Matthew15:11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth man;but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. Ephesians4:29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Matthew15:17-20 Do not yet ye understand that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly and is cast out in the draught? But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart and they defile the man;for out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornification, thefts, false witness, blasphemies. These are the things which defile a man... Jesus teaches that when one curses or uses profanity it is a sign of evil that is in a mans heart.Lots of people seem to be cursing in this world today and they do not see it as the evil condition of their heart. The Bible says cursing will defile the whole man/woman if not repented of and stopped. One can certainly see that cursing is used to vent anger and also to put other people down and is used as a way to demean people. As these words are neither uplifting or edifying it is the devil who inspires people to curse and call people derogatory names. If we are followers of Christ and want edify the Lord by others who might be seeking Him or even be taken seriously by other Christians we need to learn to tame the tongue. We do not have to use curse words or put downs to emphasize what we mean as not only will this defile the person doing it and no one will take the persons intent as anything but corrupt.A believer in Christ does not continuously praise God on one side of the mouth and then curse our brothers on the other side. Our speech will always indicate what is in our hearts. And this is uncharacteristic of a true believer filled with the Holy Spirit of God.We have not been called to mediocracy but have been called to greatness and we are called to glorify God in all we do. One needs to pray in sincerity and think humbly before they speak and ask themselves if this is edifying to others or the body of Christ. If not it is better to refrain from talking at all til one can at least talk in a civil manner. Colosians3:8 But now ye also put off all these:anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.Lie not to one another seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created Him. Matthew12:34-36 O generation of vipers, how can ye,being evil speak good things?for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things;and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they should give account thereof in the day of judgement. James3:9-12 With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men,who have been made in Gods likeness.Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives,or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water. Psalm19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart,be acceptable in thy sight,O Lord,my strength, and my redeemer. |

. . .
. . . As long as there is breath in the body, there is hope for the soul it bares. Fail as I may, attempting to be consistent, saved by grace unto good works, are you? When we were redeemed, we were called to make disciples, raising them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord, so they in turn may do likewise. Saying I am sorry is WORTHLESS without real repentance. True or FALSE ? Without a personal and intimate relationship with God, how can you ever realize the true identity and person of God? Continue to be faithful, deliverance is near, obedience must be seen, be an unconditional blessing as He continues to bless you. This time is short, serve Him well, serving all. Without exception. Know ? Yes ? ? . Indescribeable Meow? ![]() .
