Keep Me In Your Prayers

My brothers and sisters, after almost 42 years of smoking I am quitting. Today is my 2nd day without a cigarette and I am doing really well. I got a perscription for Chantix on April 6th and started taking them that day. I am really very excited about this. I hope that you will all keep me in your prayers. I realize that 2 days is not much but each journey starts with only one step and for any of you who are former smokers you know just how long 2 days without a cigarette really is. I know that the Lord will make me victorious as long as I trust in Him. Please just bear me up to Him in your prayers.

OK! Will be praying! haven't heard from you in a while; good to see you back, although you don't look particularly heathy

Blessings,
Merry

cecelia, you were in my mind within just a day or so ago. i was wondering what had happened to you. like if you'd found something else to do. and here you are! i went through this. and it was by faith that i was able to quit. it was really quite amazing. in His love, sharon

Hey girlfriend. I started Chantix on the 4th but I'm not doing as well as you. I have gone from 2 packs a day to about a half a pack a day. That is something! I'm gonna' get there, just you wait and see.

In response to all of the above comments, thank you all for your support.

Merry, thank you especially for the smile. Fortunately I haven't come to look that bad yet and won't by the grace of God.

Elizabeth, I had already cut down from two packs a day to one since the new $1.00 a pack tax was instituted in January here in Texas so I had a head start. I went from a pack to a half a pack during that first week on the Chantix.

Sharloa, I am praying that my finances will now soon become such that I can get my computer repaired (again), get my phone turned back on and get my internet access back so that I can come back home here to BC where all my family are. I have missed you all so very badly.

Today is day four, praise God, and I am doing well.

Congratualtions!! I know how difficult it is. I quit two and a half years ago, cold turkey. It is one of the hardest things to do, but I feel so much better now!! God bless you, Candi
