she believes the police feel if someone is murdered, it's one less criminal they have to chase.

Children's attitudes are so overly focused on fitting into their gang, having respect among their group, showing loyalty, and defending the honor of the gang. This is their way of life. They don't play childhood games, they're not into sports, they disrupt school teaching (teachers just ignore it and go on....knowing they've no other choice as retaliation ends in fatality). Drugs is the big scene for these kids.

The investigation into this gruesome battery and stabbing is just awful. And I know I'm privileged to hear the words straight from criminal minds...in this case, criminal babies.

The 15-year old talks of being messed with and dishonored because the other guy didn't pay him $4 for some weed. That's how it all started, over $4. The 15-year old claims he is well respected and known among everyone and everyone knows not to cross him. So the fight is on. Big talk for a little child..."it was just man-to-man, one-on-one, but then my backups got angry because the other guy got in a few good punches so my boy took care of him with a bat, really broke his bones. That will teach him. He deserved to get stabbed for dishonoring me and my boys."

If that talk isn't bad enough, the investigation lead further in speaking with the child's mother, who was full of nothing but pride and information. A mother absolutely in support of her child is wonderful, but in this situation, what's going on. This mother spoke of her child's every move and plan, she indicated that her child was very brilliant, intelligent, and street smart. She said her child knows, "how to handle himself and if the cops come nosing around, he knows exactly what to say and how to say it. He can lead a cop on a wild goose chase, and leave them baffled beyond belief. He's one smart boy." She went on to applaud her child's behavior and brag that he knows how to sneak around and run away from rival gang members without getting caught.

What future have they to look forward to, jail, death? They certainly have no remorse for the actions they take...and they have no good authority of discipline.

So, please, if anyone can spare a little prayer for our children it's desperately needed. Thanks for your help to stop racism, starting with our children!!

Because I’m A Girl, To Whom Love Is Everything... Dec 16, 2007 4:55 pm
Mood: relaxed, 497 Views
It's impossible to understand what's going through a guy's heart. You told me that you wanted me and now that I've given you everything, you tell me you're leaving. You told me that it was the first time you felt this way, and said that I was special. I believed you and...it was happiness. You should have told me that your feelings had faded. I had no idea and I continued to depend on you. Although I say I hate you, I'll be missing you. Because I'm a girl, to whom love is everything...They say that when you give a guy all he wants he quickly gets bored and now I know that's the truth. And although I tell myself, I'll never be tricked by love again, I fall in love, and my heart is broken again...Please don't break the hearts of girls, who'll do anything for love...I don’t know that living life while being loved would be so hard. Today we broke up. You told me to meet someone better than you, and be happy...You're just like all the other guys...What happened to when you told me that you loved me? Honestly, I don't want you to be happy. What am I going to do if you really forget about me? I'm in so much pain, more pain than I can bare...Because I'm still in love with you...

Wow! Love is powerful!!! These are not my words but those of a very sad love song I happened to come across on You Tube, it's 8 minutes long, titled Sad love song KISS - Beacause I'm a Girl (spelled incorrectly as that's the way it's titled). If you watch the video (it's a foreign artist, though with English subtitles) it's beautiful....but it will make you cry!!! Well, maybe not guys, but it will to girls who love is everything!!!

Mood: sleepy, 477 Views
Are you ready to go Cyber-Shopping???

The list below contains the gift giver and gender of the recipient!! As a reminder, since there's no money involved, your gift can be as crazy, wonderful, genuine, perfect, and extravagant as your imagination allows. (The only rule is if it's a gag gift.....that's great, it will make things really fun.....but you have to exchange a real gift also) Gook luck, shoppers!!!

But what does the numbers actually mean, other than just a fair way to be matched up for the exchange?? Hehehe Here goes.

Your unique number indicates the number of times you must do the following:

1 Wish a Merry Christmas!
2 Songs you'll listen to until Christmas Day!
3 Count your blessings and don't stop until you reach that number!
4 The blogs you'll visit before the end of the year!!

Hmmmmm.........What else could it mean?
