Got this e-mail from my daughter concerning my 10 year old grandson who is in 4th grade. Last year when he took his 3rd grade exit tests he scored a 99 on one and a 100 on the other making him in the top 1% in the state of Texas. I am so proud of him. So I wanted to share this with all of you. Please keep him in your prayers.

Hey!! I just got a letter from Marshall's school stating that he is in the top 10th percentile of his grade and has therefore been nominated to participate in the Duke TIP (Talent Identification Program). I read through the brochure and it sounds excellent. From what I understand, they send out materials throughout the year that will challenge him academically. He also has the chance to enter a writing contest next year for a cash prize as well as take the EXPLORE test ( a test designed for 8th graders) to see how he performs on that grade level. If he scores in the 99th percentile on that he will receive a medal.

The cost of the program is $25, which is waived since he qualifies for the free/reduced lunch program. I have been waiting for someone to acknowledge his ability and it has finally happened!! Thank God for this!! I hope it is something that will challenge him and help get him on track as far as doing his homework!!

Don't you know that I praise God for my many blessings. All of my grandchildren are very healthy and intelligent. My children were also very blessed with high intelligence, must have gotten it from their dad!!!!! LOL

I will most definitely do that. I always tell all my friends about my grandchildren's accomplishments and then relay their supportive comments back to the children. I know that it helps them to know that there are people they don't even know who know of them and pray for them and their success in life. Such gifts are invaluable.

Sorry its taken me so long to get to visit your blog... Ive been waylaid of late.
That is such a happy and wonderful news post about your grandson Cecilia !!! I can see the swelling of your proud grandmomma's chest from here and your smile is lighting up the world !!!
Gosh, I have missed you woman, sooo much.
I was starting to get anxious about you and asked "where is Cecilia, where has she gone..... " lol.

Hey guess what... I found out too, that I am a (step)grandma of three beautiful children, to Fernnado's daughter from his previous marriage.
Yep !!!! Ive always loved her as my own, but sadly, through her mother's difficulties of attitude, she was estranged from us for the last couple of years before Fernando died. About a month or so ago, she contacted me with some beautiful words, saying that she has missed me and the children, and wanted to re-establish a relationship with us! And this, was part of Fernandos dying wish and prayer. I cannot tell you how much I am rejoicing in that - who says that God doesnt answer prayer huh ??? So, the whole point of my whole blab (somethings never change lol) is that Im a grandma tooooo !!!! yep yep anddd yeppp. And dont it feel good !!!
