Lying in the sun is fun. Getting burned by the sun is not fun. But every year millions of people do get severe sunburn. So, how do you get rid of sunburn pain and agony? The best advice is, of course, to use sunscreen creams BEFORE exposing your skin to the sun (apply sunscreen 30 minutes before going outdoors...and refresh the sunscreen throughout the day). But when it's too late, there's still a few things you can do. Here are tips to help you get rid of sunburn misery.
The biggest mistake you can make is to apply any kind of soothing cream before you first cool down the affected area. This will simply trap in the heat. The burning will continue, and you will suffer even more. Cool down the skin with ice or a cold wetted towel first, or lie in a very cold bath, or stand in a cold shower for at least five minutes.
White vinegar in a solution of two parts cold water to one part vinegar can work wonders. Soak a cloth in the solution and press it gently onto the burned area. You should never rub it in as this will make matters worse. Just dab in on gently, then leave the skin to dry. Aloe vera can be gently applied to the skin as a follow-up. Do this twice a day until you heal.
While aloe vera gel works well to relieve sunburn, some lotions contain alcohol. This will dry out the skin and tend to retain the heat, so any alcohol-based lotions or creams are best avoided. The summer sun can be much stronger than you may think. If you plan to be exposed to strong sunshine, always wear a suncream of appropriate strength. Remember, sunburn can cause cancer. You can always get rid of sunburn pain, but that may just be the short- term effect. Be careful!

We gather ‘round to celebrate On Independence Day Pay homage to our country As the children run and play.
With barbeques and picnics And fireworks in the air The flag we own is proudly flown To show how much we care.
The stars and stripes spell freedom She waves upon the breeze While bursts of colors can be seen Above the towering trees.
This is all quite wonderful We revel in delight But God above in divine love Has brought this day to light.
With just a stroke of liberty A touch of His great hand He gave democracy to us And helped this country stand.
The stripes upon our stately flag Were touched by His sweet grace Each star of white that shines so bright Reflects His loving face.
So as you turn to face the flag For battles that were fought Be filled with pride for those who died And freedoms that were bought.
But don’t forget to thank the One Who gives the bright display The reason why we paint the sky On Independence Day

"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us," (Ephesians 3:20)
When I reflect back on my childhood, I think back to those worship services in which a portion was dedicated to testimonies. Anyone who wished to share a testimony could stand in place or move up to the microphone and share with the congregation the movement of God in their lives. I vividly remember people testifying about miracles and blessings that they experienced and received that could not be explained by human wisdom. Therefore, they would conclude their testimony by simply saying, "all I can say is that God did it!" Many of us have experienced the movement of God in our lives in such a way that even we are amazed. Some cannot explain how God stretched a little bit of money and allowed them to do many things with it. Some cannot explain how they are still alive and well after the doctors had given up on them. Others cannot explain how they were able to purchase homes and cars with their credit rating. One can go on and on about the many miracles and blessings God has bestowed upon His people. Many are trying to think of ways to explain to people the movement of God when it simply cannot be explained. Therefore, when people question or ask "how this or that happened," the reply is simple All I can say is that "God did it!" Be blessed!
