Many of you here in the States know who Bill Maher is as a policitcal satireist with a cable show called "Real Time". If any of you seen this show you can expect the very same arrgaonce and crude mocking remarks from Mr. Maher in regards to anything having to do with reglion since he was born from a Jewish mother and Catholic father raised in his fathers church but left once an adult and is now a devote atheist.

This shouldn't surprise anyone seeing that "the natural man cannot understand the things of God because he is spiritual dead to them" Bill continualy tries to make fun of things like a snake talking to Adam & Eve, God being able to listen to the prayers of 6 billion people all at the same time, the great worldwide flood of Noah's day and to think all the animals and insects of the world could possibly all fit into the ark amoung other things.

Well he like almost all the achademic world must then come up with their fairly tales to explain how we find fish fossils on all the mountains of the world and in the great plains such as found throughout the midwest of the U.S.

Bottome line is that both belife in God and evolution require faith to except for the world to be as we see it today. Make no mistake about that faith is require by the so called experts with all the degrees and titles behind their names that have led the world into the false fable of evolution because there is yet to be found one shred of evideance in the millions of fossil remains on record to show just one fish, bird, animal, human evoling into another kind!!!

what is comes down if you simply state what the Bible says and those who hold to it believe and what the evolultioist say if you remove all smoke and mirrors that these evolutionists try to throw out at you with an endless cycle of fables and theories being taught through their endless cycle of books and lectures and boil it down to an equation is this......First the Christian [some others too who are not] believe that.... in the beggining God spoke everything into existance! does that take faith to believe??? Yes it does!!

Where as the evolutionist believes that.... zero times nothing plus nobody equals everything!!! Now does that faith to believe also??? You better believe it does and a whole lot more than what is required by us don't you think??? I mean come on isn't it easier to know and belive that their is God who is all powerful and all knowing and can simply speak things and whatever He desires comes into exsistance??? Isn't that more reasonable than to think zippo times nothing plus noone is the answer to all we see in the universe and world today??? You bet it is!!! Truly the fool as said in his heart there is no God!!! ...ps Larry Charles is a movie and tv director behind some of the episodes of the tv shows Borat, Seinfield, Larry David show, Entourage. etc, etc, you get the gist of where;s he's coming from

Comments from the NPR CommunityI have never felt as shocked or as insulted as I did after listening to Bill Maher's intolerant, condescending and hateful remarks about people of faith. ...Many Christians, Buddhists and Muslims are not only people of faith, but are highly intelligent NPR listeners and supporters.

Maher can really draw some ire. ... [But he] is entitled to his opinion. You may not agree and may not appreciate his opinion, but the great thing about this country is the freedom to exchange our ideas. It disturbs me that some would wish to silence him. Surely these people would not, themselves, wish to be silenced?

18% of the U.S. population are "non-believers" - agnostics, atheists and none of the above. In our Congress there are 0% representing this group. This is not believable - generally the higher the education level, the less one relies on fantastical beliefs.

Fresh Air from WHYY, September 30, 2008 · If you're familiar with the work of political satirist Bill Maher, you probably know that he thinks religion has done way more harm than good in the world.

In his new film, Religulous — a satirical documentary in which Maher travels to religious sites around the world, ranging from the Vatican and Jerusalem to a Muslim gay bar in Amsterdam and a Christian theme park in Orlando, Fla. — he describes religion as "dangerous."

Directed by Larry Charles, the new documentary offers a satirical — and very critical — take on organized religion and the leaps certain varieties of faith can sometimes require.

At one point, Religulous suggests that "religion must die for mankind to live;" Maher and Charles discuss the film, and their own thoughts on religion, with Fresh Air's Terry Gross, who asks Maher if in the process of responding to religious extremism, he hasn't perhaps become an anti-religious extremist.

"I believe in the doctrine of I Don't Know," Maher responds. "To say 'I don't know' about the afterlife is the only reasonable, and also humble, opinion you can hold."

Maher, the child of a Jewish mother and Catholic father, grew up in his father's church, but has cast aside organized religion as an adult. He suggests that the idea of a personal god who responds to prayer, who performs miracles and battles evil in an active way, is the result of "a long, 2,000-year-old game of Telephone" — and that belief in such a god is by definition extreme.

"The message of Jesus," on the other hand, "is not only beautiful but revolutionary," Maher stresses. "The idea that the meek shall inherit the earth, and that the poor and the powerless have just as much dignity as the powerful and the rich, that was a very new idea at the time — and it has not gone out of style."

The shame, Maher argues, is that that message gets lost amid what he describes as "the magic tricks and the bells and whistles and the nonsense" of organized religion.

In a recent New York Times article Maher described organized religion as "the ultimate hustle," and he likened his role in the film to that of Toto, the dog who pulls back the curtain to expose the shortcomings of the Wizard in The Wizard of Oz.

Maher is best known as the host of the HBO show Real Time With Bill Maher; Charles' credits include Borat (which he directed) and the TV programs Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Bill Maher is wise in his own eyes. He lives in darkness just as every other unregenerated fool on earth who has rejected God. His intellect is so idiotic that even I am embarrassed for him. The same goes for the evolutionists, and those people who would attempt to bring this foolish teaching into the Church. It is nothing short of apostasy.

It is not judging to call Bill Maher and everyone else like him a fool, scripture has already judged him. The Bible has much to say about fools, if you look in a concordance you will see literally dozens of passages describing fools, here are just a few:

The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. Psm.14:1

5] O Lord, how great are thy works! and thy thought are very deep.
6] A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.
Psm.92:5,6

The wise man's eyes are in head; but the fool walketh in darkness: and I myself perceived also that one event happeneth to them all.
Ec.2:14

The wise in heart will receive commandments: but the prating fool shall fall. Prov.10vs8

The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise. Prov.12:15

Every prudent man dealeth with knowledge: but a fool layeth open his folly. Prov.13:16

A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident. Prov.14:16

A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul. Prov. 18vs7

8] The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit.
9] Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.
Prov. 14:8,9

Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
I Cor.1:20

I remember years ago he used to have a young Christian woman on his shows & he would debate with her & always try to put her down.He was always so arrogant & tried to belittle her every chance he got but she on the other hand was always gracious, sweet and firm in standing up for the truth and her belief in Christ.
