I need my BC brothers and sisters help.....

As most of you that know me know I have been divorced for 8 months... and I like many of you that have found yourself single again there is a loneliness to it... I know I have my kids and friends, but still there is that emptiness I feel... of wanting to be excepted..

I have a confession to make and I hope you all can help me with my problem and not judge me... If you would have told me a year ago that I would be dealing with this problem I would have told you NOWAY I have more self control than that... I know that this kind of stuff was out there in the world, and that other men may have falling prey to it, but not me...it would never consume me..

I can name the date when this all first started... it was like it grabbed a hold of my heart and soon this problem started to consume my thoughts.. you know it is ramped on the Internet you see it everywhere... I find myself sneaking at work for it, going to it when I get home, before I go to bed at night, to try and satisfy my new need for this...I believe this problem has taken over my life and I can't seem to get away from it... me being a God fearing man, how could this happen to me...

I believe that I am addicted to this problem... and can't seem to control it any longer..... So please my BC friends I need your help I can't fight this problem alone any more..........

You see my name is Rod and I'm addicted to................................

Hey Rod, that's pretty witty humor......some of the best I've encountered for awhile.
There could just be some truth in your words for some of us though.

Wow, I think I can hear the buz of those in the psychological professions gearing up now.

ou're bad, rodney...real BAD...
and B.A.D. stands for
"Blog Addiction Disorder."

A New York Times article called "Hooked on the Web" says some specialists believe 6 to 10% of Internet users have an unhealthy addiction to the Internet -- and they are ready to offer addiction recovery services. Some are even calling it Internet Addiction Disorder or IAD. And, of course, blogging is listed as one of the addictive Internet activies in the article. How long before some mental health professionals come up with BAD or Blog Addiction Disorder and offer recovery services to boot?

you got it BAD!!

Amen, sister!!!! I was like Dundeal in that when I saw the title, I was ready to hit my knees in intercession! Instead, I was almost ROFL!!!! (So I guess I almost did hit my knees in a manner of speaking!)

And may I please add something? I don't want to turn this into something serious when it is so wonderful as it is (i.e. light-hearted). However, the reality is, I've come through one of the most difficult three years of my life. In Dec., the most significant person in my life said, "distance from you is what I have to have in my life to have peace." I've suffered rejection many times before, but nothing that has hit me as hard as this.

T.D. Jakes did a sermon not too long ago entitled, "Potholes" and man, have I ever hit a major pothole on the way to destiny.

Due to various circumstances, I'm quite isolated. And I'm even involved in ministry. I'm a worship leader and helping start a church. But the church is 100 miles away, and I spend maybe four hours per week with the people there, and the majority of that time is in the actual service.

Blogging, for me, is more than a laughable addiction; it's a way to connect with some of my brothers and sisters in Christ in a way that I really need right now. I'm so thankful that He led me to BC. It really is an answer to my heart cry for some meaningful fellowship with other believers.

So, thanks, Rod, for a GREAT post! I needed a GOOD laugh, and you more than supplied it!!!
