"If My people...

...who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My Face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14

As I meditated on this verse during my quiet time this morning, the following thought was on my heart.

The campaign rhetoric crescendos as we rapidly approach primaries...wouldn't this be an awesome foundation for a candidates campaign?

Would you vote for a candidate with this "platform"

--for all those down under, across the pond, north or south of the border - or from where ever, this is not a country specific poll, so go ahead and vote!
Yes, definately
No, religion shouldn't be mixed with politics
Depends on the "candidates" party affiliation
The dependance upon God isn't enough, I would have to know more about the "candidate"

I voted 4.....actions speak louder than words, and particularly from a politician !

I agree with you Apostle. Sadly enough, I doubt an individual who walked the walk and didn't just "talk it" would or could make it into a presidential primary. What do you think?

I would have to know more about the person to make sure he is actually doing the work that he is taking credit for. If he than I would vote for him/her.

Amen, we don't need a candidate with lip service, we need a candidate with a heart for the Lord! Thanks for stopping by!

I agree. I chose #2 because I believe in the separation of church and state.

ahh, but the framer's of the constitution intent was to protect religious freedom - we are one nation under God. Our nation's foundation is Christianity. Thanks for stopping by!

Yes, since integrity is such a rare commodity among politicians these days, just hearing someone say it would not be hardly enough.

Godliness and politics do not mix?

I am not sure that is a platform specifically, it is a great person who humbles themselves and prays to seek his face. But if I were to hear most politicians use this as a part of their platform, I would probably assume they want me to be called by their name.

busykydad replies on 8/6/2007 7:37 am:
No, its not a platform specifically, thus the quotations when I used the word. Simply inquiring if a candidate who truly sought Christ in all things would find support...now, finding that candidate is unlikely.
