Give Thanks to the Lord!

The wind is so blustery today, it's blow your hat off kind of weather lol. The sound of the wind comes down the chimney and it sounds even louder....yikes!

The leaves are dancing, swishing here and there, no particular direction; it's raining leaves!!

I do love weather; Brits have a bit of an obsession with it, seeing as we have all seasons in one day, most days lol. It's exciting, to get up and not know what it's like out there. Yesterday was balmy for the time of year, beautifully sunny and today it poured down and now we have this howling gale.It makes me want to sit by the fire with tea and crumpets, watching songs of Praise.

I love sunday afternoon/evenings...we usually have a dramatisation of something wonderful like Jane Austin's 'Emma' on TV. It's a special day...singing with the worship team at church in the morning and drinking in the word. Then sunday lunch, then a little nap if I'm fortunate enough .

God is so good, we are so priviledged in this country, we have freedom of speech, most of us have enough to eat and a roof over our heads. We can still have difficulties re finances etc, but God provides for our needs, we need to just trust Him with our lives. Thank you Father for Your generosity, for Your grace. Thank you!!

We need to take the time out to think of those who suffer, who are starving, who do not have the things that we can sometimes take for granted.

Father, I pray for all those who are suffering in this world, for the lost, the sick and the lonely, I pray that you will bless them Lord. help us Father, to be generous to others, as You are with us, if we see need, lead us to help, to minister and to love those that are struggling in whatever way. Let them see the peace of the Lord within us, that Your beacon of light may shine into this often dark world. Amen.

Amen and Amen. I think of these often, and thank God for all the blessings and our daily bread. GBU

Romans 14 verse 5 One person regards one day holier than other days, and another regards them all alike. 3 Each must be fully convinced in his own mind.

Hi, Rhonda. Hey, Izzster. It is raining leaves here too. Betsy is covered. She is supposed to be Charcoal Gray Metallic, Well, at least the sides still are. Could be white on the top! LOL.

Yes, we ARE truly blessed and we SHOULD give thanks! I join with you in a prayer for the less fortunate. Hope you got a nap. Nuttin' worse than a grumpy Henglish!

Hi Steve, thanks for stopping by...you should put a plastic cover on Betsy to protect her from stuff lol. I did get a nap, thanks...The Henglish can be a bit grumpy, but we usually have a self deprecating dry wit, which makes up for the grumpiness .

Thank you Terrie, I did have a nap . In fact I slept a lot today too, sleep problems, possibly sleep apnoea, so my night time sleep is disturbed, thus making me as tired when I wake up as I am when I go to bed. I am seeing a specialist soon, so hopefully it will get sorted out. God bless xx
