The Best Day of My Life
Today, when I awoke, I suddenly realized that this is the best day of my life. There were times when I wondered if I would make it to today; but I did! And because I did I'm going to celebrate!
Today, I'm going to celebrate what an unbelievable life I have had so far: the accomplishments, the many blessings, and, yes, even the hardships, the trials and the tribulations because they have served to make me stronger. I will go through this day with my head held high and a happy heart. I will marvel at God's seemingly simple gifts: the morning dew, the sun, the clouds, the trees, the flowers, the birds. Today, none of these miraculous creations will escape my notice.
Today, I will share my excitement for life with other people. I'll make someone smile. I'll go out of my way to perform an unexpected act of kindness for someone I don't even know.
Today, I'll give a sincere compliment to someone who seems down. I'll tell a child how special he is and I'll tell someone I love just how deeply I care for them and how much he or she means to me.
Today is the day I quit worrying about what I don't have and start being grateful for all the wonderful things God has already given me. I'll remember that to worry is just a waste of time because my faith in God and his Divine Plan ensures everything will be just fine.
And tonight, before I go to bed, I'll go outside and raise my eyes to the heavens. I will stand in awe at the beauty of the stars and the moon and I will praise God for these magnificent treasures.
As the day ends and I lay my head down on my pillow, I will thank the Almighty for the best day of my life. And I will sleep the sleep of a contented child, excited with expectation because I know tomorrow is going to be the best day of my life.

Still He Walked

He could hear the crowds screaming "crucify" "crucify"... He could hear the hatred in their voices, These were his chosen people. He loved them, And they were going to crucify him. He was beaten, bleeding and weakened... His heart was broken, But still He walked.
He could see the crowd as he came from the palace. He knew each of the faces so well. He had created them. He knew every smile, every laugh, and every shed tear, But now they were contorted with rage and anger His heart broke, But still He walked.
Was he scared? You and I would have been So his humanness would have mandated that he was. He felt alone. His disciples had left, denied, and even betrayed him. He searched the crowd for a loving face and he saw very few. Then he turned his eyes to the only one that mattered And he knew that he would never be alone. He looked back at the crowd... At the people who were spitting at him Throwing rocks at him and mocking him And he knew that because of him, They would never be alone. So for them, He walked.
The sounds of the hammer striking the spikes echoed through the crowd. The sounds of his cries echoed even louder, The cheers of the crowd, as his hands and feet were nailed to the cross, Intensified with each blow. Loudest of all was the still small voice Inside his Heart that whispered "I am with you, my son", And God's heart broke. He had let his son walk.
Jesus could have asked God to end his suffering, But instead he asked God to forgive. Not to forgive him, but to forgive the ones who were persecuting him. As he hung on that cross, dying an unimaginable death, He looked out and saw, not only the faces in the crowd, But also, the face of every person yet to be, And his heart filled with love. As his body was dying, his heart was alive. Alive with the limitless, unconditional love he feels for each of us. That is why He walked.
When I forget how much My God loves me, ...I remember his walk. When I wonder if I can be forgiven, ...I remember his walk. When I need reminded of how to live like Christ, ...I think of his walk. And to show him how much I love him, ...I wake up each morning, turn my eyes to him, ......And I walk.

May your day be great and surrounded in love, and may you always remember to write in the sand.
A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert. Along the journey, they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without anything to say, he wrote in the sand: "Today my best friend slapped me in the face."
They kept on walking, until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who got slapped and hurt started drowning, and the other friend saved him. When he recovered from the fright, he wrote on a stone: "Today my best friend saved my life".
The friend who saved and slapped his best friend, asked him, "Why, after I hurt you, you wrote in the sand, and now you write on a stone?"
The other friend smiled and replied,"When a friend hurts us, we should write it down in the sand, where the winds of forgiveness are in charge of erasing it away; when something great happens, we should engrave it in the stone of the memory of the heart, where no wind can ever erase it."
Learn to write in the sand.

