Sabrefire, thank you so much for this post! I can honestly say this is an inspiring explaination of utilizing your talents for God's glory. Perhaps I ought to let go of my own "creative inhibitions" and just allow myself to "let go" in my writing.
Emotional writing vs. Logical writing. . .Perhaps there will be a new winner in my posts.
Hmm, I think I feel a poem coming on!
God Bless!! GoblinQueen

This tells me to simplify my thoughts and get back to the basics (bury myself in the Book). I love the part about wisdom comes around again to those who love her.
I've been having some issues with my daughter and also been teetering on depression myself, lately. I think I've got the upper hand after this weekend. If I feel that anxious feeling in my stomach, I think, "Uh oh, this is NOT going to happen." Because I know how hard it is to climb out of depression, once you surrender to it.
I had to steal away by myself for awhile and go to my cliff at the lake. It's not my cliff, but to me it IS my cliff. I needed to just be still and know that HE is God and HE IS in control, ultimately. To recenter my soul around trusting Him. I even went to my old elementary school, found a jump rope outside and started jumping it. I realized then that I was jumping rope in the exact same spot that I recall jumping rope when I was 6. God is cool like that, bringing it full circle for me. Then, I long talk with grandma always makes things better. Thank God for her.
Now, I just have to nurse my bruise from the foul ball that hit me at the baseball game yesterday. Ouch. It's okay, though, I wear it with honor.

Creativity is a wonderful, golden, God-given outlet that we can all utilize to connect with God and with one another. It's a beautiful and gracious gift we have been given to be able to lift up and inspire one another with simple thoughts and words. When those thoughts and words are filled with God's love that's when they become blessings.
This is something you wrote in response to the very first poem I ever posted here called- A Shadow of Grey... I am amazed because after all this time it's still the nicest thing that anyone here has ever said to me...

Admittedly I am quite young still but I have begun to see a certain congruency in writings which I classify as "cries from the wilderness" These writings seem to tap into a common vein that extends, somehow into heaven. You my dear have found that vein... great work and expression. GBY sabrefire"

"Wow your words really touch my heart thank you... It's like you really hear me and get what I am trying to say. I think my relationship with God is very loving and intuitive. It's so nice to hear that you think so as well... your post really made my day and I have to say- that's the nicest thing anyone here has said to me.
I feel like I have made a new friend... thank you for your kindness and I like your writing as well."

Heya Sis, it sounds to me like you have a great grasp of your situation in life. That reminds me of the saying,
"Two men looked out from prison bars, one saw mud, the other saw the stars."
I am very often slipping away from the crowd to be off by myself for a while. I think that the Spirit moves easier in this way. Nearly all the greats of the Bible did something similar to this, as I'm sure you no doubt know. Their problems were so often exponential to ours, so certainly we can endure.
GBY Sis! p.s. bruises ARE tattoos on the tough ...

Heya Sky~ I still remember that poem...it was very good. I know that people can be unduly critical, no matter where you're at. This is why we must write first for G-d and ourselves above all. I write quite a bit of stuff that I don't post here. Some is just for Him. Some I know most people wouldn't understand. Some, perhaps people might like to criticize and take a bit of my joy away...if I were to let them. Don't let em.

Most of us share both... the ups and downs the heaven and hell of our lives. You are right- no one can take anything good from us and we should not let anyone rob us of our joy. The joy of the Lord is our strength no one else can give it to us and they certainly can't take it away.
I know how it can be when things get a little chaotic and your inspiration is running low sometimes... I have not been here as much lately. It's good to see you again, hope all is well... did you like the pics?
