All in one day...

HER DIARY

I asked him what was wrong...he said, "Nothing." I asked him if it was my fault that he was upset. He said it had nothing to do with me and not to
worry. On the way home, I told him that I loved him, but he simply smiled and kept driving. I can't explain his behavior; I don't know why he didn't say, "I love you, too." When we got to my home, he stayed a while, but I felt as if I had lost him, as if he wanted nothing to do with me anymore. He just sat there and watched TV; he seemed distant and absent. Finally, he left and I decided to go to bed early. I knew I could not take it anymore, and I wanted to confront him with the situation but since it was so late and he probably was asleep I changed my mind. I started crying and cried until I fell asleep. I do not know what to do. I’m almost sure that his thoughts are with someone else. My life is a disaster.

A man heading to a new health clinic came across a woman running out of the building. The woman was screaming like anything. So the man grabbed hold of her to calm her, then asked, "Why are you screaming?" The woman replied, "I came here for a blood test." The man consoled, then prodded, "So? What's the matter? Are you afraid of needles?" The woman replied, "No. I've never been before, but during this blood test they cut my finger." Hearing this the man let her go and in horror jumped up. The woman became astonished and asked, "What's wrong?" The man replied as he hurriedly moved away, "I've come for a urine test."

Met A Non-BC Guy Last Night.......Don't Know If I Want To Date Him Jan 1, 2008 9:05 am

I wasn't going to go out last night as I never have celebrated New Year's Eve other than at home with my then ex or my family. But my sister-in-law encouraged me to join them. So, not having other plans, I did!

I felt kind of awkward to actually go out to a party at 11:30 at night, as that's usually the time I start keeping a close eye on my watch, but being New Year's Eve what else can one expect.

It didn't take long for Micheal to come over and introduce himself. I had only seen him in his picture but meeting him was such a big difference.

We chatted and started getting to know each other and apart from his good looks, he seemed like a kind and caring person. We were getting along quite well but then he felt he must reveal something to me about his past.

First he told me something, which later I felt was sort of silly....his ex-wife's name was Lisa. He said he thought it odd to meet someone with the same first name as his ex. So I indicated the situation was about to get a little more strange as my ex's name was Michael. We laughed about it, but had to admit it certainly seemed odd. Michael said he didn't have a problem with it, but asked if I had. I asked what he meant.....his reply.....for dating, of course. Okay. I got a little shocked....wow, already, he's thinking about dating me.

As the night went on.....by the way, we were so engrossed in conversation, we missed the whole kiss at midnight thing......but then he told me what he finally wanted me to know about his past, and that was something that worried me.

He revealed his imprisonment for drugs, sale, use, and abuse, among other criminal behavior and such. He indicated he found Jesus while in prison and now he is a different person, though he does struggle from time to time with his old habits.

The moment I heard the words prison and drugs, I put the breaks on as far as there being any romantic possibilities between us.

Now this morning I feel so guilty as I've learned he's supposed to stop by for dinner later this evening. (I didn't tell anyone of our conversation as it was so late and he drove me home)

At mass this morning all I did was pray about it.

You see, Michael is someone whom I don't know, though I know his mother and had seen his picture in her home. She never talked about her son over the many years in knowing her other than to say he lives away. I understand she didn't want to admit his being in prison.

So I believe I've already made my decision not to date him, but then why do I feel guilty about my decision?

I know I don't need all that trouble in my life. And truly, I'm not strong enough to handle it. I feel it would just crush me. Even though people say put your past behind you and leave it there, unfortunately, I know that the past always comes back and haunts. So I've always tried very hard to keep my past clean and holy.

So the start of my New Year has me feeling like a terrible person.....and I think it's because I feel like I'm judging him. I don't know. I know I have to make the ultimate decision, and I know this is not the first time a man who's committed crimes has taken a liking to me either, but gee, I believe I'm loosing all hope for real love here.

This little mind crazy teaser will give some gauge of your mental flexibility, creativity, and animal cunning. Below are only four questions and a bonus question. All you have to do is answer them instantly. You can't take your time, answer all of them immediately. Okay?
