 my mom is now back on a wound vac and after only 3 days it has healed up more then half way this is the most i hae EVER seen it heal up...i am in COMPLETE SHOCK because she was on a wound vac for 22 days in the nurseing home and it barely even healed up,they had called in wound specialist and wound vac specialist day after day and still it was not healing........ i must say her surgeon must REALLY knows what he is doing cause i have never seen anything like this..when he first put her on the wound vac after she came home he told me that she will probly only neeed to be on it for 2 wks and i thought to myself well she will probly need it on longer then that cause it didnt even heal last time.... BUT at this rate it will probly be healed up in the next few days....all i got to say is KUDOS to the surgeon he really knows his stuff AND
kudos to her new home nurse who has been changeing her dressing on the vac because she is doing an AWESOME job with it... she also knows what she is doing ...me and her DID NOT hit it off at first because she expects me to do her job and she STILL DOES!!!!! but i am gonna over look her rude comments about me doing it because it appears she knows how to do this ESPECIALLY since she had it practically healed up in only 3 days....and maybe just maybe ...before this is all over with i will let her teach me how to do it although i have already been watching her do it, it mite be nice to know how to do it for next time my mom has surgery i can probly do it myself since i am sure she is gonna be in the same boat all over again when she has surgery to reattach her colon and i am sure EVERYONE will be expecting me to do there job AGAIN
