THE CONSEQUENCES OF A TONGUE

How many of us are quick to spout off the first thing that comes to our minds?

How many of us think that we have the truth and are dead set to defend it no matter the consequences?

How many of us do not bother to stop and seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit before putting in our two cents, storming forward to defend what we believe with righteous indignation as our battle cry?

Perhaps a read of the following post will cool your blood-thirst.

Bite Your Tongue, Rather Than

Ephesians 6:13 . . .and having done all, to stand

No problem, dear brother. We all need to be reminded, all too often.

I often do think something over and pray on it for a few days before I speak on it. When I don't, there's often regrets.

I know there are many who do and I am thankful for you all. This just hurt me so deeply I could not help but "do" something to perhaps get others to see it. Maybe even think twice before writing something that could hurt someone else.

I put this on Mya's post and so thought I would put it here also. I've been listening to "Healing Rain" written and sung by Michael W. Smith a lot lately and it's my prayer that all of BC will experience God's Healing Rain. Here are the words:

Healing rain is coming down
It's coming nearer to this old town
Rich and poor, weak and strong
It's bringing mercy it won't be long

Healing rain is coming down
It's coming closer to the lost and found
Tears of joy and tears of shame
Are washed forever in Jesus' Name

Healing rain it comes with fire
So let it fall and take us higher
Healing rain, I'm not afraid
To be washed in Heaven's rain

Lift your heads, let us return
To the mercy seat where time began
And in your eyes I see the pain
Come soak this dry heart with healing rain

And only You, the Son of man
Can take a leper and make him stand
So lift your hands, they can be held
By someone greater, the Great I Am

Healing rain is falling down
Healing rain is falling down
I'm not afraid I'm not afraid

How can we NOT praise Him - Marilyn

I just posted a poem about rain, and a few days ago I went walking in the rain, it was so beautiful, here where we have so much drought. I love it when it rains, love to listen to the sound of it, especially at night, it lulls me to sleep. Such a cool, clean, peaceful sound. Thank you, sis, for sharing this.
