More Info about "the woman Jezebel"

Revelation 2v20 mentions "the woman Jezebel,

who calls herself a prophetess," and led

some members of the Christian Church there

to committ spiritual fornication.

This may be a symbolic name, given because of

a resemblance between her and the idolatrous

wife of Ahab.

Siting the definition from Zondervan Bible

Dictionary.



I would say that the words...spiritual

fornication" lend meaning to today's

mention of a "spirit of Jezebel", and tells

us precisely what this spirit leds a Christian

to commit.

One pastor that I had(he moved to another state)

said that the name Jezebel meant

"unhusbanded one". Perhaps because of

lack of submission to her husband Ahab; but

regarding the one mentioned in Revelation,

because of her lack of submission to the authority

of the House of the LORD that she was attending.



As the Holy Spirit has taught me,

anyone with a gift or a calling,

must be "heart" submitted to the

authority(ties) of the House of the lORD.

Even if someone recognizes this gift

or calling on you, you are still

subject to the authority God has placed

there. A prayer that I use in this case:

"Father, I submitt my spirit to the

authority of this House, in Jesus name."

Then I have felt the release of the LORD

to minister with His grace and blessing.

If for some reason the authority in that

house is not submitted to the LORD, then

the LORD will be your full covering.
