Content with the bare minimum to just squeak in the gate ?

So many say the Jesus

did it all at the

Cross and there

is nothing we

need to do

at all,

just

live

?

What is the bare minimum an ungrateful slave can do?

What is the bare minimum a non thankful servant can do?

What is the bare minimum can a spoiled brat child can do?

Are we just required to be saved and then exist until we die, only picking and choosing what we want and expecting the world, for as children of the King, we are entitled to it all?

When and if there are conditions in the Bible to receive the promises of God, what is required of the believer, what is asked of us?

Some are free gifts, the others we are expected to ...

If we want to be disciples of a living God, what is required of us?

The same as those that exist and are saved?

Is there a distinct difference between the two?

Should there be?

All are called, but who heeds the call for the balance of their life, to the best of their human ability?

Why does it seem not all want an intimate and personal relationship with their Heavenly Father?

Do eternal fire insurance only policies exist?

How does God view spiritual children that remain that way for the balance of their lives?

Those that have a long balance to their lives, after the point of Salvation?

Why do so many, too many appear to grieve the Holy Spirit in these matters?

What is wrong with the average believer?

The passion has faded.

The hunger has passed.

The thirst is gone.

They have given up.

Waiting for . . .

Worthless.

Too many.

So many.

Why now?

Without a personal and intimate relationship with God, how can you ever realize the true identity and person of God?

Continue to be faithful, deliverance is near, obedience must be seen, be an unconditional blessing as He continues to bless you.

This time is short, serve Him well, serving all.

I think you hit the nail on the head...they have lost their passion, lost the love for God that they had at first, and have taken for granted the great price that was paid. I think Jesus summed it up in the parable of the sower in Matthew 13. But God will reward the diligent seeker, not the casual observer, with more of Him...anything He asks of us is more than worth it. You have to love Him more than self.

Quite honestly, we should all be out on the hiways and biways compelling them to come in.

We should be reaching out to the homeless, elderly, etc and extending hands of friendship.

All the first disciples gave their lives for their Savior, and were persecuted severely.

I wonder how many would still be Christians if they had to go through that?

Why bother trying to do what God say if you leave out the commandment that identifies Him as the true and living God?

Buddhists can refrain from stealing, lying, etc.. so can New Agers.

The Sabbath seals the Law as a Governor would seal his law.... and shows whose law it is. Lord, God, Maker of heaven and earth.

Why do you call Me Lord, Lord, and dont do what I say?

Mt:15:9: But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

1Jn:2:4: He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

HIS commandments. Not yours, not the Pope's.

You can do all the good works you want but are you any better than a Buddhist? or a Hindu? or a New Ager? they think they should love their neighbor too.

Jn:15:14: Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
