I did the same poll last month lol. I voted yes opposites attract. Opposites balance the other person and vice versa.I think for me that exactly why I usually date an opposite.I'm very outgoing and naturally spontaneous and usually date someone who is shyer and more reserved. Then I learn how to stand back at times while they become more talkative and I learn to listen more. Blessings and congrats? Please remember to keep our soldiers in your prayers!!! Kristy

Of couarse they can, do you think God would create someone like that whom cant? I would like to ask though, do you think ANY Christian would make a good relationship since the church segregates them into mens and womens groups and wont allow anyone to talk to one another? Even in the "singles groups" they are watched like hawk because of the "fear of (sexual) temptation," between BROTHERS and SISTERS, nonetheless......It makes it as if Christianity came from the deep south (insest), and not from Israel!

Wow! lots of responses on this one! I agree that the primary ingredient needs to be that the relationship is centralized around God. I was married to an exact opposite for 15 yrs. It made life interesting and well, sometimes we drove each other a little crazy because we were so different (me extroverted/him introverted and I liked going out/he liked staying in etc.) but. . . the marriage lasted for quite a while. I think the key missing piece was that we were unequally yoked. I had no idea how impt this was when I met him in my early 20's. Sharing of spiritual beliefs is what I seek in a partner now. I also have to be honest, it is "interesting" and never a dull moment w/an opposite. However, I'm looking for someone w/a more outgoing disposition who can speak their mind and feelings more. Yup! I'm actually trying for someone more like myself the second time around- not to say that differences aren't wonderful! Complete opposites though. . . Yeesh, that's a CHALLENGE!!! Just curious, anyone out there married to an opposite now or in the past? What do you think?

I think opposites can attract if they appreciate each other for who they are and don't use their differences for picking fights. Haven't you heard it said that opposite approaches to a problem can find balance? That is the way I would like to see opposites attract, in a way that seeks solutions.
