Hi, all!!! Here's what happened... Decided to *run* to Georgia (300 miles away) as my son and family were to be there one day loading a truck. Borrowed a car from my brother 50 miles from here to do the deed. I just wanted to see my son, his wife and three grands because they are usually much farther away and my son is soon going to Iraq. Come to find out, things weren't ready to load and had to be packed. It took two days which was really 3 days and 2 nights with about 8 hours sleep total for each adult - then came the real challenge. They needed to get a moving van, a mini-van, 2 adults and 3 children 1500 miles in 33 hours. So, I went a long as *relief driver* for both my son and his wife, and we took turns with two driving and one sleeping straight through. We made it in 30 hours. NO arguments or fussing from kids or adults!! The push was to get to the house closing 9AM Monday (a week ago), and, WE DID! with 2 hours to spare. (1500 miles in 30 hours.) That's how I ended up in COLORADO last week! Of course I stayed a few days to help unpack... Next adventure was leaving Saturday afternoon: My son's car, to... A plane, to... A Marta train, to... A Marta bus, to... An Amtrack train, to... A taxi cab, to... My brother's car, then... drive 366 miles to get home at 4AM Sunday in time for 4.5 hours sleep before church. Snore... That was yesterday. Tomorrow, I'm heading out for Missouri, to attend an annual prayer conference that I believe I'm supposed to attend. 1,000 miles away. Happy day! So where in the World is DraeDrae?? LOL WHAT DAY IS IT??? I should be back in North Carolina some time Tuesday, October 30. Thank you faithful friends and readers! Thanks for stopping by. Please check in and I'll drop by to see you when I'm back, or sooner if I get the chance. I've discovered library free internet! REJOICE! To God be the glory! DraeDrae, Thank you for your encouragement on my blog. I will pray for your son. Keep me posted on how he is doing. I had 2 brothers there. One swore the other one in for 6 more years. The youngest one came back in March and is hoping to go back in March 2008. The other one came home just before Labor Day and was one of the RedBulls that were over there longer than most cuz' of the extention that they were given. The one that just got home will be speaking to some of the cub scouts in the area here in our hometown. I am soooo glad that he could be a blessing to the children over there and that he will continue to bless other children here too. Well I have to go, Love and Peace in Christ, 00Bonz
