Caribbean Cruise

Hey, everybody, hope you will all forgive my absence these past two weeks as I have been on a cruise in the Caribbean. NO KIDDING!!!!

I was called on Thursday the 5th of October and invited to go on a cruise but had to leave that day to go to San Antonio. We left Houston on Saturday the 7th and returned to Houston on Saturday the 14th. I stayed in San Antonio until this morning (Wednesday the 18th) and got back home this afternoon.

I had the most wonderful time. We went to Progresso, Mexico, Cozumel, Mexico and Belize City, Belize. I have never had a vacation in my life before now and boy, what a way to be introduced to vacations.

If you have never gone a cruise, then go, I recommend it highly.

The weather was beautiful and I watched dolphins and flying fish through the portholes of the cabin. The water was the most incredible colors of blue and green I have ever seen, absolutely stunning. In Belize, I stood on the pier and watched the dolphins not twenty feet from me playing and feeding.

The food was absolutely wonderful. I ate lobster for the first two nights and ate calamari and escargot for the first time in my life. Both were delicious.

I even performed while on board in the talent contest for passengers on Thursday night, for the other passengers and some of the crew. I didn't win, of course, but had a wonderful time.

As soon as I get my pictures developed I will get some of them posted so that you can all see them. Meanwhile, this is a picture of the cruise ship we were on, the Norwegian Dream.

Caroline, thank you so much. It truly was an incredible blessing. I have been on an emotional roller coaster for a few months now, as you probably know from my blog entries, and this was the perfect opportunity to get away from everything. No phone or internet, no one knocking on the door, just God, me, my friend and the big, beautiful ocean. I left all my troubles and worries behind for a while and just rested, enjoyed the beauty of God's creation. It was something I needed badly, and God provided abundantly, above and beyond all I could imagine or think.

Thank you so much, Sis, It was a wonderful blessing and one I will never forget, for sure. I too am glad to be back. Please keep me in your prayers, as all the things I left behind for a brief time were waiting here for me when I returned. Life goes on and Satan never takes a vacation.

Thank you, sis, I did have a wonderful time, and was so truly refreshed and renewed. And yes, now back to reality, but with new strength. The last few months have been very draining, but God has provided a time of renewal for me and the battle has already begun anew. But I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!

I'm dancing around the room cause we have the best Father! What an unexpected treat for a deserving daughter!!!!!!

Men never commit evil so fully and joyfully as when they do it for religious convictions.

Thanks, sis, for forgiving me. It all happened so suddenly. As I said, I got the call on Thursday and had to leave that evening for a 14 hour bus trip to San Antonio. Arrived in San Antonio on Friday and had to repack everything and got very little rest as we had to leave there by 6:30 am for the drive to Houston to make the 11:00 am boarding deadline. I didn't have time to get in touch with many people, just my kids and those who took care of my babies here at the house (my animals that is). It was such a tremendous blessing for me.

Girl, I knew you were being sassy, but I love you so much, you and all of my other siblings here at BC, and am so grateful for the love that I receive here in return. I am so grateful that so many of you noticed my absence, I had several e-mails waiting for me upon my return, wondering where I was at. God has been so good to me by providing me with each and every one of you for support and edification. I am so blessed.
