Love is such a strong feeling, an emotion that has many directions and can include an abundance of things, especially people, whether it's our family, our friends, our one and only, or God!!! I really do believe that the most incredible thing in this world is Love!!!! I used to play this particular song of Billy Joel's over and over and today, it's been a while since I've heard it. Usually, it totally pulls greatly at my heart, half in pain of heartache and half in knowing that it's so special to share your heart fully with someone, trusting someone completely enough to give your heart to them. I know how to love and give my heart but I haven't experienced it in return......you know, to be given someone's heart....to win their heart, as the saying goes. Even though I didn't experience it, yet, I think it's kind of the love you feel when God extends His mighty, but tender hand in comfort when pain is too great!! I've never read the words to this song. It's very beautiful. This love thing is a risky business isn't it. Giving someone your heart is such a great risk. I've loved and lost, loved again with more strength than ever before and now it's in limbo. It's so hard! But, those times when it's good, it's great. God's love is so endless and boundless, we can't imagine. I honestly can say, I don't understand it. We have all loved someone who hasn't returned the love or has forsaken us in some way - God doesn't do that and even when I do things that He disapproves of, he still loves me. I still can't imagine it.

The GREEK words LOVE are all used as VERBS, NOT EMOTIONS. Too many people get caught up in the good feeling of the monemt and when it wears off they don't know what happened or what to do next.So they move on to the next relationship and don't get it why the good feeling never lasts. I so agree Lisa, Love is the thing that I Think god is all about. I mean it says 'for love is the greatest of these' how more to the point can we get? Its a decision not a feeling. Luv is patient, kind, unselfish, hopes 4 the best...

The words to that song, they hit me like a bullet. I can love my friends and family; I love God more than anyone would ever know because He loves me right back, without prejudice. The rest is too wounding....and I never thought I would say that. I have had a love that was returned in great measure but it wasn't to be. APB: Pen is missing......out on the date of her life Hmmmmmm......is this a caper????? All GPSs somehow when batteries are replaced send droves and droves of women to YOU??????
