I was serious once upon a time.
But things change, you know.

It all started with an incident I spoke of here recently. I wanted a Dick Tracy gun for Christmas and ended up getting a 6 shooter, western style. I then lost my faith in Santa Claus.
But what Santa didn't know was that I, already at that young age, knew about Billy the Kid and Jesse James. So, I would use it to rob all the other little kids....now that was funny.***

So, then at about 11 I made the altar call which included baptism. This running buddy friend of mine started following me down the steps and to the aisle thinking that I was headed for the exit...as we often skipped out on church. By then all eyes were upon us and I kept going straight, to his bewilderment, and so he had no choice but to stick with me. He got baptized too and he hates water. Now that was funny...I don't care who you are.***

So, for some unreal reason, a few days later I stole a Gold Brick piece of candy. Now, I always did things to make money and had money even then and it wasn't about the money, but to see what all I could get away with. And I did...pretty cool, huh...? and funny, a little 11 year old Jesse James getting revenge on Santa Claus.***

But that mother of mine found it and asked me about it. Well, I had just been saved, so I couldn't lie to her. I mean, I could steal but I couldn't lie....know what I mean....well, the look on her face wasn't so funny and she marched little Jesse down to return it and apologize. Yea, it was hard keeping a straight face.***

Well, I could go on for a long time like this....but you get the idea. So, because of the trauma that Santa Claus can cause, some of us just can't be serious. And what is worse we aren't even a recognized minority. So, naturally I resent your exclusion of non-serious posting....*S*

Drifter, I rarely listen to radios. Perhaps once in a blue moon!
It must have been a TV series and was related to crop circles too.

The denoument was by Pearl Barley, a serious cereologist in the field!

[Addendum: In Roman mythology, Ceres was the goddess of grain and agriculture! - Greek equivalent Demeter. She was associated with the mother goddess Cybele worshiped in Phrygia - later absorbed into the kingdom of Lydia.

Although Syria was not mentioned, the great king Cyrus was. He conquered Lydia. Worth noting that Damascus is the Syrian capital today and they speak Arabic.]

Phrygia reminds of King Midas. Remember him? Everything he touched was supposed to become gold. I can't say for sure, but maybe it was him who touched that chicken-that-crossed-the-road and began to make golden eggs ?

What happened to your hair, Robin? Didn't your conditioner and cold water work this time? LOL! Where is your goldie bangs?
