Giving Praise and Glory to Our God: In just one week I will be starting my third semester in college. When I graduated High School in 1975 I did not believe that college was for me, I hated school back then. It took me thirty-one years before I thought about it enough to try it, and guess what.... I like it!! August 20th school starts and I am looking forward to it. Two, possibly three more semesters and I should have two associates degrees. One in Computer Game Design, and another in Computer Programming.(Computer Science) I want to give praises to God because none of this would be possible without Him. He has made it possible for me to attend school on a grant, He has also bought me a computer with all the newest bells and whistle including dual monitors so I can work on one of them and see what is happening on the other one without having to click back and forth. Am I boasting? Certainly I am boasting, I am proud of what God has done and it is in Him that I boast. I have not done anything and could not have done this no matter how hard I tried. But, God who is loving and merciful can. If anyone will fully commit to Him, He will fully commit to them. If you are looking for a change in the thing around you, why not make a life changing decision? Women have said that men can't or wont make commitments. Men have said the same about women. I am here to ask both men and women to make a commitment that will change your life. God makes a promise to all who will fully commit to Him. 2Ch 16:9 NIV For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. The Complete Jewish Bible says, 2Ch 16:9 For the eyes of ADONAI move here and there throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong on behalf of those who are wholehearted toward him. God has certainly shown Himself strong on my behalf and He will do the same for anyone because God is no respecter of persons. What He has done for one, He will also do for another. Would you please pray with me? Heavenly Father I need you more than ever and I want to make a commitment to you, Father I give of myself willingly, all of me to you, and remind me when I forget this and act as if I am in control when I am not, Father as I commit to you I believe and count on your promise to strengthen me and show yourself strong on my behalf, I know by committing to you I am to do things your way and not mine, show me Father which way to go, and by your Holy Spirit lead me and I will follow, Thank you Father as I commit to you in Jesus name Amen My Heavenly Father to you be all power and glory and honor forever my God. And, to you who prayed this prayer of commitment please keep us updated on what God is doing in your life so that we all may glorify His Holy name together. God Bless You, Mike |

Mike, I am so happy for you....God has blessed you! I have prayed that prayer with you... You are right we need HIM to be in control....and to put us back on the right path when we stray and try to run our own lives. He has the big picture in mind and knows what is best. God Bless, Maria

I'm thrilled for you. It's a long story, but I went to night school for a very long time and then God provided even bigger and I was able to get the degrees I now have. I've been teaching for 7 years now. It's my dream job--just what I felt God wanted me to do all along. I remember early on when God's surprises and encouragements came along! I'd appreciate your prayers as I ready for another year of teaching young people.

The1Firecracker, Last semester was my first in programming and it was just basic programming and pseudo-code, Binary conversions and stuff like that. This semester I have two programming classes, one is a game graphics class and we will be using "SOFTIMAGE XSI" software. The other programming class is a computer programming class and we will probably be programming in C++ and using microsoft visual C++. I will let you know for sure in a few weeks when we get started. Eli, My sister in Christ, I remember, and I remember the tears that flowed down my face as I read your comments that day. You are living proof that God keeps His word and that this verse is not a meaningless verse from "back then" (Old Testiment), as some Christians may believe. God Bless You, Mike
