Hi Marilyn, I'm reading the paper like never before! You would not believe how I'm watching every penny. Basically I'm doing no superfluous spending and paying bills promptly. I'm very eager to see if I can make it on my income...things like property taxes, homeowners' and car insurance really stick ya. But so far it seems OK and it's almost mid-month. Although I'm a bit cynical right now, I must say that God is good! Blessings!

I'm watching Dr Phil as I write this - he's got 3 top financial guys - and they are saying pay off your credit card balances - don't take on any more credit - watch your spending habits. I'm debt free except for my mortgage payment so I'm in pretty good shape. Thank goodness I just got a raise - I can pay more money on my mortgage and put a little more away in the bank each month. So God has a way of blessing us. I will be fine. I feel bad for people who are in a lot of debt or are in line for a lay off at their job - and those that have a lot of children. And especially those that aren't trusting the Lord for their future. Blessings!
