FATHER'S LOVE LETTER.....AN INTIMATE MESSAGE FROM GOD TO YOU! Jan 11, 2009 7:00 am

The words you are about to experience are true.
They will change your life if you let them.
For they come from the very heart of God.

HE LOVES YOU.

And He is the Father you have been looking for all your life.

MY CHILD,
You may not know me, but I know everything about you (PSALM 139:1). I know when you sit down and when you rise up (PSALM 139: 2). I am familiar with all your ways (PSALM 139: 3). Even the very hairs on your head are numbered (MATTHEW 10: 29-31). For you were made in my image (GENESIS 1: 27 ). In me you live and move and have your being (ACTS 17: 28 ). For you are my offspring (ACTS 17: 28 ). I knew you even before you were conceived (JEREMIAH 1:4-5). I chose you when I planned creation (EPHESIANS 1:11-12). You were not a mistake, for all your days are written in my book (PSALM 139:15-16). I determined the exact time of your birth and where you would live (ACTS 17:26 ). You are fearfully and wonderfully made (PSALM 139:14). I knit you together in your mother's womb (PSALM 139:13). And brought you forth on the day you were born (PSALM 71: 6). I have been misrepresented by those who don't know me (JOHN 8:41-44). I am not distant and angry, but am the complete expression of love (I JOHN 4:16). And it is my desire to lavish my love on you (I JOHN 3:1). Simply because you are my child and I am your Father (I JOHN 3:1). I offer you more than your earthly father ever could (MATTHEW 7:11). For I am the perfect Father (MATTHEW 5:48 ). Every good gift that you receive comes from my hand (JAMES 1:17 ). For I am your provider and I meet all your needs (MATTHEW 6:31-33). My plan for your future has always been filled with hope (JEREMIAH 29:11). Because I love you with an everlasting love (JEREMIAH 31:3 ). My thoughts toward you are countless as the sand on the seashore (PSALM 139:17-18 ). And I rejoice over you with singing (ZEPHANIAH 3:17 ). I will never stop doing good to you (JEREMIAH 32:40 ). For you are my treasured possession (EXODUS 19:5 ). I desire to establish you with all my heart and all my soul (JEREMIAH 32:41) And I want to show you great and marvelous things (JEREMIAH 33:3 ). If you seek me with all your heart, you will find me. (DEUTERONOMY 4:29 ). Delight in me and I will give you the desires of your heart (PSALM 37:4). Fot it is I who gave you those desires (Philippians 2:13). I am able to do more for you than you could possibly imagine (EPHESIANS 3:20 ). For I am your greatest encourager (2 THESSALONIANS 2:16-17 ). I am also the Father who comforts you in all your troubles (2 CORINTHIANS 1:3-4). When you are broken hearted, I am close to you (PSALM 34:18 ). As a shepherd carries a lamb, I have carried you close to my heart (ISAIAH 40:11). One day I will wipe away every tear from your eyes (REVELATION 21:3-4). And I'll take away all the pain you have suffered on this earth (REVELATION 21:3-4). Iam your Father and I love you even as I love my son, Jesus (JOHN 17:23). For in Jesus, my love for you is revealed (JOHN 17:26). He is the exact representation of my being (HEBREWS 1:3 ). He came to demonstrate that I am for you, not against you (ROMANS 8:31). And to tell you that I am not counting your sins (2 CORINTHIANS 5:18-19). Jesus died so that you and I could be reconciled (2 CORINTHIANS 5:18-19 ). His death was the ultimate expression of my love for you (I JOHN 4:10 ). I gave up everything I loved that I might gain your love (ROMANS 8:31-32). If you receive the gift of my son Jesus, you receive me (I JOHN 2:23). And nothing will ever separate you from my love again (ROMANS 8:38-39). Come home and I'll throw the biggest party heaven has ever seen (LUKE 15: 7 ). I have always been Father and will always be Father (EPHESIANS 3:14-15 ). My question is...WILL YOU BE MY CHILD? (JOHN 1:12-13). I am waiting for you (LUKE 15:11-32).

LOVE, YOUR DAD.
ALMIGHTY GOD

WOULD YOU LIKE TO COME HOME?
All you need to do is simply BELIEVE THAT JESUS DIED IN YOUR PLACE TO MAKE A WAY FOR YOU TO BE BORN INTO HIS FAMILY. The following words might help you express your thoughts to God.

FATHER, I WANT TO COME HOME. PLEASE MAKE ME YOUR CHILD. I TURN FROM MY SIN AND ACCEPT YOUR FORGIVENESS MADE POSSIBLE THROUGH YOUR SON, JESUS CHRIST'S DEATH AND RESURRECTION. I PLACE MY FAITH AND TRUST IN JESUS ALONE TO SAVE ME. THANK YOU FOR MAKING ME PART OF YOUR FAMILY.

