Hey everybody! Since BigChurch is so lackadaisical about making their customers happy, let's ALL find a new place to go! The only reason I pay to be here is to blog and read and comment on all of my friend's posts. If I can't do that, I'm outta here! I don't care about senior friendfinders or gay friendfinders or amigo friendfinders, I just want to find the friends I've already made. Anyone got any suggestions? Know how you feel.... I've sent off my suggestions to the powers that be yesterday. I don't mind change, if it's going to improve on but not when they are spamming their own customers, which is what this site is now doing with the monster ads at the top of every page and with the other ads that pop up all over the place and over the top of what you are reading - we don't have those stores here in Aus so I really really don't want to know about the 'bargains' there. I think there must be someone on here who has the skills and abilities to set up their own site and we'll all come there One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple. It sure is frustrating, Terrie. I don't want to pay for a service I'm not getting. I understand they want to make improvements, but they do it without warning the paying customers, and also the glitches seem to take forever to fix. I can't even read beyond the first page so I've missed a lot of posts, and I don't think mine are even showing up! I have been to a lot of sites and I have to say this is the best blogging site. Maybe we could all just swamp management with letters of complaint? I mean, if they want our continued patronization, then they need to come to the party.  Penelope Captive of Hope

I've tried Shout Life and I've tried Plaxo Pulse with some of the other bloggers here - and it's fun for about a week - but it is formatted so much differently than BC - they don't make it as easy to communicate with your friends and the community you are in. It's like you can only communicate with the folks that are directly in your friend network and no one else. That's why I like BC. No - I don't like who owns BC - and I don't like the junk they put us through - but the set up is the best that I've seen to communicate easily within the that particular community. Hey - they just gave me two weeks free for writing a complaint letter to them - I was surprised. But if anyone can find a place that is equal to BC in the communicating and blogging part - I'm all for it. How can we NOT praise Him - Marilyn

Feeling pretty much the same as everyone else. Don't want to see the pics. they've put over the top of my profile  Not exactly Christian!  But the layout of the blogs here is easier than others. Any ideas of anywhere else Terrie? I've sent a strongly-worded email and called tech. support too. Isn't there anything we can do en masse?

How about ChristianMingle. I have thouroughly checked them out and they appear to be clean. Their format is a little different and not as free flowing. You have toi be a paying memeber but I am ready to do that rather than being subject to this treatment. * Sin is sin. Careful what comes across your lips & out your finger tips!!! * We are all the Body of Christ. Let's treat each other as such, with the same respect we give to HIM!! * Relationship advice: DO NOT make someone a PRIORITY, when they ONLY make you an OPTION!! * A woman's heart should be so lost in God, that a man has to seek HIM in order to find her!!

yes I came here to join in with the Blogs and it has been such a blessing, but I must admit, I find it difficult to want to pay my next months installment with the fact I cannot read the right hand side of people's profiles, because of the advertisments blocking the view. I have written to them to let them know, hopefully they can fix it. Where else do we GO? I don't like the fact of who owns the site either, but what else do we do?

I sent BC a message today about the ugly headers on all the pages and that we were all considering leaving because of it. So maybe if enough of us send in complaints they will do something??? I checked out Christianmingle but only with a free profile...so I don't know what they have to offer paying members...not sure I want to pay to just blog. But if everyone else exits BC to go there, then I certainly will. Hopefully BC will realize they have a product here that we can choose to purchase...or not. The changes, to me, are absolutely not an improvement...it is the same, to me, as getting all those stupid pop up ads on other sites...that's why I use a pop up blocker. I have never seen any other site do this...is BC having financial difficulties or something? He is no fool if he should choose to lose the things he cannot keep to gain what he can never lose.....Jim Elliott Deena

Yes Terrie, i am in full agreement with Marilyn on this, I like the set up that BC has, but not who owns it, also Petes comment, are we fleeing, no Terrie, where would we go, I have made many friends here, the Lord has brung them by and I can speak by phone to you and others. What about myspacedotcom? It's free and we can all have a form a new Christian group to participate in, right now there are some Christian groups on that site, as well as other groups that are not Christian, but it seems to me that it would be a good place to be and serve as witness to the entire site world wide (providing that we don't get banned) or to be there for those souls that would come across our Christian group? of course someone would have to think of a name for it, then we would all here have to agree on leaving this place at the same time and meet at the new one, well, that's just my two cents. Life is an adventure.

Greetings all; I have profiles on both MySpace and Hi5. Both are free, but I don't like Myspace because I get a lot of bogus interest messages there. However, Hi5 offers free membership, the ability to post on groups or create your own groups and no fees ever. Hi5 does not have blogs though, but perhaps you can create your own , I don't know.

