Glass Shower Doors Are Not Made of Safety Glass

I'm pickin' all the small pieces of glass off my legs & feet. I slipped more than two feet outside the tub. I'm not sure how the shower door got shattered. My left leg took most of the cuts but my hands & feet need bandaids, too. And I'm suppose to go out tonight!!

Oh no. Bet that hurts. I got cut on a ketchup bottle once and landed on my knee into the glass. It festered for months before I convinced my doctor there was something in there. This story has a purpose behind it. Please go see your doctor. The bad news is they can't see glass in an x-ray, so it's important it's cleaned out before your cuts heal over.

Thank God he spared you more serious injury! Hope you heal quickly!

is this an opening to a law suit?

Can't imagine anyone rejecting you just because you got bang up a bit.

I'm trying hard to think of a good scripture 4 this, but I keep drawing a blank.

Sooooo, I do hope your not hurt too bad, and I hope you will heal well too. Blessings Ms.

Actually he made an appointment for me at my insistence, and then when the appointment came, he tried to dissuade me before he cut into the skin. When it was done, I thanked him, and he said he always listens to the patient.

Well, it's my house and my shower. I don't think there's any use in suing myself!

Actually...there's a potential lawsuit for less than sufficiently safe glass being used by the manufacturer. A bodily injury liability claim could realistically be put through your hosuehold insurance policy, if your policy covers that. If that's the case, you pay your insurance deductible, and the insurance company does the work of recovering payouts from the insurance company covering the manufacturer. At least that's the way it's done in Canada.

ahhhhh, but that is the beauty of it,

you see by suing yourself, its as if you are sending a message,

its almost like being a pioneer, think of some of the great pioneers of our time!

i mean they could have easily said,
"yes, but this has never been done before!"

you see,by suing yourself a 50/50 chance of winning!!

i mean, you have to like those odds!!

Enjoy your tea!

All cuts were tiny - just many of them! The worst was on my hand - hardly bled at all but a small flap of skin was opened. I just went dancing. A bandaid won't stay on my palm so I danced through the sting. I'll be as good as new by Wednesday.

Please be careful, I'm glad you didn't get cut really bad. When you replace the shower door, make sure its made of tempered glass or acrylic.

The manufacturer? They are very old sliding doors, maybe 20 years old. What if the manufacturer is out of business??

Probably you should check to see if your policy has coverage for personal injury. In effect, you can recover from the insurance company over an accident even if you were at fault, if there's in fact anything to claim for, i.e. what have you lost. That would include payment for pain and suffering, loss of wages, Dr. bills and medical aides, etc. It's up to your insurer if they will seek subrogation against another party, ie. the mfr.

I'm not the litigious type. It doesn't fit my idea of doing unto others... And here in the US insurance companies drop people for many reasons. I'd rather save my claim for something big.
