Hamish and Jock are my White West Highland terriers... Each day i walk miles with them... They have their own little personalities too (and they ansa back when i talk to them!!) Today, we walked over the bridge and within minutes we are in fields, away from the hussle and bussle of life where i live. The tranquility and areas of outstanding natural beauty in Devon are absolutely breathtaking - i am so blessed to live here! The sun was shining in my eyes and i heard someone calling my name... Before me, stood a woman, whom i went to school with some 22 years ago (Gosh that makes me feel OLD!! LOL ) She quite openly, talked about her life, her marriage had broken down and she was re married... and the heartache her daughter (who is the same age as Jools and they went to school together) had given her. It seems she has fallen in with a similiar crowd that Jools was involved with. Not only could i empathize with this womans obvious pain at watching her daughter self destruct infront of her, i could offer help and support too. It totally blows me away - how God turns what has to be the most hideous chapter of my life (so far) and makes it positive. I also had the opportunity to share my faith with her too. we didnt actually get along at school either - i am truly humbled. |