What If?
God couldn't take the time to Bless us today because we could not take the time to thank Him yesterday
What If?
God decided to stop leading us tomorrow Because we didn't follow Him today
What If?
God didn't walk with us today because we failed to recognize it as His day
What If?
We never saw another flower bloom because we grumbled when God sent the rain
What If:
God stopped loving and caring for us because we failed to love and care for others
What If?
God took away the Bible tomorrow, because we would not read it today
What If?
God took away his message because we failed to listen to His messenger
What If?
God didn't send His only begotten Son because He wanted us to be prepared to pay the price of sin
What If?
The door to the church was closed because we did not open the door of our heart
What If?
God would not hear us today because we would not listen to Him yesterday
What If?
God answered our prayers the way we answer His call to service
What If?
God met our needs the way we give Him our lives
What If?

There was a school with a class of students no teacher had been able to handle. Two or three teachers had been run off from this school in one year by the unruly students. A young man, just out of college, heard about the class and he applied to the school.
The principal asked the young man, "Do you not know what you are asking for? No one has been able to handle these students. You are just asking for a terrible beating."
After a few moments of silent prayer, the young man looked at the principal and said, "Sir, with your consent I accept the challenge. Just give me a trial basis."
The next morning the young man stood before the class. He said to the class, "Young people, I came here today to conduct school. But I realize I can't do it by myself. I must have your help." One big boy, they called Big Tom, in the back of the room whispered to his buddies, "I'll not need any help. I can lick that little bird all by myself."
The young teacher told the class that if they were to have school, there will have to be some rules to go by. But he also added that he will allow the students to make up the rules, that he would list them on the blackboard. This was certainly different, the students thought!
One young man suggested "NO STEALING." Another one shouted "BE ON TIME FOR CLASS." Pretty soon they had 10 rules listed on the board.
The teacher had then asked the class what the punishment should be for breaking these rules. "Rules are no good unless they are enforced," he said.
Someone in the class suggested that if the rules were broken, they should receive 10 licks with a rod across their back with their coat off. The teacher thought that was pretty harsh, so he asked the class if they would stand by this punishment. The class agreed.
Everything went pretty good for two or three days. Then Big Tom came in one day very upset. He declared that someone had stolen his lunch. After talking with the students, they came to the conclusion that little Timmy had stolen Big Tom's lunch. Someone had seen little Timmy with Big Tom's lunch!
The teacher called little Timmy up to the front of the room. Little Timmy admitted he had taken Big Tom's lunch. So the teacher asked him, "Do you know the punishment? Little Timmy nodded that he did.
"You must remove your coat, then," the teacher instructed. The little fellow had come with a great big coat on.
Little Timmy said to the teacher, "I am guilty and I am willing to take my punishment, but please don't make me take off my coat."
The teacher reminded little Timmy of the rules and punishments and again told him he must remove his coat and take his punishment like a man. The little fellow started to unbutton that old coat. As he did so, the teacher saw he did not have a shirt on under the coat. And even worse, he saw a frail and bony frame hidden beneath that coat. The teacher asked little Timmy why he had come to school without a shirt on.
Little Timmy replied, "My daddy's dead and my Mother is very poor. I don't have but one shirt, and my mother is washing it today. I wore big brother's coat so' to keep warm."
That young teacher stood and looked at the frail back the ribs sticking out, the spine protruding against the skin. He wondered how he could lay a rod on that little back and without even a shirt on. Still, he knew he must enforce the punishment or the children would not obey the rules. So he drew back to strike little Timmy. Just then Big Tom stood up and came down the aisle.
He asked, "Is there anything that says I can't take little Timmy's whipping for him?"
The teacher thought about it and agreed. With that Big Tom ripped his coat off and stooped and stood over little Timmy at the desk. Hesitatingly the teacher began to lay the rod on that big back. But for some strange reason, after only five licks that old rod just broke in half. The young teacher buried his face in his hands and began to sob.
He heard a commotion and looked up to find not even one dry eye in the room. Little Timmy had turned and grabbed Big Tom around the neck, apologizing to him for stealing his lunch, begging his forgiveness. Little Timmy begged Big Tom to forgive him. He told Big Tom that he would love him till the day he died for taking his whipping for him.
******************* Aren't you glad that Jesus took our whipping for us, that He shed His precious blood on Calvary so that you and I can have eternal life in Glory with Him? We are unworthy of the price He paid for us, but aren't you glad He loves us that much? God bless you and keep you safe. Most people's troubles come from too much time on their hands and not enough on their knees PRAISE GOD!

