Where do you happen to keep your TV remote control?

Most logically is on the couch, coffee table, or side table next to the couch, right?

Well, while visiting an elderly couple the other day, I happened to notice every time either of them wanted the volume level raised, decreased, or to switch the channel, they got up from their chair, walked over to the television set........picked up the remote control, then proceeded with their controlling desires!!! Huh???? I don't get it.

Sooooooooooooooo.......I had to ask!!! Is the reason they do this for exercise so one does not become an absolute couch potato, especially in the elderly years? No!!! That was certainly not it.

Was it because the batteries were low in the control unit so in the meantime this was the perfect solution until batteries were purchased??? No!!! This was definitely not it either.

Oh, yes, now it makes sense, since there is no coffee table and the only other table in the room happens to be out of reach from both the couch or chair....this has to be it!! No!!! Again, wrong as wrong can be.

The explanation is as simple as this......so it won't get lost!!! Go figure!!!

Here is a short little test just in time for Valentine's Day that will reveal much about you and the way you love!!!

1. You are walking or driving to your boy/girlfriend's house. There are two roads you can take. One is a straight, takes you there quickly, but very boring. The other is significantly longer but is full of wonderful sights and interesting things, stores, gift shops, eateries. Which one do you take?

[FOR MEN ONLY] 2. On the way you see two rose bushes alongside the road full of red roses. There are 20 roses altogether. You decide to pick them for your girlfriend. What number of roses do you pick?

[FOR WOMEN ONLY] 2. You picked up for your boyfriend some candy. What is the number of candy you have for him?

3. You finally get to their house. A family member answers the door. They invite you in then give you an option, which do you chose, either:

I won't be blogging for quite a while, in fact, this will be my last........until I post another blog that is!!!

But until I actually leave for vacation on February 14th, I will make a few comments here and there!!

I'll not be back until the end of the month or beginning of March!!

Am I going anywhere special??? No. Not really. Just to a cottage on a lake owned by some very dear friends of mine!! It's much more beautiful in the summer but there is much beauty, relaxation, and fun in the winter as well!!



I really wish I could have made plans to go off to a beach or somewhere in Venice, England, even Italy......oh, such DREAMS......well, maybe, someday!!

Where would you like to go, assuming it were possible and all worries set aside???

Oh, I'm in such love with this blogger it drives me crazy!! I am elated when I see their next blog. As soon as it appears, I head right to it, clicking away without a care in the world for my life's real responsibilities. Though sometimes I comment and sometimes I do not, I read every single one of their posts!!!

As time goes by the pain still shows in my eyes,
I search for you, even though you are the one I now despise.
My heart hurts and so often I feel it shed tears,
At moments your presence is so strong, though you can't chase away all my fears.
For now it is you whom from I run.
Our lives together is over and done.
Still I feel things in there place that no one else can see,
It's these feelings that are just so hard on me.
As if you are with me every step of the way,
As I live life you watch me and simply won't go away.
So many questions and I don't understand why,
Praying for answers to come as time goes by.

Do you ever feel this way?

Having divorced or lost someone, but you still feel their presence? Often times, though I removed my wedding ring immediately after splitting up....since love and the marriage was over then, but now I know, it never truly began.....but there are days as I drive off to the city or just plain sitting around, I'll feel that band around my finger.....whenever I reach to touch it....and at the very moment I do, it is gone!!! It's a phantom feeling. You know, just like when someone loses an arm or a leg, there are times when they still feel as though it is there.

Other times, I'm plagued by nightmares, really, of him lying next to me in my bed.....it's supposed to be over, done with and behind me, but certain memories (and they are not good ones) resurface time and time again.

Do you get them, too?

I'd follow you forever, to save you a life of loss and replace it with gain, there's nothing that I wouldn't do, no words I wouldn't refrain.

I'd find you in an instant, if ever you were lost, I'd sacrifice it all for you, whatever be the cost.

I'd take away your hurt and pain, if it meant you would be free, I'd walk around the world twice, if it meant my love you'd finally see.

When you're supposed to be asleep and can't, do you:

1. Toss and turn, hoping to exhaust yourself

2. Read a book until words become blurred and your eyes naturally shut

3. Grab the left over snack you were earlier munching on and eat you need sustenance to sleep

4. Stare out the window in hopes to see a shooting star to make your wish------for sleep

5. Listen to the radio (or favorite music), it eventually lulls you to sleep

6. Watch TV, even the snowy station, until you nod off

7. Lie very still and concentrate on counting sheep, counting confusion always does the trick

8. Call someone and talk until the cell battery goes dead

9. Pray, cuz, so far nothing else has worked

10. Get up to find another place to sleep like the floor, couch, the back seat of your car, or the neighbor's pool chair

Or do you just say forget it, I can't sleep, then preoccupy yourself with household chores or even go back to work knowing you'll sleep when you're really tired??
