Dallas

I arrived in Dallas today for meetings tomorrow and Friday. My hotel is across the parkway from Parkland Hospital...the hospital where JFK was taken after being shot by Lee Harvey Oswald.

This afternoon I went to the 6th floor museum. I stood near the location where Mr. Oswald shot President Kennedy. The year was 1963...two years before I was born, so I don't have an answer to the question, "where were you when JFK was shot".

Looking out the window down at the road and Daely plaza brought some unusual feelings. JFK was just a man. I wonder what it would be like to be able to stand at Gabbatha, where Jesus was tried. Or walk the Via Delarosa where He bore his cross. Or even to be able to stand at Golgotha, where Jesus was crucified???

I may never have opportunity to go to those places, but I have a blessed hope that one day I will stand in His presence in Glory!

"He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose." - part of Jim Elliot's October 28, 1949 journal entry

One life will soon be passed, only what's done for Christ will last!

Me too!
When asked the place I'd like most to visit...that's it, all those places you described: Gabbatha, where Jesus was tried, Via Delarosa where He bore his cross, Golgotha, where Jesus was crucified.
