Marital Status (revised version)

Try this again...the first attempt didn't have enough categories. This maxed out the options, so if you are not in one of these categories...sorry!
Single, never married
Living together
Lived together, never married, now separated
Married
Married, but separated
Divorced
Divorced and remarried
Widowed
Widowed and remarried
Married three or more times

It really doesn't make God much difference, so why should it with us.
Keep It So Simple (KISS) with only 4 catagories.

1, single
2, married
3, single again
4, remarried

But if you want more specifics, I'm divorced.

busykydad replies on 7/4/2007 5:14 am:
just curiosity, nothing more, nothing less. and my earlier, simpler attempt didn't work because there wasn't "the right category for me"

I meant nothing by my remark. Just making a remark. Your survay is just fine.

Okay missy, who's putting themself down now?
I'm with busykydad, and I would bet your answer would be you feel like you are too old for it to happen, but that is a lie from the pit that the enemy wants you to believe.
If Sarah and Elisabeth who were both well past menopause could have babies, then you can still aquire a husband. But you got to stop trying to find him, and let him find you.

I'm not putting myself down...it's the reality LOL! And of course things worked out for Sarah and Elizabeth - but don't forget they were old and wrinkly (eugh! - there must have been grace in that alone) and lived a few hundred more years! If I get to 90 you can BET I won't be having children!!! I'm not trying to find a husband. There's no point. And because I'm not looking, and I'm not being looked for...one and one equals...yes...singlesness. It would be a shame not to have experienced s e x before I die, but there's more to life than that. If you want to be married but it's about cost, ask the Lord to provide the right amount for you...

While living with someone is part of the 'norm' of society (I'm from tje UK too), it's not God's ideal. The Bible makes that clear and also (this is not a judgement from me), compares those who have s e x out of wedlock to prostitution...because there's no 'commitment' in the sight of God.

Do you also know that 50% of marriages end in divorce whereby the couple lived together beforehand? I worry because my sis is in the very same situation as you...

Who are you pleasing...yourself, your partner or God? Who matters most to you? God can turn it all around but you can't rely on it...in the meantime your forfeiting all the blessings He has for you...do you really want that?

Just food for thought...like I say, it's not that I'm judging you...I hope that makes sense?!

Another thing that really spoke to me is that by being in a s e x ual relationship out of marriage, it's as good as committing adultery because it could be that you (or whoever) are sleeping with someone else's husband/wife...therefore the lack of commitment is preventing them and you from finding your spouse...(hence the bit about not getting the blessings God wants to pour down on you)...this applies to any area of our lives where we're out of step with God...through disobedience (rebellion, self-interest, sin)...the Bible says He disciplines those He loves...so we can never expect to get away with our ungodly areas...esp. if we're aware of it, but continue in it.