PRAISE REPORT! ALL GLORY TO JESUS! Jan 10, 2009 1:51 pm

Hi Everyone!
I just want to thank the Lord for giving my sister and I the opportunity to start a ladies Bible study last night. After much prayers and waiting, the Lord opened the door for us to start one. There were 5 ladies who attended. It was so good to share God's Word once again. This is truly a blessing for me. I have not had a chance to lead a Bible study in years. God had trained me in this area of ministry years ago and I'm just so grateful to the Lord for the opportunity to use my training and serve Him. We'll meet every Friday at my sister's house. Please pray that the Lord will use this Bible study to reach out to these women that they may come to the saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Most of them are not Christians.

Missed all of you,

MY PRAYER FOR ALL OF YOU TODAY... Jan 1, 2009 11:06 pm

[O GOD, OUR FATHER, DELIVER US THIS DAY
FROM ALL THAT WOULD KEEP US FROM SERVING THEE
AND FROM SERVING OUR FELLOWMEN AS WE OUGHT.

DELIVER US FROM ALL COLDNESS OF HEART;
AND GRANT THAT NEITHER OUR HAND NOR OUR HEART
MAY EVER REMAIN SHUT TO THE APPEAL OF SOMEONE'S NEED.

DELIVER US FROM ALL WEAKNESS OF WILL;
FROM THE INDECISION WHICH CANNOT MAKE UP ITS MIND;
FROM THE INABILITY TO SAY NO
TO THE TEMPTING VOICES WHICH COME TO US
FROM INSIDE AND FROM OUTSIDE.

DELIVER US FROM ALL FAILURE IN ENDEAVOR;
FROM BEING TOO EASILY DISCOURAGED;
FROM GIVING UP AND GIVING IN TOO SOON;
FROM ALLOWING ANY TASK TO DEFEAT US,
BECAUSE IT IS TOO DIFFICULT.

GRANT UNTO US THIS DAY
THE LOVE WHICH IS GENEROUS IN HELP;
THE DETERMINATION WHICH IS STEADFAST IN DECISION;
THE PERSEVERANCE WHICH IS ENDURING UNTO THE END;
THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD.

THE THRESHOLD OF THE UNKNOWN... Jan 1, 2009 10:45 pm

by L.B. Cowman

"THE LAND YOU ARE...TO TAKE POSSESSION OF IS A LAND OF MOUNTAINS AND VALLEYS THAT DRINKS RAIN FROM HEAVEN. IT IS A LAND THE LORD YOUR GOD CARES FOR, THE EYES OF THE LORD YOUR GOD ARE CONTINUALLY ON IT FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR TO ITS END."
(Deuteronomy 11:11-12)

Today we stand at the threshold of the unknown. Before us lies a new year, and we are going forward to take possession of it. Who knows what we will find? What new experiences or changes will come our way? What new needs will arise? In spite of the uncertainty before us, we have a cheerful and comforting message from our heavenly Father: "THE LORD YOUR GOD CARES FOR [IT]; THE EYES OF THE LORD...ARE CONTINUALLY ON IT FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR TO ITS END."

The Lord is to be our SOURCE OF SUPPLY. In HIMSPRINGS, FOUNTAINS, AND STREAMS THAT WILL NEVER BE CUT OFF OR RUN DRY. To those who are anxious comes the gracious promise of our heavenly Father. If He is the Source of our mercies, mercy will never fail us. No heat or drought can dry the "RIVER WHOSE STREAMS MAKE GLAD THE CITY OF GOD." (Psalm 46:4 ).

Yet the land we are to possess is a land of valleys and hills. It is not all flat or downhill. If life were always smooth and level, the boring sameness would weigh us down. We need the valleys AND the hills. The hills collect the rain for hundreds of fruitful valleys. And so it is with us! IT IS THE DIFFICULTY ENCOUNTERED ON THE HILLS THAT DRIVES US TO THE THRONE OF GRACE AND BRINGS THE SHOWERS OF BLESSING. Yes, it is the hills, the cold and seemingly barren hills of life that we question and complain about, that bring down the showers. How many people have perished in the wilderness valley, buried under its golden sand, who would have thrived in the hills? And how many would have been killed by the cold, destroyed or swept desolate of their fruitfulness by the wind, if not for the hills ~ stern, rugged, and so steep to climb? GOD'S HILLS ARE A GRACIOUS PROTECTION FOR HIS PEOPLE AGAINST THEIR FOES!

We cannot see what loss, sorrow, and trials are accomplishing. WE NEED ONLY TO TRUST. The Father comes near to take our hand and lead us on our way today. It will be a good and blessed New year!

