My Little Bit of Heaven

Most of you are going through the same or similar trials and tribulations as I am though your stories may be a little different we are all still in the same boat. My prayer is that my little bit of heaven will make your little bit of heaven just a little bit better. May the Lord richly bless you all, cheers.

Well the Lord gives us all a very special day, the day that you are born and today happens to be mine. A lot of you have already emailed one way or the other to send your wishes and I appreciate it very much.
I wish I could answer each one personally but as you may or may not know I am only a standard member so for those of you that can relate, I can only send out a limited number of emails a day, hahahahaha.
Anyway I thank the Lord for another year, to chat with, pray with, minister to, and offer any wisdom I have accumalated over the years, hahaha. My prayer for each and every one of you is that:

May the Lord bless you and keep you, may the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you, May the Lord lift His countenance upon you and give you much, much peace, in Jesus name we pray and all God's people said Amen

Who Me? Jan 25, 2006 11:54 pm

An honest man was being tailgated by a stressed out woman on a busy boulevard. Suddenly, the light turned yellow, just in front of him. He did the right thing, stopping at the crosswalk, even though he could have beaten the red light by accelerating through the intersection.

The tailgating woman hit the roof, and the horn, screaming in frustration as she missed her chance to get through the intersection. As she was still in mid-rant, she heard a tap on her window and looked up into the face of a very serious police officer. The officer ordered her to exit her car with her hands up. He took her to the police station where she was searched, finger printed, photographed, and placed in a holding cell.

After a couple of hours, a policeman approached the cell and opened the door. She was escorted back to the booking desk where the arresting officer was waiting with her personal effects.

He said, "I'm very sorry for this mistake. You see, I pulled up behind your car while you were blowing your horn, flipping off the guy in front of you, and cussing a blue streak at him.

I noticed the 'Choose Life' license plate holder, the 'What Would Jesus Do?' bumper sticker, the 'Follow Me to Sunday-School' bumper sticker, and the chrome-plated Christian fish emblem on the trunk.

Naturally, I assumed you had stolen the car."

The Big Rocks Of Life Jan 25, 2006 8:29 pm

A while back I was reading about an expert on subject of time management. One day this expert was speaking to a group of business students and, to drive home a point, used an illustration I'm sure those students will never forget.

As this man stood in front of the group of high-powered overachievers he said, "Okay, time for a quiz." Then he pulled out a one-gallon, wide-mouthed mason jar and set it on a table in front of him. Then he produced about a dozen fist-sized rocks and carefully placed them, one at a time, into the jar. When the jar was filled to the top and no more rocks would fit inside, he asked, "Is this jar full?"

Everyone in the class said, "Yes."

Then he said, "Really?" He reached under the table and pulled out a bucket of gravel. Then he dumped some gravel in and shook the jar causing pieces of gravel to work themselves down into the spaces between the big rocks. Then he smiled and asked the group once more, "Is the jar full?"

By this time the class was onto him. "Probably not," one of them answered. "Good!" he replied. And he reached under the table and brought out a bucket of sand. He started dumping the sand in and it went into all the spaces left between the rocks and the gravel. Once more he asked the question, "Is this jar full?"

"No!" the class shouted. Once again he said, "Good!" Then he grabbed a pitcher of water and began to pour it in until the jar was filled to the brim. Then he looked up at the class and asked, "What is the point of this illustration?"

One eager beaver raised his hand and said, "The point is, no matter how full your schedule is, if you try really hard, you can always fit some more things into it!"

"No," the speaker replied, "that's not the point. The truth this illustration teaches us is: If you don't put the big rocks in first, you'll never get them in at all."

The title of this letter is The "Big Rocks" of Life. What are the big rocks in your life? A project that YOU want to accomplish? Time with your loved ones? Your faith, your education, your finances? A cause? Teaching or mentoring others? Remember to put these BIG ROCKS in first or you'll never get them in at all. So when you reflect on this short story, ask yourself this question: What are the "big rocks" in my life or business?

Then put those in your jar FIRST from now on.

Why Tell A Lie? Jan 25, 2006 5:46 pm

Why do we lie? It is almost like second nature to some of us. Think of some of the reasons you lie? Your age, your resume, your education, your marital status, whatever the case may be? Some of us do the little what is called a white lie, we tell a story so as not to hurt others feelings.
The funny thing or maybe not so funny thing that I have learn about liars is that they hate to be lied to but on the other hand they have no problem lying to others.
We have no problem telling a lie if it will further us in our job, in our relationships, whatever the case may be.
Some of us have lied so much and so often that it becomes a part of us. We can't tell from one lie to the other anymore. We have told so many lies that we forget which lie we said to whom.
I will let you in on a little secret. Lying is a sin and God hates it. Just as with everything else in your life God allows you to choose what you want to do. God will also allow you a way out but you have to choose to follow it.
So the next time you are about to stretch the truth a little bit, just think first as to whether you want to glorify God or if you want to make satan happy.

Learn To Trust In The Lord Jan 25, 2006 11:41 am

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
And the road you're trudging seems all up hill,
When funds are low and debts are high,
And you have to smile, but you want to cry,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if your must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out.
Don't give up though the pace seems slow,
You may succeed with another blow,
Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,
It's when things seem worst that you mustn't quit.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6, NIV).

