A Shekel For Your Thoughts!!!

For whatever reason I'm having a bit of writers block lately. My own ideas are becoming seemingly- pretty "blah." So I'd like some help with some ideas to re-spark my enthusiasm.
I really do rather enjoy writing- it's a stress reliever for me...so feeling uninspired by my own thoughts is just no good at all! So if any of you can help me in thinking about what, perhaps you might enjoy reading about on the blogs...I'd really appreciate it.

Help lift me outta a blog-bog for a shekel...anyone???

Hi, might you write about your experiences, hopes, frustrations as a student? Your experiences in nature, the beach, forest, mountains? Mountain-top experiences in G-d? Joy, glory, peace in tribulation? You're a creative guy, I have faith in you!

How about you as a person, your testimony? God bless!

lol...did I ever tell you you're the wind beneath my wings? Hahaha, how's that for corny-barrowed inspiration?!? lol.
The career look's like it's going out of state. Michigan's economy I hear is dead last in the state for job growth. I have an examination and interview with the fed's on July 1st...
I've got the Biomedical degree on my wall now so...I could work unceritfied somewhere for cheap...until I get into and can afford an internship... for the exam. Applications begin to go out around August...
both cyto and MT applications are going to be sent out. We'll see what happens! G-d is good!
Oh and I have a couple childrens novels I'd like to have published...we shall see .
Student Loans
Lol Gb and what did you decide to do with your job offer? In what capacity is it?

Good stuff Pat!
I really seem to dislike talking about myself. My testimony is BORING compared to others here.lol. I've been religious nearly all my life really. I come from a loving family, never been in jail or anything, lol...hmmmm... I'm Messianic...and I really only drink kosher wine now...hahaha. Not because I think its a real sin for me not to, but because I like the romance and dedication of it! Haha I'm puttin myself to sleep here...
The nature stuff might be good! ohhh, yeah lotsa good stuff!
Thanks!

Hey Sabre,
Just as the moon's eclipse eventually passes to allow its illumination so too shall your eclipse of inspiration pass.

Look to Philippians 4:8
"Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things."

God Bless You Brother!!

Grace, like water, always flows downward, to the lowest place. Amazing Grace!!

Oh a writer! I believe the expression over there is "good on ya!"
Yeah the books are 2 in a series about a kingdom set in that timeless era all folk stories are. There's a mountain range here in the U.S. called the Glass Mountains...this kingdom is set in literal glass mountains...complete with silver and gold trees and what not. It's full of animal characters and innuendo and biblical allegory...I'm quite happy with them... Maybe for ages 8-x??
Set out to create something wholesome with an easily identifiable set of lessons- kinda like glittzed up parable's for kiddies.
I think the real reason I like them is because I'm just a silly kid myself!!
It's really chock-full of the fantastical...and as glittery as I could possibly make it!
Title one is "The Good King of the Glass Mountains."
Title two is "The Dark Glass Witch." (hint; she doesn't make it, lol)
They're getting bequeathed to my unborn nephew...the little bugger.

Be blessed!

Hi Sabre,

Find a pavement cafe and watch the world go by, write character studies of people; describe them and how you think they live, how you think they move and think, paring away the layers from surface level appearance to the very core of their being.

This is a good discipline for a writer, thinking, breathing the subject matter. I store these characters and use them in books, though I have yet to finish a book lol.

Good practical advice Izzy thanks. I think that would be a fun trip...indeed. My old boss told me of this a while ago...
I think it's going to be beautiful day today...so???
Thanks! So do you write mostly fiction then?

Hey you've been given some really excellent advice here from friends who love you. Your feelings I can understand- have been there many times before. I turn to the writings and songs of people that inspire me.

I read a whole book of poetry before I wrote that last poem you commented on- it came from deep within my soul, but the style in which it was written was inspired by all the poems I had just read... it's so beautiful when something like that can translate into something that is uniquely your own.

I hope that helps and if you need a bit more, I think we would both agree that the following words are some of the most inspirational ever spoken by any man within the last century... GoBaLY- Sky

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

God's love reaches all- growing means thinking outside the box... love one another

hey that is so cool, I used to write parable type stories too...The lace trees never got off the ground but the cow who wanted to be a human was a cool one, forget the title now but she wasnt happy with her life as a cow n used to have all pink stuff in her house & hold tea parties. One day she decided it was easier to be what she was created to be... I wrote a really good poem about a tree once, a pastor used it in a sermon in KY..we were cyber dating back then lol.. and then there was Miss Mouse..the adventures of, goes camping etc based on a soft knitted mouse I had..wrote all these down but didnt get them published or anything. I did join the Christian Writers Guild but found there were rules to writing as in everything else....grrr how rude! I couldnt fit my creativity into a box at the time n gave up. My words come easier to me on paper often these days, well my thoughts anyway.
Perhaps after talking to you I'll resume?? I did enjoy it and have a wee grandson now. That would be fun wouldnt it, writing for your own family.
Your nephew will be blessed by your talent I'm sure, did yuo get them published or illustrated?

Hey Sky, yeah thoe are indeed some good points of inspiration. Poems, songs, and the BOOK...will get me by I'm sure.
I really do like that quote because I think it's very true for some people. I myself am a bit hesitant to step- for very long- in the lime light. I've got the philosophy of 'don't ever let me see you sweat.' Sometimes the lights can get pretty hot.

Oh jeez they sound cute! The bit about the cow is adorable!
I've heard about the writer's guild and the 'box,' really stymies the purrpose doesn't it? I'd certainly encourage you to get back up on the horse- or the cow , as it were, and start writing again. Creativity like that must not be hidden! Maybe just write for your grandson, and see what comes of it!!

Hi Sabre, writers block is when you freeze up and cant think of a thing to write lol..like me for the last few years. My stuff isnt published either, and unfortunately I sold miss mouse at a garage sale, trying to grow up and get rid of my soft toys lol, the cow got lost on an old computer and the lace trees never really got off the ground. Thanks for your kind comments tho, and yes, I will get my creativity out again and put it to use... the cow story did end up in an after school childrens holiday programme tho that the local baptist church ran, so all is not lost. My communication skills seem to have dried up to a large extent lately, not sure why. I used to write a lot of poetry too, but dont much these days, perhaps I'm getting old n lazy
Yup the 'box' is a pain when you just want to write eh I use blogland a good deal as my artistic expression, love the medium. Your colours n artwork are great by the way, and your poetry n writings too

You didnt! You sold the soft-mouse! Oh, my! Lol. Perhaps you could use the blogs as a place for inspiration for starting to write again. I think it'd be amazing to have a writing group here. You know like a round robin type of deal- between friends that alternate the designation of broad spectrum-topics...then we all write on that subject and read each others works...and point out what we liked about each others writing. But hopefully it wouldn't turn into homework, but still give the "push" we need.
Thanks for the compliment and I'm glad you like my stuff.
Blessings sweet kiwi lady!
