Hi, all - I've been taking a week off, emotionally at least, from blogging. My week was over-filled with *real life* that seemed to be all I could manage. The good news is, I survived, I'm here. There are some real challenges out there, aren't there? LOL My testimony is that I would not have survived the week without the help of a couple true friends in the Lord who ministered to me when I reached out, and of course without the help of my "partner-in-prayer," my bud, with whom I am slogging through a pretty heavy *relationship* assignment from the Lord. Things I've learned: When following God...
His plan is for us? We are not *supposed* to be able to do this on our own, without Him or without each other. E'nuff said. God is good. MEGA good. I missed you guys this week. Glad you are all here! Glad you dropped by. Say "hey," okay? (I'm in North Carolina. We say "hey" here.) And If you're new here, I am very pleased to meet you! How about pull up a comment and introduce yourself? I'm off to read your blogs.... Remember: My Will is not Always His Way but He Will be There With Me and His Plan is Better Anyway! To God be the glory! Please see: My Will is not Always His Way but He Will be There With Me and His Plan is Better Anyway! and Where in the World is DraeDrae??? |

Hello there! I agree...life is NOT easy and there will always be obstacles for us to face but if it weren't for those obstacles, we wouldn't be the person we became today. God loves us just the way we are but loves us too much to leave us that way. Like most, I've come across one challenge after another but I don't regret anything...I thrive on challenges because I know that it will bring us that much closer to God when we overcome them...it is during our toughest times that God will see our true love for him so it is up to us to "choose" what to do with that challenge/obstacle.

"We are not *supposed* to be able to do this on our own, without Him or without each other." I really like this part - it really stuck out to me - self-sufficiency kinda sucks and steals our joy! Blessings!! How can we NOT praise Him - Marilyn

Sometimes drae we have to reach out for that reality check, I did that last week with a sister in Christ. It helped. "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." James 5:16 - Pat -

There's always failure if we do things our way. One of my favorite verse is: "TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND LEAN NOT WITH YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING; IN ALL YOUR WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM, AND HE WILL MAKE YOUR PATHS STRAIGHT." ( Proverbs 3:5-6 ) Glad to see you back, Drae. God Bless you. " We are fearfully and wonderfully made." Psalm 139:14a

I'm with you. I don't want to be delivered from my tests. I want to *pass* them, be changed into His image, and give Him glory. Hey, I'm so glad you are here. Thanks for stopping by! Thanks for sharing this...I can see God working every day when he puts up barriers for me so that I can't get into situations I can't handle. It hurts, at times, but I know God's protecting me and that His way IS better.
