Where's Your Soul Buddy?

Hi Spirit Fans,
As a participant observer of this blog land and this website, I can see that many people earnestly desire to meet someone to be their closest friend, so much so that they have 3 sails flying, but feel like a bridge over nothing going nowhere.
Three of life's major questions: 1. Who am I? 2. Who am I going to marry? 3. What is my work going to be? can only be answered by life's Provider.
Where is my soul buddy is a most important subject with only a few good answers. Being in love and chemistry are essential. But, God is the matchmaker. If we are favored by His Divine Providence, we will meet and recognize our soul mate. Most of us haven't been favored as such. To get these kinds of favors from Him, we have to do Him the favor of letting Him run and lead our lives in all things. It's as simple as relationship is a gift from God to us for our gift of us to Him. What's elegant in solution is usually presented simply.

What God Wants?

Hi Spirit Fans,
What God wants is to be loved. When we as His family love each other, we also are loving Him, for He sees and takes personal what we do to each other. He feels it too.
Faith, hope, and love remain. The greatest of these is Love. What I want from my children is to be loved. Our Father in Heaven feels the same I believe.

Remarriage? YES !

Hi Spirit Fans,
Hi, Did God make marriage for man, or did God make man for marriage? He made marriage for the sake of man, for man was alone and being alone is not good. So obviously, the well being of man has a priority over marriage, which was created to help man, not man created to help marriage. Being in a world approaching 6 Billion people, its hard to say being alone is the issue it was then. But, there are other issues still as important.
In Eden, everything was perfect. In our present world there is probably not anything perfect. We live in an imperfect world anyway you look. Since Jesus covered all sin on the cross, I believe we are called now to make the BEST of our situation. Some people call this the greater good. Jesus interpreted the Sabbath to be created for man, not man for the sabbath. So, He seems to be saying human needs have a priority over ceremony.
There is probably no one on earth who hates divorce more than me. Speaking from experience of divorce, I can see why God hates it. If you are being legal you are missing the point. There is no law for those in Christ, just grace. There is no one person on this web site who does not sin every day. Every person here sins every day. I don't care if you are miss prissy pringle, you sin in many ways and many times per day.
If you want whats best for your life, it may very well be that staying single after a divorce, even several divorces, would be a worse sin than remaining unmarried because of the negative effects of being single. Saying it again, it may be more sinful to be single than be married, even after a divorce. Paul wished that all of us could and would be single for Jesus sake. A few have this gift, but most don't.
Tonight a Baptist prayer group meets in my home for fellowship and prayer. The only persons in this group not divorced is the pastor and his wife and he told me if he had it to do over again, he wouldn't get married. You may not know it, but most everyone on this big church web site is divorced. Many people here are hoping to meet their soul mate and be married again. What I believe will happen in most cases is we will never marry again. Its just too hard to trust, and as Jesus said in His interpretation of life, marriage is not for everyone. Marriage is difficult. Being single, or divorced is difficult. Whats best for you? Pray. Be honest with God. He hears all honest prayers in Jesus Name. The question it seems to me is not is it sinful to marry again after divorce, whatever the reason was, but whats best for you in this imperfect world in our imperfect lives till we get to a perfect heaven.
Of course, those with small foreheads and big mouths will roll out the scriptures and in their pious platitudes will dance the dracula. Once again, the law of God is to prove to our finite minds that we are law breakers and need to accept His mercy. The law or scriptures are helpful guides, wonderful principles for the Holy Spirit to use for His guidance for our personal lives.
If you are trying to not sin, forget it. You will sin. If you are trying to follow the Holy Spirit and make the best of your life, then do whats best after prayerful consideration. The scriptures straight jacket approach just kills. The Spirit of scripture gives life for the best, in our present circumstances.

A husband was late home from work one evening. "I'm sure he's having an affair,: said his wife to her mother. "Why do you always think the worst?" said the mother. "Maybe he's just been in a car crash."
After talking on the phone for about half an hour, a teenage girl suddenly hung up. "Wow!" exclaimed her father sarcastically. "That was short. You usually talk for two hours. What happened?" "Wrong number."
I'm ashamed of the way we live, a young wife said to her layabout husband who refused to find a job. "My father pays our rent, my mother buys all our food, my sister buys our clothes, and my uncle bought us the car. I'm so ashamed." The husband rolled over on the sofa, "So you should be ashamed," he agreed. "Those two worthless brothers of yours never give us a cent!"

Hit a Kid? Your Kidding?

Hi Spirit Fans,
Sorry I missed the raging discussion about hitting children as a form of discipline over the weekend. I have read some of it.. and I want to in a few words put the issue to rest.
Do you feel you could ever see JESUS hitting a child? Of course not, even in your wildest contemplation would you ever see Jesus hitting a child to discipline them?
Jesus wold talk to them, be an example, and have the sweetest dearest working relationship with children that to disappoint Him with improper or rebellious behavior would be too much for a child to bear.
Its only us grown ups, with callous impenetrable hearts, that need to ber slapped on the face, and beat on the butt. A lot of good intentioned, well meaning parents have it just backwards who needs a beating. Its the parents, not the kids. And, kids are not even legally responsible until a certain age. So, is beating going to do them any good when in the eyes of the court they are not responsible? Its going to do them harm sometimes physically, but more so, in their soul and spirit, or psychologically speaking.
I am glad the Lord led me to this site. I have never met a group of people who needed me more, than the Bible thumping, pulpit pounding, darlings of dogma.

