My Little Bit of Heaven

Most of you are going through the same or similar trials and tribulations as I am though your stories may be a little different we are all still in the same boat. My prayer is that my little bit of heaven will make your little bit of heaven just a little bit better. May the Lord richly bless you all, cheers.

Soothe nerves with a multivitamin! Taking one a day ensures you are getting all the b vitamins you need which is important. Always check with your dr before starting any new supplement.

Not To The Right Or Left: Nov 13, 2008 10:14 am

“Let your eyes look straight ahead, and your eyelids look right before you.” Prov. 4:25. NKJV

To have a goal in mind and then to strive toward it—never to turn to the right or to the left, or to stop until the final destination has been reached—is a vital part of the Christian life.
Madame Curie, a scientist who possessed resolution, believed this, for she said: “Achievement is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance. . . . We must believe that we are gifted for something, and that this thing, at whatever cost, must be attained!”
Perseverance is essential, but in the Christian way the advance must be straight ahead. Any deviation is disastrous. I do not deny that God can be found through many a detour—some have finally come to Him after they have tried everything else first—but that is not the way God has planned for His children. He tells us that we should ponder the path of our feet and “look straight ahead,” because in His wisdom He knows that it is so much easier this way. He who watches his route from the beginning saves himself priceless time, the grime of unrighteousness, and tenacious wrong habits.
England’s legendary Robin Hood has always been admired because he stole from the rich to give to the poor. This works out beautiful in a story, but not so in the Christian life.
We must teach ourselves to persevere, to climb upward, ever following God’s own plan, remembering Longfellow’s reflection:
“The heights by great men, reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight, but they, while their companions slept, were toiling upward in the night.”
This will take effort, it may take tears; but, then, all great things do, and in the end a destiny will be more sublime than could ever be described by the brain of the wildest dreamer.

Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.

Never pass up an opportunity to go to the bathroom.

If you woke up breathing, congratulations! You get another chance.

And finally, be really nice to your family and friends; you never know when you might need them to empty your bedpan.

Amazingly Simple Home Remedies Nov 12, 2008 7:37 pm

A mouse trap, placed on top of your alarm clock, will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the snooze button.

If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives, then you will be afraid to cough.

Clumsy? Avoid cutting yourself while slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold them while you chop away.

Avoid arguments with the Mrs. about lifting the toilet seat by simply using the sink.

For high blood pressure sufferers: simply cut yourself and bleed for a few minutes, thus reducing the pressure in your veins. Remember to use a timer.

Have a bad headache? Smash your thumb with a hammer and you will forget about the headache.

Sometimes, we just need to remember what the rules of life really are: You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

I Am A Soldier: Nov 12, 2008 5:50 pm

I am a soldier in the army of God. The Lord Jesus Christ is my commanding officer. The Holy Bible is my code of conduct. Faith, Prayer, and the Word are my weapons of warfare. I have been taught by the Holy Spirit, trained by experience, tried by adversity, and tested by fire.
I am a volunteer in this army, and I am enlisted for eternity. I will either retire in this army or die in this army; But I will not get out, sell out, be talked out or pushed out. I am faithful, reliable, capable, and dependable. If my God needs me, I am there.
I am a soldier. I am not a baby. I do not need to be pampered, petted, primed up, pumped up, picked up, or pepped up. I am a soldier. No one has to call me, remind me, write me, visit me, entice me, or lure me. I am a soldier. I am not a wimp. I am in place, saluting my King.
Obeying His orders, praising His name, and building His kingdom! No one has to send me flowers, gifts, food, cards, candy, or give me handouts. I do not need to be cuddled, cradled, cared for, or catered to. I am committed. I cannot have my feelings hurt bad enough to turn me around. I cannot be discouraged enough to turn me aside. I cannot lose enough to cause me to quit. When Jesus called me into this army, I had nothing. If I end up with nothing, I will still come out even. I will win.
My God will supply all my needs. I am more than a conquerer. I will always triumph. I can do all things through Christ.
Devils cannot defeat me. People cannot disillusion me. Weather cannot weary me. Sickness cannot stop me. Battles cannot beat me. Money cannot buy me. Governments cannot silence me, and Hell cannot handle me! I am a soldier. Even death cannot destroy me. For when my Commander calls me from this battlefield, He will promote me to a captain. I am a soldier, in the army. I'm marching, claiming victory. I will not give up. I will not turn around. I am a soldier marching Heaven bound.

Here I stand! Will you stand with me?

Things to Ponder Nov 12, 2008 1:51 pm

Marriage is one of the chief causes of divorce.

Work is fine if it doesn't take too much of your time.

When everything comes in your way you're in the wrong lane.

The light at the end of the tunnel may be an incoming train..

Born free, taxed to death.

Everyone has a photographic memory, some just don't have film.

Life is unsure; always eat your dessert first.

Smile, it makes people wonder what you are thinking.

If you keep your feet firmly on the ground, you'll have trouble
putting on your pants.

It's not hard to meet expenses, they are everywhere.

I love being a writer, what I can't stand is the paperwork.

A printer consists of 3 main parts: the case, the jammed paper tray and the blinking red light.

The guy who invented the first wheel was an idiot. the guy who
invented the other three, he was the genius.

The trouble with being punctual is that no one is there to
appreciate it.

In a country of free speech, why are there phone bills?

If you cannot change your mind, are you sure you have one?

Beat the 5 o'clock rush, leave work at noon!

If you can't convince them, confuse them.

It's not the fall that kills you. it's the sudden stop at the end.

I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder.

Hot glass looks same as cold glass. - cunino's law of burnt fingers

Someday is not a day of the week

Whenever i find the key to success, someone changes the lock.

To err is human, to forgive is not a company policy.

The road to success is always under construction.