Stepping Stones Jan 24, 2006 5:56 pm

The Lord came to me like a dream one day and asked, "why do you sorrow?" I answered, "Lord my life is so full of pain, I can't face one more tomorrow."

The Lord sat down beside me, and gently took my hand. He said, "Let me explain to you and then you'll understand.

Each sorrow is a stepping stone you must surmount each day, And every stepping stone you climb is a sorrow that's passed away.

The road of life is a mountainside, with crevices in which to be caught, but as you struggle on your way, I the Rock, will lend support.

Every stepping stone you climb, makes spirit and heart grow strong. Exercising character and faith
this road seems painful and long.

The way is paved with stepping stones, to uplift your heart and soul, though difficult they aid your way, to a City paved with gold.

I know that you are tired, for I too have walked this way, My sorrows did they multiply, but I cleared many stones away.

I left my rock to lift you up, I left behind my story. To give you strength to make your climb,
to that special place in glory.

And never fear, the Rock is here, You'll never climb this mountain alone surmount life's sorrows, continue on, for they are but stepping stones.

How Gullible Are We Jan 24, 2006 2:23 pm

A freshman at Eagle Rock Junior High won
first prize at the Greater Idaho Falls Science
Fair on January 26. He was attempting to show
how conditioned we have become to the
alarmists practicing junk science and spreading
fear of everything in our environment.

In his project he urged people to sign a petition
demanding strict control or total elimination of
the chemical "dihydrogen monoxide." And for
plenty of good reasons, since it can:

1. cause excessive sweating and vomiting
2. it is a major component in acid rain
3. it can cause severe burns in its gaseous state
4. accidental inhalation can kill you
5. it contributes to erosion
6. it decreases effectiveness of automobile brakes
7. it has been found in tumors of terminal cancer
patients

He asked 150 people if they supported a ban of
the chemical.

One hundred forty-three said yes, six were undecided, and only one knew that the chemical was , , , ,

Water!

The title of his prize winning project was,
"How Gullible Are We?"

Well the conclusion is obvious.

Let it go for 2006..
By T. D. Jakes

I get a lot of emails from all around the world telling me of different problems and situations and what would I do or suggest. My first suggestion is always open up the Word of God and see what God says about the situation that you are in. Next I can only give my opinion and how I dealt with the trial and tribulation when it was placed in my life. Anyway below is a message given by T.D. Jakes, a great preacher of the word of God, it will explain and tell you alot better then I can. God bless you all.

There are people who can walk away from you. And hear me when I tell you this! When people can walk away from you: let them walk. I don't want you to try to talk another person into staying with you, loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming to see you, staying attached to you. I mean hang up the phone.

When people can walk away from you let them walk.
Your destiny is never tied to anybody that left.

The Bible said that, They came out from us
that it might be made manifest that they were not for us. For had they been of us, no doubt they would have continued with us. [1 John 2:19]

People leave you because they are not joined to you. And if they are not joined to you, you can't make them stay.

Let them go.

And it doesn't mean that they are a bad person it just means that their part in the story is over. And you've got to know when people's part in your story is over so that you don't keep trying to raise the dead.

You've got to know when it's dead.

You've got to know when it's over. Let me tell you
something. I've got the gift of good-bye. It's the tenth spiritual gift, I believe in good-bye. It's not that I'm hateful, it's that I'm
faithful, and I know whatever God means ! for me to have He'll give it to me. And if it takes too much sweat I don't need it. Stop begging people to stay.

Let them go!!

If you are holding on to something that doesn't belong to you and was never intended for your life, then you need to......

LET IT GO!!!

If you are holding on to past hurts and pains .....

LET IT GO!!!

If someone can't treat you right, love you back, and see your worth.....

LET IT GO!!!

If someone has angered you ........

LET IT GO!!!

If you are holding on to some thoughts of evil and revenge......

LET IT GO!!!

If you are involved in a wrong relationship or addiction......

LET IT GO!!!

If you are holding on to a job that no longer meets your needs or talents ....

LET IT GO!!!

If you have a bad attitude.......

LET IT GO!!!

If you keep judging others to make yourself feel better......

LET IT GO!!!

If you're stuck in the past and God is trying to take you to a new level in Him......

LET IT GO!!!

If you are struggling with the healing of a broken
relationship......

LET IT GO!!!

If you keep trying to help someone who won't even try to help themselves.....

LET IT GO!!!

If you're feeling depressed and stressed .......

LET IT GO!!!

If there is a particular situation that you are so
used to handling yourself and God is saying "take your hands off of it," then you need to......

LET IT GO!!!

Let the past be the past. Forget the former things. GOD is doing a new thing for 2006!!!

LET IT GO!!!

Get Right or Get Left
. think about it, and then ....

LET IT GO!!!

"The Battle is the Lord's!"

Believe in your own powers
And your own potential
And in your own innate goodness

Wake every morning
With the awe of just being alive
Discover each day the magnificent
Awesome beauty in the world

Explore and embrace life in yourself
And in everyone you see each day

Reach within to find your own specialties
Amaze yourself and rouse those around you
To the potential of each new day

Don't be afraid to admit
That you are less than perfect
This is the essence of your humanity

Let those who love you help you
Trust enough to be able to take
Look with hope to the horizon of today
For today is all we truly have

Live this day well
Let a little sun out as well as in.
Create your own rainbows

Be open to all your possibilities
All possibilities and miracles
Always believe in miracles
