People's sense of value and certainly their self-esteem seem universally tied to the "satisfactory accomplishment of something attempted," which is a dictionary definition of "success".

Not only do we want to be successful and recognized as such, but we also attach more credibility to others when we perceive them to be successful.

Success is not only reaching my destination, it is enjoying the journey. The quality, the potential for joy, of the journey is most enhanced by sharing all of life with God.

Success is acquiring God's values as my own.

Success is not just a grand achievement; it is also living day to day by faith.

You pride yourself on being able to multi-task (which, BTW researchers now say, does not make you more efficient, seriously).

So, you are talking to your guy on the phone about a situation he badly handled and hurt you. Now he is experiencing one of those rare male moments and is expressing his feelings for you, and apologizing. Is it appropriate for you to, say, be posting on, and reading blogs while he is talking?

Why or why not?

You know how sensitive women are to anniversary dates etc.

So, now, let's say you are out with a new group of friends, and one of them asks you how long you have been married. You say 5, and your wife says 6. How do you handle that without creating a tense situation?

This is not meant to be a qualifying/disqualifying blog. I want to show you in a humourous way what you can expect this husband to be like.
I have a position open for a special woman who wants to be treated like a queen. No prior experience required. If you do not have the right qualifications, training will be provided.

You will be someone who loves God intensively and exclusively. He will have full access to your life and have preemptive rights. His Love Letter will have the highest priority in your reading schedule.

You will be someone who loves romantic get-aways, handholding, hugs, yes lots of hugs, kissing, and, well, if the rest isn't clear we may not be a match. You will be someone who likes to be flirted with and charmed until you cannot speak coherently. You will be someone who can turn my heart into a puddle with just a glance from across a crowded room. Your smile will give me butterflies.

Motorcycle and horseback rides may be required where you will be responsible for holding the one your with for long periods. If you do not hold on tight enough, I will speed up until you do.!!!!

Love is too strong a word to say it too early, but it has too beautiful a meaning to say it too late.

Love is like salted water; the more you drink the more your thirst increases

Love is when there are a million things you want to say to someone, but when they look you in the eyes and hold you in their arms nothing in life matters other than being with that person at that moment

Please don't take me seriously when I sign off like this. I am my own greatest source of humour (your spell checker doesn't like how I spell humor ...... that's how we spell it in Canada....so deal ).

If I can bring a smile to your face, a chuckle in your heart, a song in your heart, then my day has been made (quote by Clint Eastwood).

I am not spiteful, nor do I desire to hurt or offend anyone. But last time I checked I had not YET (it will probably happen next week on Friday) attained sainthood, so if I do any of these things unintentionally, I ask your forgiveness ahead of time. All I ask is that you hear my heart in my bloggings and postings.

I take my life in God VERY seriously, but I think I am a practical joke God tried to play on me, that backfired.

I am confident enough in who I am in Christ, that I can make fun of myself (that part of me that is human), feel free to join in, I'd love it.

I am looking forward to making many friends here. GBY Gary

.....one of the things we rely on the most, our memory, can be one of the most unreliable aspects of our lives?

I'm thinking of those events that have affected us emotionally. I have memories of my childhood, that I have since discovered are untrue. BUT IT IS SO REAL IN MY MIND HOW COULD IT NOT BE TRUE?

How can two people participate in an event and both remember it differently?
