Interracial Marriage

Black and white, or hispanic and white. or asian and European, these are possible combinations of people with differing race. Where is Jesus on this? As usual, He is way out ahead of the rest of us. He does not believe in any divides at all. He believes in love. He believes in the new creature. He makes all things new.

Where are we in this 21st century of prejudice, bias, discrimination, and law observing civilization? I feel we have made some progress toward the Masters call and empowerment, but not much really.

An interracial couple in Hammond, Louisiana were denied marriage by the justice of the peace because he felt these marriages don't last and its hard on the children.

This man, Terence McKay age 32, and his white girlfriend Beth Humphrey age 30, were denied marriage by the white justice of the peace because they are interracial. Is this Christian? No, it is not!

Agreed. I find it amazing how much predjudice there still is in our country. I had a little boy of color with me one day at Chucky Cheese and I found people giving me dirty looks. I was stunned. Ignorance, truly.
Yep! Try dealing w/ that for 15 years. People are extremely shallow and judgmental, in general.

Romans 14 verse 5 One person regards one day holier than other days, and another regards them all alike. 3 Each must be fully convinced in his own mind.

I see exactly what you are saying. We must be born with prejudice, bias and feelings of discrimination. Perhaps this is our fallen nature still reminding us from where we come. Jesus give us a new vision and a new reality. I believe His reality is the true reality. Unfortunately we live in this world of many false realities. Its not easy to live in this world. Jesus never said it would be. As Christians we are on the leading edge of progress and this is often painful and misunderstood. Even the Jewish authorities didn't understand Jesus, only that He was a threat to their government and their existence. If the world does this to Me said Jesus it will do more even to you. Should we just hide? No, we are put by Him on a hill top to be seen by the world. Our frustrations are a small price to pay in comparison to the price Jesus paid.

Shame on the USA for allowing man and man to join together in matrimony. But, a man and a woman are not allowed. When did the world get so backwards and backwoods. I have an interracial child and she taught me how to LOVE.

yes I know what you mean. I have relatives who are interracial and they are gifted, sometimes stronger than average, and blessed. I am glad for you good experience. Christianity is always way out ahead of us Christians. If only we could see and know what we have. I am sure we would be happier.
