Trunkless Tree again Oct 29, 2006 8:50 pm

Here is a pic of the trunkless tree taken from the other side. It didn't come out as well with background trees of the same colors, but if you look very closely, you can see this time the tree on the left is the trunkless tree.

A TREE WITH NO TRUNK Oct 28, 2006 10:41 pm

Here is a picture of a local Halloween legend. You see two trees in a cementery, right?

Now look very closely at the tree on the right.
Notice something is missing? That tree is being levitated in mid air.

We locals call it the trunkless tree.
And it is real. The only doctoring I did to the photo was to brighten it, enhance the colors a bit, and sharpen the contrest. All only to see it better since I better not quit my day job because I clearly lack the talent in taking good pictures.

WORLD WIDE WEATHER NET Oct 27, 2006 12:56 am
Mood: 19, 288 Views
Let's try something fun again, that everyone can get in on.

This is a time of year where the weather is changing for pretty much everyone around the globe, so let's hear about your most recent weather event, what's going on now, and what is expected in the near term. Don't forget to say where you are. I'll start it here.

In Eastern Iowa at 2:00 AM of 10-27, the temp is 42 degrees, we have some areas of patchy fog, and drizzle, and other places just overcast.

Yesterday was pretty nice for this time of year, upper 50s, sunny at first, and clouding over during the day.
Today it rained off and on all day, and tomorrow hit and miss rain is supposed to continue until late afternoon, then begin a cooling trend for the next few days, some nights dipping below freezing, but no snow yet. Usually we have our first measurable snow either this week or next, but it doesn't stay.

We are past the peak of follage. Late October is nearly always a time of transition, with a few trees still green, most have turned color and are dropping leaves, and a good number of trees are already bare.
Harvest is underway for the most part, with some corn a couple weeks away from the major harvest.

So now let's hear from you folks.

In response to the post Waking Up to Hillary’s Big-Government Nightmare

Dennis, and those who agree with him:

I wouldn't support Hillary for President either, and am NOT advocating one political as better then another, but you may want to take an honest look at the Republican party you support.
How about making you and Rush Limbaugh work for the minimum wage for six months, and seeing your wages taxed at 1/3 of your gross earnings.
Then come back and tell me how financially healthy American economy is.
Go down to the area of our country we call Dixieland and try find a job that pays $15 per hour.

Please tell me how the vast majority of college students who are the sons and daughters of the already affluent can be called ambitious when it is their parents, not they themselves paying for higher education.

Not to mention how our country came to define success as being a CEO who raises his own salary 800 times over, yet he says the company can't afford a couple dimes per hour pay increase to the workers who make that CEO's job possible.

Did you happen to see 60 Minutes last Sunday night where they interviewed the whistle-blower of the Republican Parties practice of using religious propaganda and promises of legislative morality as a political platform to become elected.
Prior to his 2000 election, our President promised over 6 billion dollars allocated to faith based organizations to help win the war on poverty. To date only about 40 million has been sent to such churches which is less then 1% of what was promised.
But even those few churches who have received the funding is not using it to help the needy, but to advance their own agenda's

Finally tell me why the political party who claims to be the party of morals has been covering the perversions of a homosexual pedophile in Florida who got caught.

Your blind faith to the Republican party is just that. I won't advocate the other parties are any better, and I won't split hairs with you over who really is needy, and who needs to work. The corruption is everywhere.

I don't wish to criticize you for your political beliefs, but take a real honest look at the political party you support. Do they really have America's best interests in mind? or only their pocketbooks.
Are they really wanting to help America's churches fight poverty and spread the gospel, or are they making empty claims.

And why is the bottom line increasing productivity, and decrease expenditures to inflate profits, when it should be seeking first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness.
The so called moral party, the Christian community blindly supports are laughing all the way to the bank at our naive trust in modern day Pharisees.

IT'S LIKE PULLING TEETH Sep 21, 2006 1:57 am

This one is literal. Recently I've been to see my dentist, who tells me I need to have a root canel done. I've never had one myself, and have heard nothing but bad things about them, such as they are very painful, and you still usually lose the tooth anyway.

