She is a straight A student. She plays the trumpet. She is a goalie on the High School soccer team. She is also openly gay. She has no girl clothes. She wears only boys clothes. ![]() The Mississippi High School, Wesson Attentance Center, has refused to print her picture because she is wearing a Tuxedo, as in the picture. She says that this year book picture represents who she is. The high school has no policy in place on cross dressing, yet it does have a policy in place against discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, or sex. Anyone who has read the Bible knows God's view on gays and homosexuals. But, what many do not know in my opinion, who have read the Bible, is God's view on our sins in the New Covenant or Agreement He has made with the world. All sins of everyone are on the cross and paid for in blood or the death of Jesus. What we deserve, He bore. Anyone can come to Him and have their sins cleansed. There is power at the cross for us to change. Jesus does not refuse anyone who bows before Him. He accepts all comers and makes them part of His family. Everyone in his following is family. Should we then kick out family members or leave this to Jesus who is Head of the family? Of course the High School is not a Church. The governmental institutions are a long way behind the Church, yet I wonder sometimes how far ahead we as a Church are from our schools and government agencies. |

hello richard, i think we all learn from the challenges that people face as they go through life when we choose to love as we learn from Jesus Christ. God sent Jesus as a message of love and forgiveness and when we as humans get caught in judging others we are forgetting what we are called to do as Christians. many people needing acceptance and support flee from Christ's love and peace due to the condemnation of other people. ours is to bring the message of forgiveness through the blood of Jesus expressed so exquisitely in John 3:16. we all have our own things to work through and that goes on throughout our lifetimes. we are not "finished". people do face challenging times and things having to do with sexuality are particularly hot issues if they aren't the usual. i agree that the student's attendance and acceptance - as she is - make the question as to her inclusion or exclusion in the yearbook tasteless and mean spirited at the least. it just doesn't fit. the question is: WHY NOT? regarding the people with wrong gender or both gender bodies, it's the answer of being sensitive to the individual's life experience and problems with their sense of self. in earlier years, it was attempted to assign a sex to both gender people (cut them as babies), but that did NOT work, because the people knew what sex they were supposed to be as they grew up and, if they were assigned the wrong sex, they ended up in the same fix as those who were born into the wrong gender. thankfully, now they are given the respect of choosing for themselves, but it still must be a lot to experience. we are all God's children. we are not all the same. that's just the way it is. blessings and hugs, shar sharFather Son HolySpirit ![]()

Just to expand the perspectives, Richard, as I did on some few posts in the past. There seems to be several outcomes of consequences of "sin". (Considering also Genesis 6!) In general, people have the tendency of thinking linearly, which is the reason that also "genetic homosexuality" is confounded with being socially transmitted and acquired. Have you ever extended your "biblical knowledge" to also comprehend aberrations which to certain people appear "natural" per se? How would that affect your opinion? Here's some examples: What about those "trapped" in the wrong gender body? What about the so called "inter-sexual" cases, that is, some are born with both sexual organs, and their parents are advised not to hasten a surgery until these subjects are able to make a decision on their own? How would you counsel in these cases?
