When i look at the history from the Biblical point of view, I see that we (Jews) were given Personal rule (No Kings or judges); a leader (Moses), Judges; Kings and so on.
We had the opportunity to show we can do things right and just following a man. But we didn't succeed.
Jesus had to come and be the ultimate sacrifice for us.
At judgements day we can't point anything out and say: We COULD have done it without Jesus; You just wouldn't allow us...

History is repeating itself.

We think we live in the Age of Enlightenment: Our grand forefathers were not enlightened with all of our knowledge. They were superstitious believing in a God! But now we know better.
Now we think we can do it on our own. Be righteous and just. Just as the Bible tells us to be. But we fail.
We still need Jesus to save us, and to pay for our failures.
What else can we do on Judgements day?

History is for sure repeating itself...

The law doesn't save anyone. It just points out what you do wrong.
And by the way: You can't keep the law. If you break just the smallest part of it, you have broken all of it.

Jesus is the only one who do save anything!!

Mr. Meow.
First of all I don't think the Blog of Racefan is the right place for making a discussion on what you don't understand.
Secondly : I think my response to Racefan should be quite easy to understand.
Thirdly: Reading the whole Bible over and over again doesn't grand anyone to understand it. Even atheists read it again and again.
And last: I can point out at least three points of your writings, Mr. Meow, where your way of expressing yourself is contradicting the Bible. I can -as everybody else - only assess your writings - not your thoughts. So if you are writing something else than what you think, then it is quite understandable I do not understand what you think.

Holiness is a gift; not something to gain by exercising. But you have to be willing to receive that gift, and let it grow.

    Quoting  :

Hi Racefan.
Of cause you don't want to put words into my mouth; but I wouldn't reject them if above words written by you was put into my mouth!

To the rest of your responses to my writings here at your Post, I can only say: AMEN!

AND it's nice that we are finding out it is not my understanding of what Mr. Meow writes OR a difference between what he intended to write vs what he actually wrote that makes the no-understand. But actually that he don't understand what I write.
Good to have that cleared up.

You understand what I write, so I am not unintelligible.

Blessings