Hi Terrie, I believe that I get all I've paid for. The new look and all those other annoyances don't really bother me much at all. Our format still seems to be intact. Where else would I go? I have made many wonderful friends here. Maybe I'm too easily content, but that's me. Now if the price should just happen to dramatically rise because of these other "attractions", that will be a different matter altogether. I'm glad you are still here. Greetings All, What part does Light have with darkness? Wish not Godspeed to a website that is filthy, for you become part of it's evil. The lesser of two evils, is still evil. Sad, I had to see about forty naked women before I got to post here, and that was after seeing another forty, just to get to this site, and another forty to get to the blogs. Are we not instructed to come out of her? This is not fleeing, but, becoming "Holy", "Separate". We have all known who owns this site, but until last week, they allowed us to commune, without intrusion. Not any more, as we are under attack, from them, at their site, that they own. It's been a good run, but sometimes you must shake the dust from your sandal as a testament. If you are willing to pay them, then you become part of what they do. This is why I never payed for this site, knowing to whom my money would go. I don't know about all of you, but my virus protections, and firewalls go crazy anymore, as I come here. My computer is blocking at least one hacker a day, and sometimes, more, in this past week, while coming to this site, and others. I just wonder how your computers are, and if yours have been compromised. I know, there must be a trace of some virus left in mine, as I have all pop ups blocked, with two virus programs, no plug-ins, and two fire walls, yet still, the filthy ads appear. I have recently been made aware of a plot to post false leads at youtube and myspace, that will actually download harmful programs to your computer, if you should try to view the link. The enemy does not like the truth that is coming out, and the push is on to shut down believers computers, for real. To much info is coming out across the web. Did any of you not think this day would come? Think on this, that maybe this is a warning, to get local, and off the "NET", as we all know there would be a time coming by the anti, and his, to attack saints, so they can be harvested out of season. This site is now babel. This site's parent is a big whore. To those who are of Him, come out of her, for the fight, is at the door step. Or, just stay where you are, and keep giving power to the parent of this site. It is your choice after all, but as for me, I will finish what I started here this week, and then you will never see me here again. I go now to the one site I have belonged to for over ten years, that is still a safe haven, but I can not invite you, for you must be lead to it, from a pure heart. And Terri, tell me if what "John Todd" spoke about is true, as you are the only one that I have meet, that may have met and known of him. I'll be back when I can this week, to dodge the fiery darts once again, here, for the last time. No King but CHRIST JESUS!!!

I've tried numerous other formats - Christian Mingle and Single Christians Network are primarily dating sites, with the blogging aspect very secondary and not well formatted. MySpace - ok for connections, but no way to 'see' everything in one spot like here. I could go on and on, however, despite all the flaws to BC, and the ownership, this is the best place to blog I've seen. And, as Christians sharing the faith we are a witness in the midst of the darkness! I started to leave early on when I heard about the owners, then thought "we are to be IN the world, and not of it. We can be here on BigChurch preaching the gospel, uplifting one another and sharing laughs and love." Who knows who might be reading what we're writing? And when we complain about things that offend our Christian values, I think that also sends a powerful message. So, even though I'm not around as much right now due to other stuff in life, I will stay here as long as there are friends to talk to! BTW my watched post list was deleted (grrrr) so I'm trying to rebuild it. Thanks for the thought provoking post Terrie! Susan aka Red God gives the very best to those who leave the choices to Him. I used to belong to Christianmingle.com...had a life time membership that was a gift from a friend. A year ago when I moved to Florida I couldn't go online for about 3 months. When I got back on line I had an email from Christianmingle stating my "LIFETIME" membership was no longer valid because I hadn't logged in for 90 days. They would not repeal their decision and I refuse to pay a monthly rate! Some "Christian" site they are! So BC is probably best if you don't really care about looking at profiles and just want to blog and talk to friends like you've already met. Prayer causes Faith to work!

I've been experimenting since I originally responded to this post. I'm now on Facebook, and I also blog at a free spot that is only for blogging. No 'dating' attached. I can link my blog to Facebook so my posts show up there. Folks can comment and respond. My Facebook is set to show me when friends add posts, comments or notes to their site - so that provides the interaction we enjoy here. Also, Facebook has a 'notes' section that can be used for blogging if one doesn't want a full fledged blogging site. I've found 4 BC friends on Facebook thus far - it would be great to have more! It takes some experimenting, but it's a great solution! And free! Susan aka Red God gives the very best to those who leave the choices to Him.