The Road of Life

At first I saw God as my observer, my judge, keeping track of the things I did wrong, so as to know whether I merited heaven or hell when I die, He was our there sort of like a president. I recognized His picture but I didn't really know him.
But later on, when I met Christ it seemed as though life were rather like a bike ride. But it was a tandem bike, and I noticed that Christ was in the back helping me pedal.
I don't know just when it was that He suggested we change places, but life has not been the same since.
When I had control, I knew the way it was rather boring and predictable. It was the shortest distance between two points.
But when He took the lead, He knew delightful long cuts up mountains and through rocky places at break-neck speeds, it was all I could do to hang on! Even though it looked like madness, He said, "Pedal!"
I worried and was anxious and asked, "Where are you taking me?" He laughed and didn't answer, and I started to learn to trust.
I forgot my boring life and entered into the adventure. And when I'd say, “I’m scared!" He'd lean back and touch my hand.
He took me to people with gifts that I needed, gifts of healing, acceptance, and joy. They gave me gifts to take on my journey, my Lord's and mine.
And we were off again. He said, "Give the gifts away; they're extra baggage, too much weight." So I did to the people we met, and I found that in giving I received, and still our burden was light.
I did not trust Him, at first, in control of my life, I thought He'd wreck it; but he knows bike secrets, knows how to make it bend to make sharp corners, knows how to jump to clear high rocks, knows how to fly to shorten scary passages.
And I am learning to shut up and pedal in the strangest places, and beginning to enjoy the view, and the cool breeze on my face, with my delightful constant companion, JESUS CHRIST.
And when I'm sure I just can't do anymore, He just smiles and says ... "Pedal."
“And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.” –Hebrews 2:13

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. –Acts 2:38
Have you ever asked yourself what is God's greatest asset in His Kingdom?
It is not the creatures of the air or those underneath the water, not even what crawls, jumps, runs on the earth.
The answer lies within you and me, because we are His greatest asset in His Kingdom. No wonder God sent His very own into the world for you and me, so that through Him we may be glorified. We have been crowned with His Glory and Honor. God is very caring and mindful of us.
He has given us the responsibility to rule over the works of His hands. This shows us how much valued we are before God.
A - vail yourself to people
S - trengthen people (give them hope)
S - ensitive to people's needs
E - ncourage people
T - hank & appreciate people
Now that you know you are God's greatest asset, are you an asset to other people as well?
Then are you assured of His Kingdom?
Remember that above all God loves you most because you are the best in His eyes.

I humbly come to you my old friends and my new friends. I am about to embark on yet another journey in my life. There have been many trials and tribulations in my life as I know there has been in yours. I am in my last month of being overseas at the military base that I am stationed at. I first came to England in 1999, first time out of the continental 48 states, married, and full of hopes and dreams of starting another journey in our life together, now a little over six years later, I come back home, divorced and a little depressed and a beaten man. I am depressed because I feel that I have failed God once again. God wants one woman and one man to be united as one and to live and serve him until death do you part. I never wanted a divorce but I have learned that it takes two to get married but only one to get a divorce. According to the Word of God I have cause to divorce her. I have accepted the divorce and decided to move on but what pains me is that while we were over here we brought another life into the picture and that is my beautiful daughter Katy. What a joy she is in my life and as young as she is I already owe a lot to her. I have hung around over here as long as I have because of my love for my daughter Katy. When I leave here at the end of October, it will probably be for a long time before I see her again and it is with a heavy heart that I am coming back to Florida, however I have to take into consideration the lives of my grandchildren, but that is another story by itself. I have never been away from my daughter, Katy for any extended period of time such as this and I treasure the time that I spend with all of my children. I come back to Florida with the faith that our God will provide all of our needs. I come back to Florida with no job, no car, just the clothes that we will be bringing back with us in suitcases. However I have the faith to know that my God will supply my needs, according to His riches and glory. There will be a car waiting for me in Florida, there will be a job waiting for me in Florida, there will be childcare waiting for me in Florida, in Jesus name. Please pray and agree with me my brothers and sisters. Thank you for listening and for your prayers.
