Et tu Brute? Benjamin Netanyahu was sworn in today as Israel's Prime Minister returning to a post he held a decade ago and with no explicit commitment to the internationaly backed goal of Palestinian statehood. "The government I am forming will do its utmost to achieve a just and lasting peace with all our neighbors and the Arab world in general,"Netanyahu told parliment yesterday.But in that address Netanyahu again made no mention of the establishment of a Palestinian state alongside Israel,which is the main goal of peace efforts backed by its ally the United States. Perhaps having lived for years in close proximity with terrorists and having had their bombs fall on his country while "they sought peace"has given Netanyahu a different perspective on this matter. Jeremiah6:14 They dress the wound of my people as if it were not serious. 'Peace,peace,'they say,when their is no peace. The administration of U.S.President Barak Obama wants Israel to freeze construction in the West Bank and is considering cutting U.S.loan guarantees to penalize Israel and to show Netanyahu's government that Washington is serious about Israel closing settlements and agreeing to a Two-State solution. After having been a friend of Israel for decades this is what it has come to. Et tu,Brute? How dare President Obama strong arm Israel into ceding land for peace when only a fool would believe this is a workable solution while terrorists still run Gaza and are backed by Iran and their ultimate goal is the complete destruction of Israel.God help America,the land of the misguided. |

Thanks,I'm not worried though for I know Christ claimed the victory & so do we through Jesus & whatever happens it is because God allows it to & it all will be used for His glory in the end.It does saddens me as I watch things unfold though.

loki, Don't worry, even if Israel pushed out everyone because they seem to be more civilized, syria, and other nations will still launch rockets. It will never end. Maybe the UN and EU should create some buffer states surrounding Israel that don't include muslims or jews, but again terrorists will find another reason to attack the buffer states. A civilized power state should take over a great part of the middle east and keep weapons from being used in these small wars. when the cat is away the mouse will play. only a superpower can bring order. Maybe russia and china could stop selling weapons in that region, and the western powers should stop make that part of the world more armed too. Everyone is to blame. The world will never learn. Mark