I would like to know of other's experiences with having root canels done.
My root canel was a Godsend. It saved my tooth and I'm better off for it.
My root canel was very painful, but it did save the tooth and was worth it.
My root canel saved my tooth for a while, but eventually I did lose it anyway.
Root canels don't work. It was painful, expensive, and I still lost the tooth.
I've had more then one root canel. Some worked, and some did not.
You know, I have the very same question.
I never had a root canel, but thought this post was interesting.

Rom 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

Eph 4:8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

SING UNTO THE LORD Sep 15, 2006 12:42 pm
Mood: 56, 349 Views
Psalm 100:1 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.[/I]

The Great Wonder Revelation 12:1-2;

Rev 12:1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
Rev 12:2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered
.

Here is a literal of verse 1 according
to proper Greek and usage.
And there appeared a great sign in the zodiac;
Virgo was endued with the Sun, and the moon was positioned under her feet, and her headship was connected to the twelve constellations of the zodiac.

Actually the moon was above the constellation because if would have been upside down at the time.
The crown of twelve stars refers to Virgo's headship over the other eleven constellations of the zodiac, including itself.
(Witness of the Stars by E.W. Bullinger pages 20-22, and Gospel in the Stars by Seiss page 27)

This scripture used with astronomy, (not astrology) can pinpoint the date and time of the birth of Jesus Christ to with in a 90 minute span of time. Before I give you the date, I will tell you what is NOT the date. It is NOT December 25th, 1 B.C.

This date was established by the Bishops council of Niece France in the 4th century A.D. in order to accommodate the new Christians in Rome who had converted from pagan sun god worship. In the pagan religion the rising of the sun god was celebrated on the heels of the winter solstice to
recognize the rebirth of the sun god each year. The pagan holiday was observed by exchanging presents and decorating fir trees.

So the council declared Dec 25th (just days after the pagan's son god birth) as the date of the birth of the son of God, in order to give the pagan converts a familiar holiday, which carried on the tradition of exchanging gifts and decorating fir trees. This called for a special mass to celebrate the birth of Christ, hence the term Christmas.
That is how it came to be known and accepted as Dec. 25.

I mentioned the science of Astronomy can pinpoint the exact date and time to with in 90 minutes.
The time was between 5:15 PM and 6:45 PM as the sun was setting. Since it was yet daylight people would not have been able to see that the setting Sun was positioned smack dab center in Virgo, but it was there. So Virgo was endued with the Sun.
Now Virgo would have been upside down because it too was setting. Her head was below the horizon by then, and virtually connected to the other 11 constellations of the zodiac.
Just exactly above Virgo's feet, (remember it was upside down) was the setting Moon.
This exact configuration occurred only once in the whole history of mankind.

The date was September 11th 3 B.C.

Does that seem outrageous? Of coarse it does. This date has and will top the attack on Pearl Harbor in our history books for infamy.
I know a lot of you are getting mad and thinking, "There is no way God would let something like this happen on Jesus's birthday."

Why not? Just because you think it's not right doesn't mean it's not right. Remember, our God is one of grace and love. He allowed his son to die to redeem us. That is certainly worse then the attacks which occurred in 2001.

Rom 8:32a He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all,

Think about this from another vantage point. If you were the Devil, and you wanted to screw up Jesus's birthday, what would you do?

Our Lord's evil opposite gave him a gift
Of iniquity, and terror for his 2005th
The whole world watched in horrified awe
To see the free man's glorified tower, twice fall

HEY KRISTINA, I JUST GOT A THIRD MAIL ORDER BRIDE!! Sep 9, 2006 4:06 am

OMG Kristina, I am now even with you, (you did have 3 engineers total didn't you).
Now is this exceeding abundantly above all that I ask or think, or what?

I said I was taking apps for girlfriend, and got three scams for marriage. This one wants to send pics to me at my regular E-mail address if I contact her at hers. I've heard this is quite common on the Adult Friend Finder. You E-mail them and they send you a link for a different site that you have to pay for with promises of pictures I would deem as inapproprete. No thank you. I already have a vivid imagination, and make up non-existant movies. Along with a couple accross the hall that LOUDLY adds to the sound effects.

Here is the letter this one sent without the E-mail info.

Good day,
I've gone through your lovely profile and decided to contact you for something very important to disclose with you,but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site.Kindly get back to me through my private email at

Yeah right. I'm gonna turn this one in for sure.