HE LEADS US ON BY PATHS WE DID NOT KNOW;
UPWARD HE LEADS US, THOUGH OUR STEPS BE SLOW,
THOUGH OFT WE FAINT AND FALTER ON THE WAY,
THOUGH STORMS AND DARKNESS OFT OBSCURE THE DAY;
YET WHEN THE CLOUDS ARE GONE,
WE KNOW HE LEADS US ON.

HE LEADS US ON THROUGH ALL THE UNQUIET YEARS;
PAST ALL OUR DREAMLAND HOPES, AND DOUBTS AND FEARS,
HE GUIDES OUR STEPS, THROUGH ALL THE TANGLED MAZE
OF LOSSES, SORROWS, AND O'ER CLOUDED DAYS;
WE KNOW HIS WILL IS DONE;
AND STILL HE LEADS US ON.

THE BIBLE ~ GOD'S VOICE TODAY! Jan 1, 2009 10:14 am

By Dr. Charles Stanley

"ALL SCRIPTURE IS GOD ~ BREATHED AND IS USEFUL FOR TEACHING, REBUKING, CORRECTING AND TRAINING IN RIGHTEOUSNESS, SO THAT THE MAN OF GOD MAY BE THOROUGHLY EQUIPPED FOR EVERY GOOD WORK."
(II Timothy 3:16 )

In biblical times, God spoke in many dramatic ways. Although He still speaks today, His methods have changed. Therefore, we can’t expect Him to speak in an audible voice or send an angelic messenger every time He has something to say. We must learn how to perceive His voice today.

Today our Father speaks to us primarily through His written Word and we have His complete revelation within this Book. There is not a single thing missing that He needs to add. Why? Because He has already revealed His Word perfectly to those whom He inspired to write it down. This is not a book written by human beings; the Holy Spirit of God literally breathed His truth upon the minds of certain men so that they could record it (2 Tim. 3:16 ).

The Bible is God’s way of speaking to our pressing needs, concerns, heartaches, and worries. So often when trouble strikes, we turn here or there, talking to some friend or counselor. All of that is well and good, and the Father does indeed speak through godly men and women. But the first place we should turn is to His Word.

The Lord has given us this Book so that we might know His mind in which requires consistently spending time in the Word. If you pick up the Bible only when you have a question or emergency, then you’ll never get the big picture of what God wants to say.

Scripture is a treasure trove of God’s thoughts. Spend time there every day, starting today, mining it for new truths and insights.

MEMORIZING VERSES... Jan 1, 2009 9:53 am
448 Views
When I was in Bible College, Evangelism class was a requirement before we can take up any of our major subjects.

In that class however, we were required to memorize verses by topics...ouch! Evey week, our professor would give us a quiz on that verse and would even ask each one of us to memorize it in front of the class. I hated to do it then because I did not like standing in front of so many people.

Our final exam was graded on how we witness to people based on these verses we learned and memorized, and how to follow-up a person who had just accepted the Lord Jesus Christ, written word for word on our test paper.

As time went by and these verses were applied to daily living, the impact of memorizing them became a habit and an exciting goal to achieve. The Lord used these verses to help me grow in my Christian life, and gave me the boldness to witness and share God's Word to those people I come in contact with.

When the semester was over, I learned to memorize the required 60 verses plus some of the ones I have learned from my quiet time and added them to each topic. It was exciting!

I've learned so much by memorizing Scriptures. The Lord seems to bring up a verse at the right time I'm needing it.

So, what am I saying...?

I would like to post all the 60 topical verses that I learned and challenge you to give it a try!

Last year, our pastor challenged us to memorize these verses, using the topical memory system by the Navigators. It was so refreshing and so exciting to quote these verses from memory again, as I've already memorized them in the past.

Once again, I couldn't emphasized enough the importance of memorizing Scriptures. You'll be amazed of the results! It will truly change your eternal perspective! Will you take the challenge???

You can also buy it at the Christian Bookstore. You can use the translation you are most comfortable with. I will be posting the verses on a certain topic once a week.

Here are your two verses to memorize!

Are you Ready?

TOPICAL MEMORY SYSTEM

A. LIVE THE NEW LIFE

CHRIST THE CENTER

11 Corinthians 5:17- Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. (NASB )

Galatians 2:20- I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

ENJOY and let me know what you think!

A PERSON OF COURAGE... EXCELLENT POINTS TO PONDER! Jan 1, 2009 7:47 am
423 Views
By Dr. John Maxwell

"When I began my career I was very ineffective as a leader. My problem was that I wanted to please everybody. Making people happy was the most important thing to me. I lacked the courage to make right but unpopular decisions. How did I turn things around? By making small decisons that were difficult. With each one I gained more CONFIDENCE and more COURAGE, and I BEGAN TO CHANGE. The process took me 4 years. At the end of that time I felt I had learned many valuable lessons, and I wrote the following to help me cement what I had learned:

COURAGEOUS LEADERSHIP SIMPLY MEANS I'VE DEVELOPED:

(1) CONVICTIONS THAT ARE STRONGER THAN MY FEARS.