Understanding Women by a Man

Hi Spirit Fans,
Hey guys, once we get past thinking women are logical and reasonable, we got it made. Women are emotional.
Women are born emotional, women live an emotional life, and women pass on emotionally. Women are bristling with emotion. They most times don't even know whats coming next. They surprise themselves as much as anyone. They are a delightful lot of fun.
When a woman says something stupid, I excuse her. When a woman says something insightful, I praise her. At the end of the day, after all, they are women. Get it? Probably not, but women tell us guys that we don't need to understand them, just love them. Now thats a clue.
If it looks like a woman, talks like a woman, acts like a woman. Guess what? We want women to be logical, reasonable, but they aren't. This is why birthdays, anniversaries, and praise means so much to them. They are emotional creatures. Women want men to be logical and reasonable because much of the time they are not; but, they also want us to be a little more emotional.
A woman is never ever wrong. At least they don't want us to tell them so directly. The way they look at it is some days they are just more right than they are other days. Now if this is not emotional, I don't know what it.
From this perspective, its possible to understand, live with, marry, and get along with women. This might even help them get along with each other!
God made women for a reason. Us guys need something in our life besides logic and reason and each other. We need completion, a balance, some moon to go with our sun, some poetry to go with our warrior, some yin to go with our yang. Haven't you noticed something is mostly missing in our life? Yeah, its emotional. '
Even though its hard to live with a woman, and its hard to live without a woman; understanding them from this point of view, I believe its possible to live with them happily enough for the most part, and ignore the rest.

Sensing the Enemy

Hi SpiritFans,
In interpreting Holy Scripture, the most important principle in this science known as Hermaneutics is the wonderful principle of "Harmony of all Truth". It means simply that truth harmonizes with truth. There is no friction. Truth is seamless, smooth, and in perfect clarity with any and all truth.
God writes His law today on our heart. This is fortunate for us I believe because who among us is smart enough, wise enough, or old enough to know what we are talking about? We have an inner sense of whats true and whats out of step with the truth even though we may not know how or why.. we just know that something doesn't seem completely right in some way. We also know something is right even if we don't know why its right.
What satan does is work through people, even Christians to say things that are out of harmony with the truth, even just a little. Its not the amount of disharmony, just a little bit will do.
Remember, scripture can not be broken. If two truths seem to contradict, they will reconcile when all the facts are known.

Speaking Against The Spirit

Many of my christian brothers and sisters on the Big Church website seem so well intentioned and thoughtful. It warms my heart to read serious posts about meaningful issues. Its great to see the community of faith in action.
What concerns me is the speaking against the Spirit. Lets walk in love, practise peace, be open minded to others opinions, pray for each other, pray for this wonderful site, pray for our families, pray for those in pain and hurting.
An interesting practise that has fallen into some disues is to pray the scriptures. Its coming back now. I believe the book of Psalms is good for this practise of praying the scrdiptures.
I especially like positive blogs and posts, those that bless the community of faith, those that give insight. Those that judge others, tear them down rarely do any good. Did you ever hear Jesus condemn anyone? He said He came to save the world, not to condemn it.

Family Consequences

Its not just outward actions that bring harm to our families, it is also now inward heart intentions.
Cleansing prayer can save our families from the consequences of our evil heart intent. We should pray to not only be healed, but also to save our own family members from harm that we bring upon our own household.
The music in our home, the magazines, the ornaments, the books are there for what intent?
My house has been anointed with olive oil in the name of Jesus. I have only inspirational music playing 24/7. I have anointed the doorposts of my house. I have a cross 3' X 2' on the wall. Also, fresh flowers, Bibles, godly books, prayer meetings, and the place is bathed in prayerful light literally and intentionally.
Paul reminds us that many Christians are sick, weak, and some have died because they do not respect the Body being a unity and in accord. At Communion some were pigging out not sharing with others, some were drinking too much. This disunity and lack of respect for the group resulted in death, weakness, and sickness in the Christian family. Are we not told to examine our own hearts? Does God look on the outward form or inside at the heart?
In this day and age, we can never do too much to protect our families from our own hearts of good and evil intent. The world we live in is more a spiritual reality than a physical reality. Out of our hearts are the issues of life. We need to guard our hearts with prayer, cleanse our hearts with prayer, and set up the world around us with prayer anointing. We are told to pray for our authorities for this reason.
Respect the spiritual world and be safe and secure in family and home. There is enough truth here for anyone wise enough to see light between two fence posts to take immediate action to cleanse their life.
