Ready To Be Used?

God will use our talents and personalities to Glorify himself! If you think you have no talent, think again! You are a jewel in the diadem of Christ.

Are you shy? You may have deep empathy for those who are set aside socially.

Are you angry, BE YE ANGRY then, but sin not. Your passion could make you a dynamic individual with convictions that sway some to Christ.

Are you wounded? Then show mercy and kindness to those who have no hope as we have hope in Christ.

Are you bold? Then step up and call to the lost sheep! Bring those who are lost the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Are you athletic? Use your strength for Jesus, helping those who are old and weak.

Are you peristent? Be an intercessor! Tug at your Daddy's sleeve until he must turn to see your plead.

Remember this:
3 ¶ Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4 ¶ Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Is. 61.2

5 ¶ Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Ps. 37.11

6 ¶ Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Is. 55.1, 2

7 ¶ Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

8 ¶ Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Ps. 24.4, 5

9 ¶ Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

10 ¶ Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: 1 Pet. 3.14 for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 ¶ Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 1 Pet. 4.14

12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets 2 Chr. 36.16 · Acts 7.52 which were before you.

What personality trait or talent has flourished in your life to the glory of God?

Teaching, music, communication in a nutshell if I was taking inventory I suppose. Nevertheless without love they are of little value aren't they?

Ya know what I've learned in my time of study? I don't really know that much, that's quite a revelation to be the result of diligent study actually. Imagine if the longer someone went to college to earn their degree the further that degree appeared to be from their reach, that's kinda how it feels. But that's just how HUGE God is, we learn a little about His stuff and quickly begin to think we got it all figured out, I know I did, sometimes still do. Yet He slowly reveals to us what Paul had already discovered, now we see through a glass darkly, "Then" face to face, although he stated it in no uncertain terms, I admit I had to discover it all myself the hard way, gesh I'm still learning it.

I chuckle when I see some so boldly claim that they have all the correct doctrine, their church has all the right observances, they every point of prophecy all figured out, this is that and that is this, without even the least consideration that perhaps what they think they know could possibly be in error, yeah I chuckle. Not that I'm chuckling at them, I'm chuckling looking back at myself, Mr. Knowitall who came to find he really didn't know half what he thought he did. That was God's doing, was for my own good, keeps things in their proper perspective, God is God and well, I'm not.

Ya know what God wants me to recognize more than anything else? His Love. He wants it exhibited in every mention of His name, or I have not properly referenced Him. He wants it expressed in my every action, or that action is burned as wood hay and stubble. It all boils down to love, and once again I fail, I fail to always place it in front of everything I do. My flesh thrives on exhibiting knowledge and winning approval, it loves to be in the spotlight and acknowledged, as a musician, as a songwriter, as a teacher so much time wasted by pride, when it's all about Him.

What personality or trait or talent has flourished in my life for His glory? Honestly, not near as much as I may have once thought. But now, I want to love, I want to be a vehicle in which God can use to express that love, and still I fail because I too often attempt it in my own strength, sigh, it just isn't there.

"Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, Says the Lord of Hosts".

You nailed it Sis, being an intercessor is one of the greatest examples of God's loving nature, it nailed His Son to the cross on my behalf. Sorry I went on beyond the the question, perhaps it hit a nerve, maybe what I needed to hear at this moment in time. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God, don't we just wanna see Him!

They nailed Him on a cross of wood, yet He made the hill on which it stood.

That's love.

God bless you Rhonda, your very special, easy to love, yup, kinda like Him!

Hi Rhonda, I think being creative is a talent God has used, like with writing, singing, things like that. I also cook because I enjoy feeding people at church.

I'm good with money but have been frivolous at times, missing the mark. Those days are over for awhile! God bless.

Hi Rocky,
Well if this post touched you or inspired you to think----your comment could very well have been talking about me and most definitely to me. When you said, "My flesh thrives on exhibiting knowledge and winning approval", I know that this is the nature of my flesh, too.
You are so right, without the love of Christ, each word we speak is like the noise of a clanging cymbol. The Taj Mahal in all it's splendor will not bring joy, nor all the money or gold or accolades in the world bring joy-without the love of Christ.

I am so thankful that when I have been weak, he has placed me where I needed to be. He placed me in teaching special needs children and it is not just a career, it is a ministry. Although I do not work at a Christian school, I have been able to comfort, touch and lead several children to the Lord. I am happy. Rocky, thank you for this comment and thank you for being a friend. Love to you, Rhonda

Hi PJ,
So true. When the bible says "in the last days the love of many shall wax cold", we see that everyday. People are angry and miserable and there are few who are willing to bring the love of Christ and live the law of love. We are a peculiar people. I am very blessed to know you PJ and I thank you for your friendship. Hugs to you, Rhonda
