Most of you are going through the same or similar trials and tribulations as I am though your stories may be a little different we are all still in the same boat. It takes strength to be firm
It takes courage to be gentle.
It takes strength to stand guard.
It takes courage to let down your guard.
It takes strength to conquer.
It takes courage to surrender.
It takes strength to be certain.
It takes courage to have doubt.
It takes strength to fit in.
It takes courage to stand out.
It takes strength to feel a friend's pain.
It takes courage to feel your own pain.
It takes strength to hide your own pains.
It takes courage to show them.
It takes strength to endure abuse.
It takes courage to stop it.
It takes strength to stand alone.
It takes courage to lean on another.
It takes strength to love.
It takes courage to be loved.
It takes strength to survive.
It takes courage to live.

One day a mother died.
And on that clear, cold morning,
in the warmth of her bedroom,
the daughter was struck with
the pain of learning that sometimes
there isn't any more.

No more hugs,
no more lucky moments to celebrate together,
no more phone calls just to chat,
No more 'just one minute'

Sometimes, what we care about the most goes away.
never to return before we can say good-bye,
Say 'I Love You.'

So while we have it, it's best we love it
And care for it and fix it when it's broken
and take good care of it when it's sick.

This is true for marriage and friendships
And children with bad report cards;
And dogs with bad hips;
And aging parents and grandparents
We keep them because they are worth it,
Because we cherish them!

Some things we keep
like a best friend who moved away
or a classmate we grew up with.
There are just some things that
make us happy, No matter what.

Life is important,
and so are the people we know
And so, we keep them close!

A True Story from the Jacksonville, Fl., Police Dept.

A man goes to a party and has too much to drink. His friends plead with him to let them take him home. He says no he only lives a mile away.
About five blocks from party, the police pull him over for weaving and ask him to get out of the car and walk the line. Just as he starts, the police radio blares out a notice of a robbery taking place in a house just a block away. The police tell the man to stay put, they will be right back and they hop a fence and run down the street to the robbery.
The guy waits and waits and finally decides to drive home. When he gets there, he tells his wife he is going to bed, and to tell anyone who might come looking for him that he has the flu and has been in bed all day.
A few hours later the police knock on the door. They ask if Mr. Joe is there and his wife says yes. They ask to see him and she replies that he is in bed with the flu and has been so all day.
The police have his driver's license. They ask to see his car and she asks why. They insist on seeing his car, so she takes them to the garage. She opens the door. There sitting in the garage is the police car, with all its lights still flashing.

True story: Told by the driver at his first AA meeting.

Two young men were looking at a Sears catalog and admiring the models. One says to the other, "Have you seen the beautiful girls in this catalog?"
The second one replies, "Yes, they are very beautiful. And look at the price!" The first one says, with wide eyes, "Wow, they aren't very expensive. At this price, I’m buying one."
The second one smiles and pats him on the back. "Good idea! Order one and if she's as beautiful as she is in the catalog, I will get one too."
Three weeks later, the young man asks his friend, "Did you ever receive the girl you ordered from the Sears catalog?" The second man replies, "No, but it shouldn’t be long now. I got her clothes yesterday!"

a little less creed,

a little less greed.
A little more smile and
a little less frown,
A little less kicking when
a man is down.
A little more "we" and
a little less "I",
A little more laugh and
a little less cry.
A little more flowers on the
pathway of life,
And fewer on graves at the
end of the strife.
