My Granddaughter Is Coming!!!!

I am so excited!!! My granddaughter and her mother are coming up for a visit on Monday and I can hardly wait. I haven't seen them in about a year and a half.

This is my youngest grandchild. She turned 5 last month. I didn't even know that she existed until she was almost 2 years old. It's a very long story so I won't bore you all with it. But she still calls me her "new" grandma because she had been with her mother's mother for those 2 years before meeting me. Aren't children wonderful?

I may not be all that old and I may not be a man but I have some very beautiful crowns nonetheless.

Pr 17:6 Children's children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers.

Ephesians 6:13 . . .and having done all, to stand

carol, my son and the mother of his two boys didn't marry until the younger boy was 9 months old. At one point my daughter-in-law broke up with my son and told him that she was leaving the state with their oldest son. He met and got involved with another young lady. My daughter-in-law never left despite having told my son that she had, she came to him and informed him that she was pregnant with the second child so he went back to her. As it happens the other young lady was also pregnant. My sons two youngest children, by two different women, are 4 months apart in age. My daughter-in-law did not want my granddaughter to be a part of any of our lives and my son did as she wanted to keep the peace. That is why I didn't even know about her until she was almost 2 years old. He finally couldn't take keeping it from me anymore, he knew that it would break my heart, which it did. It took another 2 years before my daughter-in-law allowed the child into their lives (the boys and my sons) and you could say that I forced the issue there. My son had been visiting her but was not allowed to have her at their home. I believe that my daughter-in-law is still angry with me, what I did was to let her family know about the child and what was going on, but I really don't care since my granddaughter is now able to be with her daddy and her brothers and that is what is most important. I believe that my daughter-in-law is coming around as well since, from what I hear, her entire family have absolutely fallen in love with my granddaughter. My daughter-in-law is 1 of 6 or 7 girls and my granddaughter is the only female grandchild (yes, I said grandchild) to her parents.

appreciate

appreciate, I am 49 years old but my picture is about 10 or 11 years old. I don't have a newer one available to put up. I have 8 grandchildren in all. One is with the Lord, my daughter miscarried it at 10 weeks into the pregnancy, she also has 2 natural and 2 step, my son has 3.

Praise God for this. I am happy for you, Sis!

that was an encouragement to read that as my children grow older and I can see that their lives could become quite messy so it is a relief to read that through it all you have been blessed and things seem to be starting to sort out..
