You sought support anyway you thought you could with the appearance of doing an innoncent poll, tisk tisk...
You under estimate the intelligence of very member here.
The word of God discerns the intent of the heart.
Man looks on the outward appearance but God looks on the heart.

I say that it is our reltionship to God that defines us as Christians.
We were born again into the family of God, recieving the spirit of sonship. I am not ashamed to say I don't know the difinitive answer to the question,"can you lose your salvation." A practical answer to that question should be,"Why would you want to find out?"

I tend to think that if you are truly born again, you will look more and more like Jesus as you grow up. I believe that our Heavenly Father continues to love us if we fall into sin just as he did before
we were saved by grace. I believe that in all things he works for our good, our maturity. I also believe people will give up on us long before God will. Isn't that the point of the story of the prodigal son? I don't believe it it is God's desire that any should perish, but that all should be saved.

But we are given a free will, since real obedience cannot exist without it. There will come a point when the two camps of humanity
will will be set.

"There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, "Thy will be done," and those to whom God says, "All right, then, have it your way."

I have a hard time with the thought that once we are born into the family of God that we could be unborn, but I refuse to be dogmatic about it. I will simply say that I don't know and continue to do my best to be a good son.

"Once Saved Always Saved" sure didn't apply to the church of Laodicea. The Spirit told that church to be zealous and repent before they got vomited out. The church is the bride of Christ, and just like in any marriage, a certain type of behavior is expected of the participants.

O.k if you are really confident in yourself then interpret Romans 11:6 word for word and Acts 15 verse by verse. The book of Galatians you avoid like the plague but yet you speak so highly of yourself.
Proverbs 27:2 Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips.

First off: the question(s) are asked improperly due to the Scriptural misquote for "once saved always saved". The Scripture reads, "For by Grace you have been saved through Faith; and not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not as a result of works that no one should boast." (Eph 2. 8-9, NAS) Our Faith guarantees us a place in heaven. Our Works depict our Faith, as James says: "Show me your works, I'll show you your Faith." And, again, "Faith without works is dead Faith."
What God is saying is without Faith, we cannot please Him. We please Him more by allowing our Faith to work out in our lives. What did God say He wanted to see displayed by Faith? "To care for the orphans and homeless, those who are widows indeed." Jesus said "What you do to the least of my children you do to me." So, allow the Spirit to lead you and live out your Faith by doing what we are told, not to haggle over words or philosophies or mislead and cause some to doubt. But build in hope, increase the Faith and allow room for the Spirit to grow.

When someone receives Christ and become a son of God, how can someone undo to become not the son of God??? John 1:12. Once you have been born to be a son or a daughter of your parents how can you in your further walk and life being a good or a bad boy/girl not stay to be a son or daughter from your parents?????
I hope this is simple enough for them who are confused in this matter.
Once born to be the son/daughter of God you can't undo it no matter what you will be doing later on. We confuse our rewards for doing the works of Christ and our Eternal Salvation here. The rewards we can lose/gain sure. but never ever your Salvation or being a son of God by rebirth.
Many that sleep in the Dust of the Earth shall awake, some to everlasting shame and contempt and some to everlasting life. daniel 12. Sure all of born-again Christians will be saved. but will it be in Glory or in Shame??? Did you reach heaven only by the Stench of your Christianity??

The story of the prodical son is clear that no matter what you have done the Father will still forgive and you will still be his son. I believe you misinterpret showing your faith by your works with the eternal crown that is laid for us when we run the race that is set before us. The crown our works, either works of the flesh or works of the spirit, is the reward, that surely you can loose when you don't live a christian life. There is also parable that Jesus said about being punished with more beatings when they that know the Father's will but do it not. Then Heaven can surely be a lot more of Hell than Hell can be. Because you received Salvation, the price that Christ has paid for you with His Blood, something you don't have to go thru i.e. the spiritual death, you entered heaven but you don't feel like giving anything back to Him. and in turn you live a horrendous life with the Helmet of Salvation Pinned eternally to your head. In Rev. it says that there will be tears in heaven, but they will eventually be wiped away. But still they are tears of deep regret of what you have done with your life while on earth. If only the good people who are going to go to heaven, because they have received Christ and done their christian duties on earth, whether it be good works thru own works or led by the HG, then in a way you can boast yourselves and say I earned it Lord, now you must let me in, because I choose, I did it, it is my own will to show my faith and love in you by my works. Eph.2:8.
In Romans Paul said If it be of works than it is no more by Faith, and if it be by Faith then it is no more works, otherwise faith wouldn't be faith and works wouldn't be works.
I agree with you that there are quite a few puzzling things that interpretation of scriptures can be tipped the other way. This is not a posting to try to convince you, because I believe that even God won't be able to convince you as you have made up your mind to thinking this way and I comply to that and you are entitled to your belief system and hope that you would stay on seeing the big picture that we are here commissioned with a job of reaching them that have not the knowledge of Rebirth thru Christ our Lord and Saviour. I am posting this mainly for the ones that are still having to make a decision. If it is also of works IMHO Christ has died for us in vain.
Before Christ was on earth people also received salvation by faith. Can you imagine if it is also of works, I believe King David would not have stand a single chance of entering heaven after all the horrible deeds he did. He was still a favorite in God's eyes. Reason because first of all he had great faith in God's great and Mighty Love and forgiveness inspite of David's horrendous attrocities he committed. God looks more in bigger in pictures and inside people's eyes. Nonetheless what I am saying is not a free ticket to do what you please, I am really convinced that you will reap what you have sown which is equally to the law of gravity. You jump off a high building you will surely fall and get hurt badly or worse. You deliberately live a horrible life you will reap the consequenses also.

(Quote HolyMagi)Too many Christian authorities want to ignore this!! Why?
I'll tell you why... it would affect they way Jesus is
preached from the pulpit in a dogmatic manner so as to
sound pretty in words and on paper... when in reality
you must be doers of the Word... Mathew 7:24-29

Turn it the other way round too, if you don't go to Church every Sunday, you can loose your salvation and you go to hell. This is what most of the churches thru the ages have done. They sell letter of "Indulgencies" you have paid for your salvation of your good works of building this Cathedral. Go to the Crusades this is your sign that you have works the good works of God and you will automatically earned your way to heaven. So the established religion can use it this way too, to suppress people to do goodie, goodie things to help Christ to help you to go to heaven.