(2) VISION THAT IS CLEARER THAN MY DOUBTS.

(3) SPIRITUAL SENSITIVITY THAT IS LOUDER THAN POPULAR OPINION.

(4) SELF-ESTEEM THAT IS DEEPER THAN SELF-PROTECTION

(5) APPRECIATION FOR DISCIPLINE THAT IS GREATER THAN MY DESIRE FOR LEISURE.

(6) DISSATISFACTION THAT IS MORE FORCEFUL THAN THE STATUS QUO.

(7) POISE THAT IS MORE UNSHAKEABLE THAN PANIC.

( RISK-TAKING THAT IS STRONGER THAN SAFETY-KEEPING.

(9) ACTIONS THAT ARE MORE ROBUST THAN RATIONALIZATION.

(10) A DESIRE TO SEE POTENTIAL REACHED MORE TNAN TO SEE PEOPLE PLEASED."

If peoplee-pleasing is your problem, you might want to go back and re-read those 10 things. You don't have to be great to become a person of courage. You just have to want to fulfill God's purpose for your life ~ and be willing to trade what seems good in the moment for what's best for your future! And that's something you can do this year, regardleess of your level of natural talent.

FACING THE NEW YEAR WITH COURAGE! Jan 1, 2009 7:27 am
483 Views
"BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS. DO NOT BE AFRAID OR TERRIFIED BECAUSE OF THEM, FOR THE LORD YOUR GOD GOES WITH YOU; HE WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU." (Deuteronomy 31: 6 NIV)

ALL of us are affected with the global economic crisis in one way or another. What used to be stable and secured, are crumbling before our vey own eyes and we wonder how in the world are we going to make it this year! We are stepping into unknown territory! We don't know what lies ahead and the danger we'll face daily. What are you going to do?

The Bible commanded us "TO BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS!" The word "BE" really means "BECOME." Courage is the quality you grow into, like filling bigger shoes. The more you walk in them the more comfortable they get. COURAGE COMES FROM SPENDING TIME WITH GOD. SEEING HIS ARMS OUTSTRETCHED TOWARD YOU AND HEARING HIM SAY, "COME ON, YOU CAN DO IT, I'M WITH YOU!"

WITHOUT COURAGE YOU'RE NOT LIVING, but HIDING! COURAGE IS WHAT MOVES YOU FORWARD, IT'S THE MUSCCLE THAT MAKES YOUR FAITH WORK. Faith by itself can be nothing more than a set of beliefs. COURAGE IS WHAT ACTIVATES YOUR BELIEFS. Every Promised Land has 'GIANT' problems, and you have to FACE them and DEFEAT them before moving in and taking up residence.

Notice 3 things in Deuteronomy, Chapter 7, that God said to Israel about taking the Promised Land:

(1) "YOUR GOD, WHO IS AMONG YOU, IS A GREAT AND AWESOME GOD." (v.21) Be assured, God is greater than anything you'll face this year!

(2) "WILL DRIVE OUT THOSE NATIONS BEFORE YOU." (v.22)
God will go ahead of you. He will do for you what you cannot do for yourself, but you've got to show up for the fight.

(3) "LITTLE BY LITTLE" (v.22)
Whether it's conquering your Promised Land or your character flaws, you can't do it all at once. So God works with you in one area after another. Life is not one big battle and then you march in the victory parade. No, it's a SERIES OF SMALL, DAILY STRUGGLES REQUIRED TO DEFEAT THE ENEMIES OF YOUR SPIRITUAL GROWTH.

Twenty-three chapters later God is STILL telling Israel TO BE COURAGEOUS. That's because COURAGE IS LIKE OXYGEN, YOU CAN'T SURVIVE WITHOUT IT. COURAGE IS NOT THE ABSENCE OF FEAR, IT'S THE CONQUEST OF IT. COURAGE MEANS DOING IT AFRAID ~ UNTIL YOU'RE NO LONGER AFRAID. IT MEANS ~ TREMBLING YOUR WAY TO CONFIDENCE! God promised to go WITH them and BEFORE them. WHO DOES GOD WALK WITH AND WORK WITH? WHO DOES HE GO AHEAD OF AND FIGHT FOR? THOSE WHO SHOW COURAGE!

On New Year's Eve the late King George read these wonderful words to the British people: "I SAID TO THE MAN WHO STOOD AT THE GATE OF THE YEAR, 'GIVE ME A LIGHT THAT I MAY TREAD SAFELY INTO THE UNKNOWN' AND HE REPLIED, 'GO OUT INTO THE DARKNESS AND PUT YOUR HAND INTO THE HAND OF GOD. THAT SHALL BE TO YOU BETTER THAN LIGHT AND SAFER THAN A KNOWN WAY!"
