Congratulations to the nation of Mexico!!(home of my ancestors)

Wow,199 years of independence!!

And guess who was responsible for starting the revolution against Spain??

None other than a Spanish Catholic priest!

Yup,say what you want about Catholics, but in my book, they are allright!

as our Secratary of State,Hillary Clinton said yesterday,

"VIVA MEXICO!!"

today there are sceduled parades in every major city in the U.S.A,

only Dallas will have to cancel, due to bad weather conditions.

and again i say;

"Y QUE VIVA MEXICO!!!QUE VIVA LA REVOLUCION!!!"

Hi Hellen!

No,i didnt have a chance do "EL Grito"at any parades, i have been really busy trying to pick the school the Texas Workforce is planning on sending me to,(turns out, there may be other better options than medical booking and coding for me,the school coordinator was telling me yesterday that i might be better suited for computer hardware and network repair).supposably the pay rate can get very high in that field.

then plus my mom needed me to take her to exchange an iron she had recently purchased, then we went out to our favorite Chinese restaurant.(she paid of course, being that i am unemployed)

Here in San Antonio Texas, the celebration hits it peek actually on the evening of the 15th of september.

i guess in someways, you can actually be busier when you are trying to get employed.than when you actually are employed!

blessings to you Hellen!

awww,i am glad you like Mexican food.

i have a couple of recipies that, well i dont like to brag, but are simply delicious!

and i didnt even learn them from the women in my family!

one is called "carnitas"

i know Houston has fantastic Mexican restaurants, but you really need to taste my recipie some time!

it has a very delicious flavor to it,
plus i have my homemade salsa, when you put it on the freshly made carnitas,it is really, really good!

oh,and then you can put slices of avacado on fresh hot corn tortillas, and then i have a unique spanish rice recipie too!

my mouth is watering just thinking about it,i really need to make it for you one of these days!

Hey I'm game. I grew up on Mexican food and must say that there are regional differences between the stuff I grew up on in Arizona and the stuff they have here in Houston. We use green chiles much more in Arizona and they do much more seafood due to the proximity of the gulf here in the Houston area. The flour tortillas in Arizona are also much thinner and larger than I can get here.

Yup, I sure know about being very busy in looking for work! God bless you in your search. And yes, in Mexico too the celebrations happen full force on the evening of the 15th...with a major 'grito' at midnite...

its true,

region definately does affect the styles of Mexican food one may find.

my dad had a Restaurant in Monterrey Mexico for about 15 years.

he sold alot of "carne milanesa" "cebolla asada",and "frijoles borrachos",and they only sell corn tortillas over there.

the food was delicious!
