Who Reads YOUR Blogs?

Sometimes I take writing a blog for granted. I write one almost every day for the last two years. Usually I just write about what's on my heart or about something I feel strongly about. I also take for granted those who read my blogs, in that I only interact with those leaving comments. But what I've discovered is that there are many here, who read the blogs but never comment. And many who read the blogs but never write one of their own. We don't know them, we don't acknowledge their presence, because we don't know they are here. In keeping with that mindset, we are also unaware of the impact our words may have on another, other than those who express that impact. Several times, I've received an email from someone I don't know, telling me of how my words had an effect on them that day, mostly for a positive effect, but sometimes not. I just received one of those emails, from a man who's been here since 2006, reading blogs but not commenting or writing one of his own. Today, I am caused to consider those I don't know. I feel led to be grateful and appreciative to all who take the time to read my words. My prayer is for the Holy Spirit to lead me in all that I write, in hopes of being a blessing to someone today. Today, I am reminded that we are to edify and encourage each other, our words can have a positive or negative impact on someone's day. When we are conscious of that, hopefully, we will be more cautious about what we say. Today, I thank each of you reading this and hope the love of Jesus will be seen through me to have an edifying impact on your day. May God bless each one of you!  I've been checking things out.. reading some blogs...for I'm new to Bigchurch...there is alot of good here and sadly there are those who are out to scam others too. Would love any guidance you may have! I love the Lord and have for many years. Unity between the body is soo important! Whether we agree or not we need to stay united by His spirit, the enemy tries to destroy through division. I lean not on my own understanding,, yet acknowledge Him in all His ways!

Another good post my sister! I've had blogs where it showed many viewers but few comments and to these I too, say thank you. There is something else I think about. Not everyone who comes here to BigChurch are christians. A lot of people are just surfing and stumble upon us. That is why we need to strive to show them Jesus, His love, grace and mercy in our blogs. Love and Hugs   I can always see Jesus in your words! We never know when something we write touches the heart of someone. His love, grace, and mercy are quite obvious in your blogs, so don't stop! The world needs to hear what you have to say! Blog on! Hi Terri, Good post... edifying and building up... it's so important. Someone once said it takes a thousand positive words/comments to undue one negative. God gave us an amazing gift in words. Terri I love your beautiful spirit, stong faith and knowledge, and encouraging words filled with hope that you often leave when you stop in at my blog. Thank you always and have a wonderful day! I'm pretty verbal, but have to admit some posts just leave me speechless. It's not that they're good or bad. I'm just at a loss for words. I'm so careful about the words I choose, but if we speak truth, there will always be offense to someone. You may never know how many people are blessed by what you write! cannot even keep track of my blogs must less who reads them, hahahaha, unless somebody does comment then i see a face but have noticed that not many are commenting or even reading the blogs unless it is gossip, a fight, or somebody that has not been here in a while, cheers So many are blessed by reading your daily posts! Terri, thanks for this word. I basically quit blogging for 2 reasons... one is time... the other is because of people not commenting. I became discouraged at not having responses. BUT, you are right. Thank you! When there is a bit more time, I will begin blogging again. I hope you'll come back to blogging, few responses doesn't mean that someone wasn't blessed by reading. You never know when a word that you wrote was just the thing that someone needed to hear that day! When you get more time, blog on! I'll be sure to tell you I'm reading! God bless you! Amen. So true. It seems so silly to me to become involved in a verbal battle. If someone dosen't agree with me-Oh well! They don't have to. Love this post. Terri - so true! There are a lot of folks that stop & read and for whatever reason, don't care to blog themselves or post comments. I had one gentlemen post a comment on my blog (not on BC) and he could barely type a sentence...he has had a stroke, and he's confined now, and he was reaching out in friendship. It must have taken gargantuan effort for him to do it. Your words are always uplifting and/or thought-provoking. Your heart is clearly filled with love! I admire you and aspire to be more like you (which means more like Jesus!). Thank you for your presence here on the blogs. God bless you and your ministry. Hugs! We have a tendency to not consider all of those who read but don't comment, but my email from a man in Italy, interested in volunteering, reminded me to show the love of Jesus in a more meaningful way. Terry, When I first joined this site, it was during a time when my husband had left me and I had moved across country to bring my daughter closer to family. I would read blogs in the middle of the night when I could not sleep. Much time has passed since then, the divorce is final, my daughter well, I am sleeping through the night, finished my degree and now finding a new meaning in life with a fabulous opportunity to spread Gods love to those in need. I have gained many friends from this site and am glad I came here. I am sorry that I missed your party last year, but it looks like I may be down there very soon to live. I hear on a job tomorrow. I also agree with Dundeal that unless it is bickering or fighting not many stop by any more. You are right, we need to remember that there are many that read our blogs and our words need to be chosen carefully. My recent blogs on the scammers have them stopping by and changing their tunes on here. I agree! There are many wonderful people here, in spite of the scammers and those who just want to fight. I am blessed daily by reading the blogs and miss so many that have left. You're moving to Florida? What part? I hope you get the answer you desire on the job! God bless you!
